Everything way GREAT from A to Z. We met Mike, the salesmen, who did an amazing job selling my wife and I the complete package. Windows, Roof, Gutters. Thanks Mike, we enjoyed working with you. Mike is very good with following up and answered all of our questions along with making the best recommendations based on our budget. The roof install went smooth and was complete within a day. We did have an issue with a section of roof shingles and a chimney flashing that weren't installed correctly at first but was later corrected 8 weeks later. It took a long time to get someone back out here to correct the issue. I was disappointed that the owner didn't respond to me directly however a company rep did help us in the end and everything was resolved. Glass block windows were installed for the basement and turned out great! The install time was only a few hours. The basement gets a lot more natural light now. New Gutters transformed the house made a big difference. Took a few hours for the contractor to install. The windows were installed in a day with 2 installers completing the job. We had an issue with a marble window sill cracking after the install. We were able to resolve the issue with the installer finding an almost identical sill which turned out to be a better fit. Very happy with the end result. Our energy bills have already gone down compared to the previous year. Large home projects can be difficult. Home owners must understand that there can and will be bumps in the road with any project. We were very happy and impressed in the end. The value of our home has gone way up since the appraisal. I had new windows installed a couple years ago and been having a serious problem with bees getting into my home through the new windows Performance Remodeling installed. I was stung twice and they refuse to compensate me for the bee stings. I should have read all the complaints they have before choosing them. I stopped paying my monthly payments to Service Finance until this matter is resolved or unfortunately I will have to take them to court. this really stinks it has to come to this but they might not leave me any choice. Very unprofessional, don't listen to what you're saying and very rude on the phone. I can't believe they are still in business. read more

First off, when a person or company says that they can only give the discounts that they talk about if you sign today. That always concerns me, why the big hurry, and I can understand a 10% or 15% discount, but when there's a 65% drop in price there's something wrong. I didn't do business with performance remodeling because of this and after reading reviews I'm glad I didn't. They should try being open and upfront with the pricing . read more

Reviewing the past commentary on "Rich", the alleged owner/manager of the company, makes me feel much better about the situation - it's nothing personal, he's simply a very rude, condescending, and arrogant person (and has a mouth that writes checks his company can't cash). Nearly seven months into a simple door replacement project and I am still without a functioning doorway. We've experienced missed appointments, incorrect deadlines, wrong sized product delivered 2x, harassing collection calls for full payment (despite job not completed), incorrect product installed, and an owner who has zero desire to own up to the mistakes and problems encountered so far...in fact, when I was actually able to speak to him for the first and last time, his response to me was, "Don't worry about the past. Let's get this done so you can get on with your life." Seriously? How is this outfit still in business with such a poor attitude as it relates to customer service and satisfaction? Install team has been great so far. I actually feel sorry that their talents can't be utilized by an "owner" who respects and appreciates their efforts. The fish truly stinks at the head. read more

