The people were SO nice but the service was REALLY SLOW. I think they were backed up so it's not all on them, maybe they were short-handed, but it took nearly an hour to get a wrap, coffee, and a burrito or something like that, and while the price was low, they were quite small. The ambience was really nice, like being back and mom's house. I did really like that. And again, the staff were very very nice. read more

We've lived in Monroe for almost 2 years, and I've passed by this place again and again, unimpressed with the way it looks from outside. But after having seen a few positive reviews, my wife and I finally stopped in for lunch today. Was immediately impressed with the look of the place inside: charming, pleasant, clean. But even more impressed with the food. I had a chicken wrap with peach salsa and my wife had a ham sandwich on focaccia. Both of them were excellent. Perks Coffee Café immediately jumped to the top of our list as one of our favorite restaurants in town. read more

Perks is a hidden gem in Monroe! I got an iced americano with oat milk and it was divine, plus the turkey cranberry sandwich was so flavorful and fresh! The girl who took my order was extremely sweet and carried my coffee out to me, and I could tell whoever the chef is made my sandwich with love. I'm visiting from CA and will definitely make this stop if I'm ever in the area again and need something fresh and delicious! read more

The service was slow. We had one hour for lunch. We needed them to repackage food in to go containers, and that took another 9 minutes. We were charged more than what was posted on the board or menu because they were "in the process of changing prices" - best practice is change prices on printed material before you change prices in the register. read more

I go to Perks whenever I am driving through Monroe or there for work. I have never had anything bad at Perms. I love their salads and sandwiches. They are the only coffee shop that I have seen have a green monster smoothie, and it's awesome. The staff is very friendly also. Great place! read more

The sandwiches are at times very good, but, in general, Perks is inconsistent. - They are not good with keeping the coffee urns filled and fresh. - The kitchen is small and they want to do a lot of catering business. If you have your order in and there is a catering order, you're going to wait. - Today was the third or fourth time that the owner, who insists on working in the kitchen, forgot a critical ingredient on the sandwich. In this case, it was the peanut sauce on a peanut chicken wrap. Kind of crucial, right? My wrap was done, and my wife's was near done. She brought out a small container of peanut sauce, where new wraps would have absolutely been the right move - we have been very consistent customers. - Over time, the portion sizes have become smaller and smaller, and the filler (such as cabbage) has become more abundant. We will go to Burger King instead, and encourage the same for family members. We know what we get there. read more
