Great place to go for a huge selection and great prices. My sales lady Vicky was tremendous. She probably spent 1-1/2 showing me not only the ones I wanted to sample but some others she recommended. It' hard to tell from a thin strip sprayed and other scents in the store...coffee beans really don't help. But I'd spray a bit on my skin and ask the other sales ladies what they thought. The one's I bought I liked and they loved! I bought 3. They were authentic (not fake like a lot of those booths are in downtown fashion district. Look for a metal stamp on the bottom of the bottle next to another stamp. If it doesn't have a metal stamp or engraving in the bottle, it's probably fake. Mostly men in there. Vicky even showed me how to get a bigger discount and asked me if I wanted bottled water. I took two. With all the booths in front of the stores in that area it's hard to find but I did. Parking is a scam...they wave $3 or $5 signs and point you to building parking and then when you get there it's $20! She said the $3-$5 was weekdays. But I felt safer there so I paid the $20. But I really just wanted to compliment Vicky for her patience with me. Give her a raise boss...or at least kudos. Many kudos. Thanks Perfumes LA...I'll be back. read more

I have been there 3 times, the first time Claudia helped and everything went smoothly I spent over $1,000. The 2nd time I went there, a male supervisor intervened rudely into our conversation. I didn't make a big deal about it since he was not the one helping me. However during my 3rd visit there. I spoke with an assistant supervisor names Amelia who put to the side the last bottle of fragrance they had left for me. I was driving through the horrible traffic in LA and Amelia somehow had to go home. Unfortunately, the same Hispanic male supervisor made me feel like I was a burden. He must've stopped helping me at least 3 times to go help other people. His excuse was there were short of staff. By the time he called Amelia and located the fragrance she put aside for me, I was over it. Not to mention the fragrance had no plastic on it, which tells me that it was used. Honestly, I went there not because they have the best price, it's merely because I don't have the patience for shipping. Nonetheless, if you are looking for authentic fragrances you can go on Jomashop, or Fragrance net, Maxaroma or Scents Angels. Needless to say I will not be going back! read more

I read the reviews on Google and Yelp. I decided to drive to DTLA and check them out. After making it through the craziness of the Garment District, I found the shop. The first guy didn't seem willing to help, customer service was off here. Then a girl was not happy about helping me, she wanted me to know exactly what I wanted and didn't want me to smell stuff. Which is odd at a perfume store u can't go smell things. I guess things get stolen there a lot because everything is behind the counter. Which makes it hard to shop. Finally, another girl helped me who was friendly. The price she gave was retail and they're cheaper online, like considerably cheaper. I thought this was discount shop, it should be for the area and hassle :) after all that I just bought it anyways since I drove down there, paid for parking, etc. All in all, I will stick to Nordstroms or Bloomingdales if I am going to pay full retail prices, at least there you can smell things and people are friendly. If I want affordable I will buy online discounters like maxoroma, jomashop, foreverlux, etc. Also I question the legitimacy of their reviews. Went in while waiting to get some tailoring finished. Tried out YSL La Nuit De L'Homme since I know the fragrance and it's original, so no fakes there. Price for LN is competitive, about $5 off from department stores. Inquired on price for Prada L'Homme - a bit over priced and the assistant stated it's because it's a new scent. I know it came out in 2016, but you can get Prada L'Homme much cheaper on Groupon. Bought gift sets instead for my parents. Mont Blanc Legend and J. Lo Still at very good prices compared to department stores. I would highly recommend that section. They also carry some niche fragrances like Tom Ford, Creed, D'Hermes etc. No Le Labo though. Place was not as friendly as before new lady in there kind of rude. Wanted to help others while helping me even with other workers there. I bought 8 perfumes and only got a discount on 2 of them. Even though she said she gave me a discount on them all. When I checked my receipt I told her and she said no that it was right. That it was because I had not been in the store since last November. Even though every time I go in I spend from $250-$350 since I have 4 daughters and my wife to shop for. I should have left and not bought anything but wanted to get ahead of my shopping for the holidays I really do recommend shopping else where or on Sundays when the lady said she would not be there!
