This place takes it name from The Mission district in San Francisco, somewhere I've eaten a few dozens burritos over the years. Mission Burrito trumps most I've tried in the UK, its UK rivals tend to be wet n sloppy, but these have punch and are packed full of freshness. There's half a dozen tables outside, window seats and more tables inside. Great for a lunch hour or if you need something 'grab-n-go'. This place has only just opened and looks spotless, the staff are super friendly and eager to help you navigate the menu options.

I went for a traditional burrito in the sense it contained the usual ingredients of a burrito and not my own unique imagining of one. I'm all for choice but i think we give people too much these days.If you give people a free choice they become fussy eaters who slow down the whole ordering process or worse vote to leave the EU. I overheard a customer ask if the Guacamole was dairy free.Needless to say it was. See what happens when you give people a choice they start asking if avocados have milk in them. I got asked some more questions and i answered yes to them all. We sat outside on the decking, it was clean and a good place to people watch. The food was tasty if a little soggy but even with dairy free guacamole it was still under a fiver,so decent value. A pleasant staff member checked part way through that everything was alright (answered yes again). TLDR : Imagine Subway for Mexicans.

The atmosphere here is as good as the food with people meeting up straight after work on Fridays and staying for most of the night. If you want a table I strongly suggest you get there early as it gets really busy almost from the time it opens! Watch the website for street closure events that take place from time to time. You will have even more choice of where you can eat and the types of food you can enjoy. The hardest part is making the decision of what to have! At around £6 a portion it's not the cheapest food you can get in Brum but the quality of what you get speaks volumes. If you haven't been here yet....why not.....do it soon :)

On a cold, sunny day at the end of the year I just couldn't make my mind up where to eat (this is quite a usual occurrence). I had a quick wander around and then settled on Habanero's Mexican Street Food van (as I hadn't eaten there in quite a while)... And I'm so glad I did. I popped down on a Monday; when they offer free nacho's and a can of pop included with any burrito purchased. I also had my ever handy "Independent Birmingham" card in my pocket, so it was a bonus 10% off my order too - making my whole meal under £5! Being quite a hardy sort when it comes to spice, I opted for a beef burrito with loads of chilli peppers and the hottest sauce available. This was cooked up for me in front of my eyes and I had ordered, paid and received my order within 5 minutes. I may have been a little bit foolhardy when it came to the full shebang... I ended up looking like a little bit of a Panda (with eyeliner spreading all around my face and tears in my eyes) by the end of my meal; lesson learned though. These guys can do spicy. The burrito was delicious. Bursting with filling, the meat was cooked to perfection and the mix of the salads and sauces left my tongue tingling for hours afterwards. The nachos are plain, but as they are salty they present the perfect accompaniment to really bring out the flavours of the food. The reviews on here are pretty mixed, but I rate it. Street food can be found in many forms in the City - but I would definitely give Habanero's a go if you haven't as yet.

A carbon copy menu that matches Nando's with their own additions of Portuguese fish dishes was a breath of fresh air. Me and my friend simply couldn't resist a jumbo platter with sweet potato fries, garlic bread and rice. The chicken was certainly very tender and wet, which gives me great first impressions of this place, seeing as I rarely get a wet chicken at Nando's anymore. The marinade however doesn't quite live up to the infamous peri peri sauce but nevertheless, the spice adds a mild kick to my liking. I wouldn't recommend the extra hot sauce as I believe it to contain far overwhelmingly vinegar than chilli, I think the ingredients may need to be tweaked for that sauce. The sides were great and delivered as expected. One very big selling point is the price and the customer service is just as good. If you still have some space in your stomach, I definitely wouldn't mind going for some of their gelato as well! Would visit again

After months and months of the place being boarded up and cleaned, it was finally revealed to be a new eatery (specialising in Portuguese food) at the end of 2014. So, as you can see from the photos, it looks pretty darn smart. Big windows, nice wooden and metal signage and clear opening hours look pretty darn inviting (especially when you consider the alternative food shops are Greggs and Dhillons fish bar next to it). Upon entering, you will notice just how clean and inviting the interior is too. On Saturday (on our return from Pirate weekend at Alton Towers) we were starving hungry. With me being on Bootcamp currently, my foodie options are limited - but I AM allowed chicken (which this place specialises in). We were greeted as we walked in and popped straight to the counter to have a look at the menu. Now, this place is essentially an independent (but much tastier, in my opinion) Nando's. You can have chicken (to a range of different heats), steaks, salads and choose from their solid selection of desserts (including Italian gelato and cake). We opted for their "Half chicken and two sides deal" to split between us. As the chicken comes in quarters, Dan went for extra hot and I went for medium. I went for a green salad as my side and Dan chose Peri-peri chips. This was all made fresh for us while we waited and had a wander around the shop. They produce their own sauces and there are options for unlimited soft drinks if you choose to sit in. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes and we eagerly took this home to eat. Our meal cost us a very fair £8.50 for everything. The chicken was really tasty (and not that hot), but I was a little disappointed that my salad came with a dressing (even though this wasn't mentioned on the menu and I wasn't asked if I wanted it). I think this would be my only complaint. Service was great, food was good and the place was clean, friendly and inviting. If I wasn't so strict with my eating options, the salad dressing wouldn't be an issue - but word to the wise, ask for your salad without if you don't like creamy sauces.
