Parking lot was packed (its a small lot), but they had a table for us anyway. Service was good, prices made me question it a little as they are on the higher side. I ordered their Italian Beef with hot giardiniera and it was probably the best sandwich I've had in my entire life, literally. It has a good amount of meat, the cheese melted perfectly and the peppers mixed properly. They must marinate the beef because it had so much flavor. The Mother's Day Brunch was a huge disappointment. This was the first and and most certainly the last visit - never again. I'm sorry this review is not kinder. This was Mother's Day, yet the atmosphere was like dining in a loud school cafeteria during a food fight - this is telling about the food! It started with the hostess abandoning us to a back dining room that was clearly meant for small "private" parties - too many tables of parties of 6-12, luckily we were close to the exit door. We sat for 16 minutes with no menus, no water, and no waitress until my daughter hunted one down. The food, well I call foul on claiming it as authentic Italian. The lasagna with meat was drowning in a cold sweet Ragu-from-a-jar like tomato sauce, the lasagna pasta was mushy, thin and tasteless. My mother ordered the Six (6) jumbo shrimp parmigiana on spaghetti, the shrimp was the size of a nickel and soaking in the same cold ketchup-flavored red tomato sauce. My daughter ordered the turkey wrap, the turkey was a thin pressed bland lunch meat, yuck. If you must, stick to ordering pizza and don't be fooled by the photo gallery. read more

My husband wanted me to tag along on a work trip, and Vince's sounded like a good place to include in the local eats list. I am glad we gave them a whirl. We just ordered a pizza to go, but it was excellent. It was the perfect amount of everything. Even the parmesan and red pepper flakes were super fresh. A regular here, my wife and I prefer this establishment over all others when it comes to Italian food. You know your going to enjoy the experience the minute you exit your car in the parking lot and can smell the divine deliciousness. Always greeted at the door with a welcoming smile, you will find the owners intimate with the operations and make you feel at home. Extremely large portions are part of their pride, as the meals often are big enough to "take care of you twice". Owners takes extreme pride in preparing items fresh each day - sauce, vegetables , sausage, the list goes on. Service here is excellent. You are treated like family and that is something a lot of places miss nowadays. Uncle Tony's pizza is my preference for pizza and the numerous pastas never disappoint. Again.... Large portions make this a great value. I've known the owner since he started back in the 90's making pizzas in a small hole in the wall .... Pizza hut can't compete. Good quality and nice size servings. The only place I've been that gave me a cup of Alfredo in case I wanted more sauce.

Our experience here was not good and we probably won't return. First off, we ordered a panini & the restaurant website shows a traditional panini (made with a panini press). We have had this sandwich in the past & it was made with a press.. We got a regular sandwich not pressed like the pics show. When asked about it they said their panini press broke a while ago & they had not replaced it & hadn't updated their website for a while (you know the picture next to the sandwich name & description). When my husband went in to pick up the food the staff member went to the back to get our food & didn't return until 5 minutes later with no explanation ( like: the food wasn't ready, I was busy chatting it up with someone,, hey I had to run over to dollar general, etc.). The website told us it would be 40 minutes till pickup & we were a little late (5 minutes) & we waited for another 5 minutes. When we got to the car we checked our order & were missing an entree.The worst part was as my husband was waiting he overheard them talking on the phone and they had to credit another customer for missing food. Wow!! Just wow!! When I called to complain the management staff told me they had new staff. If I could give negative stars I would have, which really sucked as the food was good. Would have liked my money back for the panini but that didn't happen, so they must not want returning customers. read more

If you find yourself visiting Monroe then chances are you'll be staying at the AmericaInn hotel and will be craving Italian food at least for one meal. Vince's restaurant is in a great location and offers pretty good food. On our recent trip we had to shift plans around and ended up needing somewhere to eat lunch. We saw that Vince's had a wide variety of dishes aside from your usual pizza and pasta, not to mention they were not a fast food place unlike the other 10 down the road. Hot sandwiches felt like a good idea so my girlfriend got the veggie basil pesto panini while I ordered the chicken fresco one. I was in heaven when I was eating it. Great grilled chicken with mozzarella and bacon that's just completely smothered in alfredo sauce. I did the best that I could but I had a small piece for leftovers. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We arrived right as they opened so I understand them getting the restaurant ready. But when it came time to pay we waited a while at the register for someone to come by. We had a great lunch for an awesome price and eagerly looking forward to trying their pizza and other dishes the next time we're back in the area. read more

