This made things very easy for me and my siblings. My dad passed at home but my mother passed out of state. We really did not know what to do with the passing out of state. I made the call to Ann thinking this was not going to be an easy thing to handle, but let me tell you, she took care of everything!! She walked us through the process, called us and took care of not only my mom but us. No matter how many calls I made, Ann always took her time and responded promptly. Both Sean and Shea helped us in the first difficult days after the death, as we formed a decision to have a memorial service several months later. When we changed some of the preplanned arrangements, Burket-Truby kept up and gave us excellent advice. We ended up with a fairly complex plan for a memorial service, and Burket-Truby handled their part promptly and beautifully. They checked in on us at the perfect times, asking if we needed coffee or water. They greeted all of our family and gave their condolences. There was an issue back home in CA with her death certificate (nothing to do with Alfieri, it was her doctors), and she almost did not make it back to PA, her final resting place. Events must be conveyed to bereaved individuals in a thorough and specific manner. This led to much confusion and stress for me. My husband had a grey/black mustache which became a black smudge for his viewing. I could understand if there was an accident but just be honest. Slater's as whole was good BUT the Funeral Director needs to find another career choice. We had him cremated so we could bring him back home to Denver but I wanted to say goodbye first. Michael's warm, caring, loving energy made us feel so comfortable in doing so. He went above and beyond to make sure everything worked out. We only payed 1700.00 dollars with I believe 12 death certificates, viewing and cremation. The other place we called wanted almost 4,000 dollars without death certificates. At one of your most valuable and hardest times in life, trying to make decisions out of the blue with no clue is difficult. Michael made it so simple and just purely beautiful for my last viewing of my dad. I'm truly grateful we were led to him and this funeral service.