Ordered a door in July.Paid half in advance.Promised door in 3 weeks. Now I find out if I cancell,they (and blood sucking lawyers)would 66%!Cont:now nov29.They brought my dood!Did not fit! It was measured twice by different people. Not a fan. Door-to-door salesman saw I had a patch on my roof - knocked on my door, told me they do roofing, and asked if I wanted a quote. As it happens I'm gathering quotes, so I said "yes"... They called later and scheduled an appointment to get an estimator to come out. All fine and dandy . Estimator shows up, I explain the situation - when I mention that I'm gathering quotes so I can make an informed decision on what is a major job, he asks if I'll be able to make the decision that day. Of course, I tell him "no"; I'd be stupid to just jump the gun like that - I don't have my other quotes yet. And then he presses the issue, tries to strong arm me - tries telling me they're really booked far for roofs, if I wait it could be many more months, etc... And then starts trying to say that my patch won't last, he's shocked it made it this far, and they really need to get me soon in the schedule or there could be more interior damage, etc. Still told him "no", I don't do business like that. And then he found out I was married, and my wife wasn't home - game over. They need my wife home so that we can go over all our options, look at packages, etc. He can't do his job otherwise. And says "any self-respecting company would do the same." Like, seriously? What packages and options can you possibly offer me? I need a new roof. I need a quote. Take the measurements and send it over, I'll review it with my wife on my own. Or send me a list of all my options. If it's that big of a deal, then have her sign any paperwork with me AFTER we review your quote. Or tell me this when I set the appointment so I'm not wasting my time. She doesn't need to be there for you to estimate the cost of my roof. Guy was clearly a salesman that was less interested in telling me how much they would charge, and more interested in selling me on more services (fix up the interior room that has water damage, repair the gutters and replace them with all new ones, etc). I don't like getting sold crap I don't want. And I don't rush major decisions. Reading the other reviews seems like I'm not the only one that had problems right off the bat. At the time of purchase we were told that it would take five months before the job would be complete, so we were not expecting it any sooner, but in that time we were given a call monthly for any updates. When men came to take measurements they were very professional, knowledgeable and gave us a strong sense of confidence that the job would be perfect. On the day of installation we weren't sure what to expect, but turned out to be a very comfortable experience. The crew was professional, polite, very knowledgeable and took great pride in their work. We will be using this company in the future and would definitely recommend them to anyone else! I used this company in 2023 for windows and then again 3/2024 for new gutters. After I signed the contract there was a total lack of regard or customer service in communication & setting up the install date. They came a week early to install unannounced and started taking down my old gutters. When I confronted them I was told they were told to do it that day. I work from home and had to reschedule and miss my work calls due to the noise. Received no apology from the scheduling staff or crew. The sales Rep Steve didn't return my communication and didn't try to make amends. They lack integrity and clearly are more interested in making money over basic customer service. they replaced our windows. They did not tell us common blinds do not fit , they have to be special ordered. also not informed window inside frame is smaller, frame is larger(wider). This might be why regular inside widow blinds will not fit. The salesman was not informative . He was just about making a sale.Obviously he does not know his job is to inform customers.We did call the salesman and all he says is thanks for the feedback. Also stated the way he likes his blinds to look. It is not about how he likes things to look it is about how I want it to look. Would not recommend this company . read more

They did our siding less than a year ago. Part of the siding came off the side of our house and now the trim is coming off. We asked them to fix it a week ago. They promised they would come out and fix asap. Still nothing. The workers left trash and cigarette butts all over our yard after the job was completed. So disappointed. read more

I had an unsolicited guy come up to my door and normally I would ignore them. That day I answered and figured I would hear them out. The next day a salesman arrived and we signed a contract. Both my wife and myself were present and I don't see any issue with that. People underestimate the importance and value of time. It's a respect thing. They don't want to waste their time or yours. Signed contract in march with performance to do major projects on our house....roof, siding, and windows. So far only the roof has been done and we are very unhappy. The actual roof turned out ok but we found MANY nails in our drive, flowers crushed and we picked up 42 (not an exaggeration) cigarette butts out of our lawn. They damaged our metal roof over the front window to the point of needing replacement. We are easy going people and contacted performance over 5 times to get someone to address these issues before writing this review. Performance said they came out to run a magnet over the yard to pick up nails but we never saw anyone come and we are still finding them. Our salesman Mike has been no help in this. We are so disappointed. With all the good reviews we were expecting a much more professional company. If they would have responded quickly and addressed out concerns maybe this would have been a different review. Very frustrating... read more

