I want to give a shout out to Performance Auto. I cannot say enough good things about the owner, Chris and his wife Dana. We took our truck in for some minor repairs. After picking it up we noticed that it was leaking fluid, so we took it back in to see what was going on. Because of a conversation we had had with Dana in the office they were aware that we were about to drive half way across the country on our honeymoon. Chris called and said that he really wanted to give the truck a thorough look over before sending us out. He found that the minor repair had shifted pressure to weak spot in the radiator and caused a bigger issue. He spent 12 hours working our truck that day to make sure that it was safe for our trip, even covering some of the cost because he hadn't personally witnessed the previous mechanic putting it under pressure after the first repairs. We have used this shop in the past but now we will never go anywhere else! Very family oriented and professional! They definitely go above and beyond for their customers! read more

Best auto repair in Warrensburg. My car is a higher end import that is going on 12 years old. So when I started having age-related computer issues, I began to panic and call the local dealerships. No one wanted to touch it, everyone wanted to send me to Kansas City; convenient when you live in Warrensburg (1 hr away) and work in Sedalia (1.5 hr away). So I turned to my trusty Yelp and found a single review, touting Performance Automotive as "safe and secure". So we gave them a call, they saw my car on a Friday and returned it to me on Monday with the problem solved. I ended up going in a few more times throughout the year due to other computer malfunctions that cropped up. One of those times, the part didn't fix the problem after all and I called in in and they replaced it again for free. Being both female and a semi-inept car owner, I did not feel like they were selling me anything more than I needed, nor did I feel that they were condescending. My first vehicle has always had problems with different parts of the engine. When worse came to worse, Performance Automotive jumped up to the plate and fixed the belt, the left and right cylinder, leakage of coolant, my gas tank falling out, and brake issues. Now my vehicle is in top tier condition, in a hell of a lot better condition than what it was when I got it. The people who work here are friendly and always seem professional. So my mother in laws car gets a check engine light and it's miss firing she takes it to Performance Automotive and they tell her to fix the car its going to be over 1000 buck..... for a tune up she pays them 75$ for the diagnosis which i'm sure auto zone does for free plugging in a computer to another computer to sell you a part Long story short all it need was a 75$ ignition coil 79$ for life time warranty read more

I had my kia serviced for a complete dianogstics done. the people were friendly and respectful . they are honest, and trustworthy. the did a complete detailed job and even addressed all the concerns i had as well. they had my car done in a timely manner and did not rush. I was able to talk to the machnic before he started and explained what was wrong .the mechanic explained in depth what was wrong and what parts were needed to fix it. i will defenity bring my vehicle back and i would recommend performance to anyone. looking for a mechnic and shop that cares about you as well as your car peformance is the place .thanks performance!! read more

Never deal with them unless for inspection and diagnosis. I got the engine light flashing. They told me I have to go with 2 scenarios, the first one doing engine flushing for $300, if it does not work, i must replace the Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (the pairs) for $1600. They wanted to rip me off indeed. Unfortunately, I did the first scenario and definitely it did not work and it will never work. Then I decided to do some research. I bought the parts by myself from Ebay for $100 and change it in another garage for $75. So, instead of spending $1900, I only spent 175$. DON'T DEAL WITH THEM read more

So today this older lady, late 70's or early 80's, walks in before me. She explains that she just drove into town and the temperature light came on and she asked if someone could look at it. The lady behind the desk said that they could look at it Monday at the earliest. Listening to the conversation I said I think what she means is she would like someone to just check to see if her car is running hot because she is not sure if she can drive it anymore without damaging it and she is stuck here if she can't. The girl behind the desk said no they can't. This sorta pissed me off so I went out to look at her car. As I was checking her car out she explained to me that her husband just died two months ago and she has no one to call, and that she really appreciates me looking at her car. Come to find out the light that she thought she had was just the word "TEMPERATURE" written under the gauge. She laughed and said she had never noticed it before and thought it was a light. This is no ding on the mechanics, I hear they are good, but customer service from the girl behind the desk is not representive of shop I want my cars serviced at. Would it have hurt to see if a mechanic had two minutes to look at her car? read more
