Long story short: Apparently here at Bliss we are rationing the local anesthetic shots. Despite me telling her it hurt the best she could do was tell me it's because the infection and she won't do another shot. I literally had blood on my palms from digging my nails in my palm. that's how painful the extraction was. 27 years and never had dental pain in the chair until this doctor. Not to mention I told her which tooth needed to be pulled (the one that caused me to go there in the first place) but the Dr recommended to pull another tooth instead (???) And get this, guess how she does this? With words? With some sort of spread sheet explaining how the tooth that has no pain whatsoever is causing pain in another tooth? NOPE, how dare you expect decency. She asked me to open up my mouth and HIT the tooth with some sort of metal instrument. The one she wanted to pull and caused that teeth to now hurt as bad as the one I originally wanted to get pulled! I left with the same pain I had when I went in and out of pocket costs for the tooth she just pulled. She didn't prescribe anything for it either assuming she just got rid of the pain. Run. To not walk away from this place. I now know why people are afraid of dentists. You couldn't pay me to get work done here. The reviews saying they got a surprise charge is also correct. Despite them telling me I was covered I ended up having an overdue balance more than 90 days later from them with a threat of collections if not paid in full.

I even drove all the way to Arlington (a 35-40 minute trip) only to find out upon arrival that they did not accept my insurance. Further, they wanted to charge me $450! By late afternoon, around 4:00-4:30 PM, I came across Cure with Care at 1107 South MacArthur Blvd in Irving--and it truly felt like a lifesaver. Despite it being so late in the day, they took me in immediately. Even though my insurance was not accepted, their pricing was incredibly fair--only $146, including a consultation fee--which was far more reasonable than any other office I had contacted. Andrea at the front desk was absolutely exceptional--professional, thorough, and genuinely kind. She made a stressful situation feel manageable from the moment I walked in. Dr. Raval was equally impressive--attentive, compassionate, and highly skilled. I felt completely taken care of throughout the entire visit. What stood out most was not just their professionalism, but their willingness to help me at the last minute and treat me with such care and respect. In a situation that could have easily remained frustrating and overwhelming, they turned it into a truly positive experience. I am beyond grateful and am seriously considering making them my primary dental office moving forward. They are simply outstanding.

Dr. Clark is nice, but his skill is subpar. Go to an orthodontist for teeth straightening. They will know much better what they are doing. I wish someone had advised me that, but I went to Dr. Clark to save a few $. Never again, so not worth the pain, aggravations, and wasted time.

They took my mom back for X-rays and told us they would come get me afterward, but they forgot until my mom reminded them. Then we found out their regular X-ray machine wasn't working, so they had to take the X-rays manually while she was sitting in the dental chair. After the dentist examined my mom, she told us my mom could keep her crown and that they would remove the temporary filling and place a permanent composite filling that same day. I specifically asked if they could do it that day, and the dentist said yes. She and her assistant left, and we waited...and waited. Eventually, a technician came in to discuss antibiotics and confirmed they were still going to do the composite filling. She said she would get the dentist. We waited even longer. Then another staff member walked by and told us we were free to leave. I explained that we had been told my mom would be getting her permanent filling that day, so we continued waiting. A short time later, the office manager came in and asked if we wanted to schedule an appointment for Monday because they could not do the filling that day. I explained that the dentist had specifically told us it would be done today. The office manager responded that the dentist doesn't manage the schedule--she does--and that there was no availability. My question was simple: if that was the case, why were we told to wait? What disappointed me the most wasn't that they couldn't fit us in--it was the complete lack of communication and accountability. At no point did the office manager apologize for the confusion, the miscommunication, or for keeping us waiting. Instead, she repeatedly talked over me and simply offered us an appointment for Monday. My mom decided we'd rather go somewhere else, and the response was basically, "You have every right to." Unfortunately, this isn't our first disappointing experience with Ideal Dental. We've received different information from different locations, and I was even sold a dental plan that I haven't been able to use, which has been a waste of money. This experience only reinforced why we choose a private dental practice: clear communication, accountability, and respect for our time. We'll be going back to the dentist we've trusted for years, and I would strongly recommend choosing a private practice over Ideal Dental. Based on everything we experienced, I cannot recommend Ideal Dental, especially the Midway and Northwest Highway location.

I discovered this amazing office 3 years ago as I was blessed to find out about Lakewood for the 1st time! They make you feel like you have been a patient for a very long time. Norma was the one to seat me for my treatment and you can tell she has passion for what she does. I even had treatment in a room with a big window with a beautiful cardinal visiting and their office Mascot Minnie Pearl to greet me and say hello! I am very blessed to have a found this office that is top notch all the way around! I even had to get a shot for numbing and Dr. Slaughter's gentle touch was just what I needed for my treatment! I had an 8 am cleaning this week on one of the days we had ice but Jody was calling patients from home and getting them rescheduled; she was able to reschedule it within a few weeks.