We had them replace windows several years ago and everything went well, so we hired them to replace our roof. They made a terrible mess, cut our cable tv, or shingled over it, and denied it, and broke our cemented in basketball hoop by hitting it with their car door. They tried to hide the hoop on the side of the garage and left without completing the roof or knocking on the door to tell us what happened. When I saw the hoop down I called the office who contacted the crew. They lied to the office and said the hoop was already down. The Vice President called me and argued that his crew was not responsible. It was only because I had been out in the driveway before they came and knew the pole was up that convinced him to call the crew back and they admitted they lied. They gave us $ to purchase a portable hoop in the spring. My husband went around the yard and driveway picking up debris and nails. Unfortunately he missed one nail and it wound up in the tire of our second car and destroyed it. We just spoke with them and they refuse to pay for the replacement of the tire, even though it had only been out once since the roofing job, and we have a picture of the roofing nail in the tire. They basically called us liars for claiming it was their responsibility. I have never written a negative review before, but the hassle this company put us through was ridiculous. We had our siding and gutters (and 1 window) done by Performance. The price quote was on the high side but the salesman Matt had us convinced we would get the best quality. One thing I was adamant about in our conversation was having gutter guards since we are surrounded by trees. Matt told us yes, the could include gutter guards. Well surprise, they were not included! When I called and spoke to Matt I was told he doesn't have gutter guards in his notes and it was not included in our cost so he would have to call us back with a price. He called back with a quote of $2,270 for midline gutter guards (that's 10% of the total job...insane). Our house is not big, mostly brick and we have two peaks that don't even have gutters. So his oversight becomes an additional hefty expense to us. He told us what we wanted to hear to make the sale and then doesn't follow through. That is extremely poor customer service. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the guys who installed the siding and our window did a good job. I will be looking for other quotes on gutter guards as I'm not giving a company who does not stand behind customer service any more money. read more

After the COVID-19 delay in starting the project, materials took weeks to arrive. Crew was scheduled the same day, then delayed, and again. Finally got to work, but worked 1 day out of three due to conflicting schedules with other jobs. Decking was completed in two weeks, even though it was a 4 day job. THEN we had to wait for correct materials to be ordered and delivered BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL DESIGN COULD NOT BE BUILT AS SOLD - Items included were not offered by the supplier (per their catalogue.) WEEKS later alternate material arrived, then we again had on and off work, and the final details to make the job look professional took badgering on our part to make the raw edges look good. That took two more days. Overall time from 1st delivery to completion: SEVEN WEEKS! I CANNOT RECOMMEND this company. They do not use their own crews, do not review contracts for accuracy vs design, do not follow-up regarding delays, and got abusive regarding not being paid ON THE SPOT for final work (we have been exposed to the virus.) The OWNER pounded on our door 12 hours after completion demanding payment! Good products, POOR product knowledge, NO project management, shoddy finishing work until pushed. I had these guys come out last weekend (April 24, 2021) to give me an estimate on the roofing and siding at my Mom's house. The sales guy that came to my house used a hard sell and gave a very high "normal" price and than gave a "volume" price and then came down another $5k when I told him what I expected to pay. He got mad when I wouldn't sign the agreement and proceeded to go on and on about how he was not one of the normal sales people and that he was the owner's step son. Not a good sales pitch in my opinion and if you can drop the price $10,000 dollars in 10 minutes, that means you are playing games. I guess overcharging a woman in her 80's is perfectly acceptable. He had a major chip on his shoulder and was incredibly arrogant. He then said how busy he was and how they didn't need our business and wouldn't come back himself. All In all, a solid waste of my time. When I'm spending $15k or more on renovations, I will undoubtedly get more than one quote and the hard sell is not a good tactic. I'll be sure to keep this incident in my mind as I maintain two houses and there always seems to be some sort of project at one of the two houses. read more

They showed up an hour late for an appointment, the salesman then tried to enter our house w/o a mask. After the initial first impression, we were told an estimate would be sent via email within 24hrs; after a week w/o quote we decided to call and was told they are busy and will get the quote to us ASAP. We finally received the quote 3 days later and multiple items we requested was not quoted. What a waste of time, this company just lost a $70k sale. They over commit and under deliver. We called this company in 2018 for a quote on a new roof but decided to go with another company. They called me a week and a half ago and asked if they could offer us a quote on anything else. It just so happens that we would like to getting siding on our home. The woman who called said they were 2 weeks out and couldn't set up a time to quote siding but that she would call me back on May 26th. During that call, I asked if she would be 2 weeks further out if she called back on the 26th and she said no. I get a call back today, May 28th and she says she can't schedule a quote until the middle of June. Isn't that what I said was going to happen when you called almost 2 weeks ago? I now have very little confidence in this company and will surely move forward with one of the two companies that have already provided a quote. read more

