Update: 9 months, an emergency removal, 2 additional saline removal procedures and over $400 later, the botched ink is still showing no matter how many facials and much retinol and vitamin c serums I try. Now having the powder brows I actually wanted in the first place, see it's a completely different process and wish Missy and/or Courtney would have admitted they didn't know or did simply did not do powder brows. Courtney called it microblading and IT IS NOT THE SAME!! I didn't know!! She didn't explain. I'm honestly still devastated looking at my face having a third eyebrow sitting on my real one. The classes move fast as there is a lot of information to cover, but that being said Missy was particularly thorough with her training and also helped us with our preparation for obtaining inspection and licensing through the county following the certification classes. I had upper & lower eyeliner done. It was a great experience. She was informative and gentle (...as gentle as one can be with a needle near your eye!) The cool pads she placed on my eye after every pass felt very relieving! I am also very thankful for the numbing gel she used in-between each application! Although this was just my first visit, I will try to update after my next 2 touch-up visits as well. My first tattoo experience ever and it was excellent! I thought I would NEVER get a tattoo. I am not into pain LOL. And you would think that your eyes would be really sensitive! But this felt mostly just like a lot of rubbing and the after care was really easy. Missy is such a professional and very quick and very particular which I appreciate with such a delicate task!! She tells you what to expect at every moment. You must be able to hold still - that is key! She listened to what I wanted and kept a nice fine line because I rarely wear make up. I just wanted a natural look. But she was right when she said "No one ever has a problem with going thicker"! After much thought, both my mother and I decided to get our eyebrows done together. (She talked me into it) After reading several reviews I decided to go to Missy and put my trust in her. Best decision I have ever made. She took our sparse uneven Brows and made them absolutely "Gorgeous". The color was spot on and the shape was flawless. It has made getting ready in the morning a breeze​​ since it can take up to 20 minutes to draw them in. As far as my 72-year-old​ mother goes? Missy is beyond amazing. I've had permanent cosmetics done before, and she is above and beyond...client comfort level is a top priority, and she'll talk you through each procedure as she's doing it. I had my lipcolor touched up shortly after moving to the area, and the pigments she uses heal true to the colors she mixes. (my first experience had been that the color was around 3 shades lighter when healed - not this time! :) ) What turned out to be an unexpectedly easy experience was when I returned to get my eyeliner done. Full disclosure - years ago I had attempted to get it done and it was a terrible experience. I went in with a preconceived notion of what it would be...and it was not that! She applies and reapplies the numbing agent throughout, and tells you what's happening the whole time. There was no pain...at all. It gun crossing my lids to deposit pigment was no worse than using a pencil eyeliner...actually, even less so. I appreciate the fact that it's done in sessions, too, so that it minimizes the stress to your lids (or lips!). I'm going for a thicker liner on the top, and this first go-round is the thin liner on both upper and lower, with the upper line getting thicker in the follow-up appointment. This means that my first appointment was fairly quick, and swelling was minimal with no bruising! (I was surprised! The first time I'd had it done - while living close to the South Bay - I came out of the ordeal with two black eyes...:X) I'm looking forward to going back in a month to getting the liner filled out! I have two young children, work full-time, and take classes; permanent cosmetics has made my mornings so much easier! I feel like I'm always 'put-together' if guests stop by or we decide to go out to eat and I only have time to grab my powder and some lip gloss. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you've been considering permanent cosmetics but are put off by the 'tattoo' aspect/description - don't be! It's nothing like that. If you're someone who prefers to wear makeup on a daily basis, this not only cuts down on your time to get ready in the morning, but not having to reapply when your lipstick wears off, and completely avoids runny eyeliner on a hot (or rainy) day! read more

I saw Missy for eyeliner last month. I had gotten permanent eyeliner about 10 years ago, and it had faded mostly away... so wanted a re-do. Well... Missy was a hugely different story from the time I did them before! (I will say, last time, i did them in San Francisco in Chinatown.... they did a nice job on the eyeliner, but it was like "sit down, open your eyes, don't move.... owwww owwww... ok, done!) When I saw Missy, we discussed what I wanted for a while. (I wanted a very very thin eyeliner line ) She had me get comfortable on a massage table. She numbed my lids with a topical... then put ice on them. As she worked, she kept switching eye-to-eye and putting cold on the opposite eye. She really took her time, and had me check on the progress with a mirror.. She let me know what she was doing as she went. The pain was SO much less than my prior experience! I returned 4 weeks later and she felt the color should be darker, so she worked to that end. It came out really great... the lines are really precise and i think that she finessed the ends of the lines much much better than my prior time. She really seems to understand exactly which kind of line shape will work best. I LOVE my new eyeliner! If I had to pick one thing to improve.. I think that her wiping of the eye as she goes is just a bit rough. Other than that, the entire experience was relaxing and easy... and the outcome was wonderful.
