I must start out saying I got out of work at 430 on a Sat afternoon. Discovered I had a flat in the…read moreparking lot at work. Not many shops open at this time on the weekend. Luckily, I had a retired friend who knew of this tire shop and had done business w/ them. I was fighting to get my tire off and luckily after almost 45 min of battle someone showed up w/ a sledge hammer to knock the tire off the hub. I put my spare on and go to this tire place. They were only open till 6 and my retired pal took the tire to their shop ahead of me. When I arrived the owner showed me a piece of sheet metal that was in the tire and he & his son were putting a patch on. They wanted time for glue to dry. I assured them I was in no hurry to leave. They put my spare tire back in the harness underneath and cranked it up to its closed position and locked it up. Eventually the tire was patched and wheel was put on my car & has been fine since. Damages? $15. Good service, price was fine and they put my spare back in place. I told the guy, hey you were worth $20 today so I gave him a 20. Go here. Reasonable & they will take care of you.

The truck was running so I knew somebody was there...and there was. The owner - Mr. Jose Tires himself. He just opened and he was still moving things around inside, so the doors were locked. And I know...the truck was still running. Mr. Jose immediately opened the doors after I knocked and took care of business. He didn't have the correct tire, so he called his other shop (Calumet Ave.) and had them bring one ASAP. Impressive. $15.00 and 25 minutes later I was out the door. At Pepe's I NEVER feel like I'm being taken when I'm given an explanation as to what problems my car has. I've been so happy with their honest business that I've taken my mom's car there too and I've recommended his shop to a few friends, all of them have also been satisfied. I bought a new car back in 2011 and I didn't have to pay them a visit for a while. A few months ago I ran into some issues with my tires, I thought I could take the car to Pepe's to get fixed. Although he told me he couldn't do the type of work that my car needed with the tires he was very honest with his advice and gave me some recommendations for what I could do, unlike the dealer that was talking about sky high prices for parts and repairs. Today, I had to take my car in for a few minor repairs...again, honest and friendly business and very quick service. Once again, I'm a happy customer. I would NOT take my car anywhere else but to Pepe's. Just know that this shop does not accept credit cards, at least you know and you can be prepared to pay in cash. Due to a great cost the car was returned a few days later for the replacement of the other (2) tires. Upon arrival, Ms Ortiz, a manager accepted the car after I explained that tire situation. After about an hour & 1/2 the vehicle was now ready for check out. An Assistant Manager , Lala called out to close out the purchase. I have to say this location is in need of much better service to the customer. NO I mean NO manager, Supervisor or Cashier should ever be talking on the phone to a customer, be eating food(donuts), accept a walk in customer information while still on the phone. This behavior is totally unacceptable & a disrespect to both the customer on the phone & the customer standing before the Manager. It appears that much more training is needed here. Also, the cell phone was picked up & used while the customer was standing & patiently waiting. This was serious multitasking yet not at all appropriate or fair to the customers. Hopefully, these matters will be addressed & appropriate customer service will be provided as soon as possible. The environment was clean