My current experience is absolutely atrocious!!! The brand new installed door wall had marks on it, they sent someone out who was a supervisor of some sort he said it just needs to be cleaned and that he would send someone out. Didn't hear back until I got an email from Jana requesting final payment. I told her I was waiting for the cleaner to come up and fix the doorwall. She sent someone the next day who scrubbed these spots so hard he took the finish off and when I pointed it out his response was "oh come on lady, now your just nit picking," I said excuse me, he said, "I'm done servicing you, you're never going to be happy, I'm out of here." I said wow, I am not paying for this project until its done. Later that evening I found a letter on my kitchen table tucked in between all my christmas decorations I was in process of getting up. Stating that I need to pay my balance by....a week basically or they will be suing me and putting a lien on my home, and I would then be responsible for final payment, court costs and fees etc. I had already emailed Jana explaining my dissatisfaction with the man who came out to "fix" the issue. No response from her 2 days later Chris the VP called and left 2 messages in 2 hours and stated in the second message it was his second time calling. Well when I was done with work that day I called and left him a message stating I was in work and planned to get back to him when my day allowed and that I look forward to his return call. I still have not heard back. A great experience in the beginning....turning into a nightmare!!!!! Worst customer service I have ever received. I still am in disbelief of how that man talked to me.....So I am still waiting for someone to come correct this job, in the meantime, they are threatening to sue me and put a lien on my home..... I made an appoint with Performance Remodeling at the builders show for 5/4/21 estimate. John Terranova the salesman shows up on time, seemed to be a nice guy. Measured for a entry door, and storm door. Mr. Terranova gave me a price, that was acceptable. I told him I did have another company coming over for a estimate and that I wanted to check reviews and look at work that they already done in the area. I called Mr. Terranova back and set up another meet for 5/8/21 to get a written contract. We went over all the details, and prices, and what work that was to be done. We both signed the contract, dated it, and I gave Mr. Terranova a deposit. On 5/10/21 Mr. John Terranova called and said he would need another $1000.00 to do the job. He said he forgot to add one of the doors on the contract even thou our contract listed both doors, color and hardware and price. Also on 5/8/31 Mr. Terranova had to send his supervisor a pic of our contract to his supervisor phone for his approval. Mr. Terranova's supervisor did approve the written contract. On 5/10/21 Mr. Terranova called and said he needed another $1000.00. I told him we had a signed contract? His answer was I made a mistake, i need another $1000.00. I called Performance that very minute and talked to a man named Rich that said he was the owner, but wouldn't give me his last name. He was EXTREMELY rude and loud and stated he would not honor our signed contract. I told him i would I write a review on all site about there shady business practice's. His response was it don't make difference to him. I guess Rich, who said he was the owner does not care about his reputation? Steer clear of Performance Remodeling, very shady people. Don't trust this company with your hard earned money. They came to my door about 6 weeks ago and wanted to set up an estimate for my roof stating that they could file a homeowners claim to get it covered. I stated I have no interest in filing a claim because nothing has happened, the roof is just old. I made the appointment (my 1st mistake) and the salesman that showed up REFUSED to do the estimate because my husband was not home. I explained I own this home legally, not my husband. He had a major attitude and just left. The company calls me a few days later, I explain what happened. They apologize and said let me make this right for you. They send out another salesman who in turn does the same exact thing only politely this time. Stating that its the law to have husband and wife there for estimating and that he could lose his license if he did estimate. I told him look buddy, there is no law regarding that because no contracts are being signed and besides that I have owned this home since 1987 and my husband and I have only been married 4 years. His name is not on any paperwork to do with this home. He apoligized and said he could not help me and left. Now I'm twice as mad for wasting my time, both times. Now I get a phone call a week ago from Performance. I tell the person what has happened on two seperate occasions. He stated they have had a change in management and that's not how they do their business and could I give them 1 more chance to make this right, they even offered me 25% of the quoted price. So I said ok. I make the appointment, the day comes and I'm waiting and waiting and no one shows. So I leave and get a phone call 45 minutes after the appointment time and this girl says where are you? Were here. I said the appointment was for 5 and no one showed up. She preceeds to tell me that they have a 1 hour window to show up from the appointment time and would I like to reschedule? I told her absoloutely not! If I have to go through this much trouble to get an estimate, I could only imagine how their customer service would be if I have a problem with my roof if they installed it. Be very careful when dealing with this company because something is very off. read more