Great service. Better Food. Vince's Pizza probably the best pizza in Green County. The owner, Fabio, is there every day. The lasagna is also amazing. The only negative is when ordering carry out, their side salad is not much more than maybe 2 forkfuls. Prices are lower than what you would expect to pay for the proportions. Located 1/2 block north of Piggly Wiggly with easy access to the 11/81 highway. This is one restaurant you must visit for some GREAT Italian Cuisine. read more

We were here about 5 years ago when we stayed at AmericInn for hockey. My husband had this pasta dish that he loved, and the service was pretty good. Today we found ourselves back in Monroe for hockey, and the husband was excited to be able to come back to Vince's. We would definitely recommend this place! The service was excellent, and so was the food. It may seem a bit pricey, especially for lunch, but the quality of the food and the portions are worth it. The potato bacon soup is wow! I had the veggie basil panini, and the hubby had his chicken, mushroom, broccoli pasta bake. Everything was so wonderful! My sister just moved to Monroe about a month ago. We now visit on a regular basis. Amazing pizza and the spaghetti pie is amazing! You get charged to split so just leave that out when you order. Also we get one waitress who never asks if we want to add cheese and croutons to our salad. Always do that. It is so much better that way. read more

I'm a fan, for sure. My sister and I visit this restaurant once a month as a lunch outing. We've never had a bad meal and the staff are quite nice. Try the spinach/artichoke dip. Believe me, you will be thanking me over and over again. One of the nice perks about Vince's is that they don't get fussy about my sister and I sometimes splitting a dish. They give you plenty size portions for being split and we also split a salad, which is also still a good size each. How can you complain about that?! The prices are decent and the setting is laid back. Drawbacks? Only one. The appetizer prices are a bit high for the area. Monroe is not a big city or a big town...the prices should reflect that. Otherwise, Vince's, keep doing what you are doing...we love ya! And I really love the music channel you've picked for our listening pleasure. We were looking for a place between hockey games in Monroe, WI and my wife set up a nice lunch for the team and families at Vince's. Giacomo (SP?) was so helpful in accommodating a large group (30 people). Background: I grew up in New Jersey surrounded by some of the best Italian in the world outside of Italy, so when I eat Italian, I have very high expectations. Despite the large party the service was outstanding, the atmosphere was pleasant, and most importantly, the food was top notch. I am not one to order off menu, but I was in the mood for chicken parmigiana, and didn't want a complete meal. Giacomo (and the kitchen, of course) accommodated my request of a chicken parmigiana sandwich. The cutlet was nicely breaded and perfectly charred with a very robust marinara and wonderful Wisconsin cheese. I am honest when I say it is the best chicken cutlet parm I've had since I left home. Absolute perfection. Though I was throughly focused on my sandwich, I couldn't help but to notice the choices of those around me. The pizzas looked wonderful with hand tossed crusts and fresh toppings. The fish (both fried and baked) looked great. And the gluten free folks in our party gave very positive reviews. High marks from all! There is a passion for food here. There is pride of service here. It's a place for which I will make excuses to get to Monroe, Wi. The Pizza is great. It has a middle of the road crust, not too thick, not too thin. I had Italian beef with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. Great taste on the Italian beef. My wife had the Italian sausage with mostaccioli and said it was very good. The Tiramisu was great and the coffee flavor wasn't overpowering, which is nice. I like to have it there, but not overpowering. My wife said the Cannoli was great as well. read more

I'm new to the area and thought I'd finally finally try the only Italian place in town. The wait staff was nice and the place was clean. The garlic bread was Texas toast. (Frozen and available at well every grocery store) the salad was 95% iceberg lettuce and a thin slice of tomato with a few croutons. My son and I ordered a pasta dish each. Our group stopped in on Saturday for dinner as our friends had the pizza before and really liked it. It's a nice little place, clean, friendly. Service was good. Prices were very economical. And we got to watch the Cubs beat the Cardinals on the TV so it's all good! I do love Italian food! We ordered the combo lasagna and a chicken artichoke linguini dish. The portions were plentiful. The dishes needed more flavor, even just salt. It was like the linguini wasn't cooked with salt in the water or maybe not enough. The chicken in the dish was great. I expected a bit more artichoke in the flavor. The red pepper cream sauce also could benefit from more peppers in it to boost the flavor. There are only two kinds of lasagna--good and better! The combo was offered with two sauces, red and Alfredo. It would have been much better to actual serve the two sauces individually each over half the lasagna versus blending them into a single oddly orange sauce. Overall, it was an ok. Yes the bread was just TX toast, but it was butter-drenched. Yum! And the little salad was fresh. If we try again, we may just do the pizza. read more
