Absolutely terrible experience. First, they had no straws. Second, I've been looking at 2 dirty tables the entire 45 minutes we've been here and they aren't even busy. Third, 25 minutes after ordering, our food comes out. Everything is cold. Our server asked if I wanted it reheated. Seriously? I had an omelet. A restaurant should never even suggest reheating eggs. The bad experience is probably because for the whole 45 minutes, I've been hearing them laughing and screwing off on the kitchen. Everyone here seriously needs to be retrained. To be honest there is absolutely NO good place to eat in worthington... but we had went to the shitty Walmart there and my husband was hungry so we went to Perkins. I had the bbq burger and my husband had the breakfast burger and neither of us enjoyed them at all. The fries were warm and not that good. The mellow yellow was AWFUL then we got a coke and that was watered down too. My husband used the bathroom and he said it was awful. We won't be going back. The wait for food was a bit long, but the wait was worth it. We had a birthday to celebrate, so we brought cake in (after calling to make sure that would be okay). The staff was very accommodating. We'll be back because our grandma loves this place and it's right off the interstate. read more

7/4/19 It was kind of nice to go back to one of our more familiar haunts. My husband just loves Perkins. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was good. I had the chicken strip sandwich, hubby had an omelet and our son had chicken strips. Everything was prepared well and came out quickly. The only bad thing was the smell of sewage when I first walked in. It's kind of a common problem with Perkins. There are a few closer to home that have the same issue. Fortunately, the smell does not carry into the dining area. read more

Amazing customer service, but that's about all that this place has to offer. The food is food but I feel I could get the same item from a gas station for significantly less and it's have more flavor than what I get here. They also have this lemon butter sauce or something on one of their pasta dishes. Just stay away from that if you do decide to eat here read more

Once our order was taken (party of four), the waitress brought our drinks in a timely manner. However, that's where it ended. We waited at least double the time it should for the order to come. Once it did my husband's meatloaf was cold on the center (& lukewarm on the surface). His potatoes looked dry and were cold with no gravy. My tilapia and shrimp arrived barely warm. The flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The other two orders were described as ok by our guests. When the issue of a cold entreé was brought to our waitresses attention (immediately) she said that the dish was brought out as soon as it was put up. I find that difficult to believe. The dish was removed from the bill but in telling the manager we were given the impression that she wouldn't take much care to it. In fact she seemed to skirt the issue instead of promising to work with the kitchen and wait staff to prevent future problems. I doubt we'll be stopping here ever again as we take our daughter to and from school. Sack lunch would be better. read more

We were in town for work and were staying in the hotel that is walking distance from this restaurant. We tried lunch with them and then breakfast. Lunch: I ordered tomato basil soup and a salad. They came separately. The salad was fresh although iceberg lettuce-based. The dressing was supposed to be blue cheese but was very thin and had very little taste. It looked oily rather than creamy. The soup arrived and was not tomato red but an odd color orange. It had a mild taste of tomato but also had other flavors that tasted nothing like basil. My husband ordered the pot roast, but when it arrived it was more peas than meat. Very bland. Breakfast: We thought that maybe lunch wasn't their forte, so we thought we would try the breakfast. I ordered two eggs over medium, hash browns, whole wheat toast, and bacon. The toast and bacon were fine. The eggs were way overcooked (the yolk was almost fully cooked) and the hash browns had no flavor; no onion, no seasoning, no salt. My husband ordered the biscuit and sausage gravy, two eggs over medium, with pancakes and bacon. Again the bacon was good. The gravy was not sausage gravy but had some chunks of something diced into it. The chunks were some sort of meat product but were not reminiscent of sausage and did not taste good. The gravy tasted like flour and water. The eggs were again overcooked and the pancakes were average. Although we will be here for another few weeks, we won't be going back to Perkins. read more

It's a chain restaurant. It's cheap. Low quality. To be expected. We had to make a stop here, but if you're on a trip and can hold out til you get to a bigger city, do. I got the French toast and had the bread plain...the fake maple syrup taste is sickening imo. Sausage links were rubbery and cold. Eggs were fine with enough pepper. Very disappointed in the changes at Perkins. We have been to Perkins several times. The menu changed (6 days ago) since the last time we visited. I had a previous review that rated them at 4-5. The new menu is not so good. No pasta items or actual steaks. Several of our favorite items are gone. Limited shrimp choices. Overall, the menu change is several steps DOWN from before. Service is still great and their bakery is still awesome. Just finished our meals. The steak medallions were tough and cooked well done (we weren't asked how we wanted to have them cooked). The sauces were designed to cover the taste of the meat. Sorry to see this tremendous drop in the food quality. read more

Not your regular Perkins!!. OMG! I ordered grilled Tilapia and it was so under-cooked, i could have gotten sick. I complained to the waiter and she brought one more order and that was completely broken in to pieces and looked like pan fry pieces of Tilapia. Manager was cross at me in the end saying I did not complain earlier enough.. I did not even eat the darn thing !. Waiters and manager are completely out of touch with customer service. I suggest the manager go and eat at a near-by Perkins to learn a little bit about. Chef, learn how to grill- Please !!, atleast for the sake of the fish !! Had the country fried steak. Also added pie and drink for 3.99. Restaurant was clean and was not busy. Was seated promptly. Order was taken quickly. Drinks were brought out very fast. The CFS, mashed potatoes and corn were good. I had no complaints and I enjoyed my meal. read more

The food and service was good. But I was so disappointed, it's Christmas Eve and I understand everyone wants to be home with their families. The sign on the door said closing at 3pm. At 2:45pm the turned away: one older man, a family of 5, and and older couple.they locked the door at 2:45pm. If the sign says 3pm, that does should be unlocked until 3pm. I've worked in food service before and if u tell then when they come inside you close at 3, it should be their choice to stay or go. Walked in and got sat by a wonderful lady. To bad our waitress terrible. She got our drinks(really bad water, takes like chlorine, as well as rotten lemons) and asked for our order right away without saying anything else. Brought our food which was also horrible. Do you like a good breakfast? Do you like quality service? Hey, me too! I just ate at Perkins in Worthington and found neither of these! Yeah, my girlfriend's bacon was as dark as a black crayon and her hashbrowns were overdone too. My sister-in-law's entre was swimming in sauce. In fact, my niece starting eating paper rather than the rest of her food. Cold breakfast isn't cool. If you want a meal from this Perkins but don't wanna pay $40 for 3 people, go to McDonalds. Waitress was nice enough. Good not good though. Served obviously burnt pancakes. Another order that was supposed to be covered in gravy only had 1/2 cup of gravy. That dish was terribly dry and inedible. We're not complainers but these defects were very obvious. read more

I don't know why people love Perkins. Their prices are outrageous, their service slow, and the food is mediocre.
