As I said, I have been going to Ani for brow shaping and event makeup for years, she did my makeup for my engagement photos and my wedding. Ani's team took such good care of my bridal party, they all looked like they were going to a red carpet event. Now that she has gone out on her own it is on a whole new level. The salon is gorgeous, it would fit in with any salon here in NYC. I have gone to both Ashely and Briana for brows and makeup as well and as they have been trained by Ani and they are just as fabulous too. In her new salon, Ani has just introduced spray tanning and skin care services to her menu. With this long and cold winter my skin had been looking drab and dull and I thought for a facial and peel for $150 I can't loose. My peel was scheduled with Briana and all I have to say is WOW! The facial included an apple stem peel with 2 masks and serums. During the peel I listened to relaxing music and received a killer hand massage. I have had several chemical peels in my day, I guess you could say I am a bit of a connoisseur. This peel is on the lighter side and I have not experienced any peeling, so there is not 1 minute of downtime. No downtime - all results! Being in town from NYC I met with 2 friends for dinner right after my peel. They were raving about how soft my skin felt and how much my skin was glowing. The next day I had brunch with another friend and my skin looked so good I only put concealer on under my eyes and some mascara, my skin was on full display! I had 3 women ask me what foundation I was wearing throughout the day. If that isn't the best compliment, I don't know what is. The room she was working in was dirty. Hair all over the floor(yes, understanding it IS a wax place but you could sweep before the next customer), dirty counters where she was working with the wax, looked unprofessional. She rushed the wax. My skin teared. My skin was more irritated than it had ever been in previous wax sessions there. She didn't let the wax sit, she was trying to rip it off while it was still very wet on my hair which made the process feel rushed. She went over and over the same spots more than three or four times which caused my skin to tear and I have multiple cuts and chaffing in the area I was waxed. I had a Brazilian done. I'm very uncomfortable and I'm in pain. Aside from the wax; when checking out- I had a wax package through European wax which apparently was "canceled" when I signed up for it over the summer and no one cared to inform me that it had been canceled. No email, no phone call, nothing. So when I arrived I thought it would have been taken care of come check out. So I had to start that process all over again and pay the 105$.
