The odd thing is that it is just a notebook and the student employees just ask you did you do all the other courses before attempt the most advanced course. It's pretty loosey goosey, instead of this system a stamp system should be used or a passport system because if they are using this for liability is a signature request under duress (is what I understand from my legal eagle knowledge). Considering the risk, I would say more needs to be done. The whole course are supervised and the summer hired students are trained to radio each other when a new person is going on the course. The two customer limit on platform are loosely reinforced. I did find that some of the platforms were short on the landing for the mini zipline sections. And on the course the student hires warned us it's slippery because it was wet. Perhaps add some slip grips just because you're flying in at high speed into the landing in some cases (especially when you're pretty large). Good things is that if you wanted the zipline experience you get it through the whole course. You can get away with just paying for the whole course. If you're a parent you may want to go in and just have a look how things are run before putting your kids through the track for the peace of mind. The other thing is that you also want to have a telephoto lens on your slr if you're watching from the ground or hookup your child with a go pro for the fun of watching later. Overall difficulty was intermediate. I think to level up try the course without holding on anything. This was my first time doing this. I would have preferred more physical challenges on the course. There are washrooms behind the sign in cabin. Two toilets in the female. But if you want cleaner go back to the resort. So I rated this four star for the following reason. 1. Price point is steep on a single visit, even with coupons. Season pass may be better; 2. The course liability on-site could be better, I just wonder what happened if there was an accident and if the location did enough to protect customers; 3. The course is full of student employees, surely trained well. But considering young kids on the course a few adult staff would make it feel safer. There were times when I know none if the staff we watching me because I was sloppy on the security straps-without realizing until my date warned me (thanks); 4. Washrooms are not clean on the premise of the trekking. Go to horseshoe resort.

Snow tubing review…read more Great price, it's $25 for two hours of fun which is more reasonable than lakeridge being $40. Both places have 4 tubing lanes that seem roughly same height. This place has smaller tubes for minimum height of 40 inches while Lakeridge is minimum 42 inches and only one size. So this is a friendlier place for little ones starting their tubing experience, as they need to be able to reach the grip. We love going as a group of tubes, lots of fun spinning down the slope. Only down side here is there is only one lift for all users. So the lift gets shared with tubers, skiers, and snowboarders. It's a standing carpet that seems to get stuck often. Approximately 3-4 rides per hour, due to crowds or stalling of lift, and it wasn't that busy on our visit. Staff here are all friendly, free parking. Easy booking online for slotted time, check in outside the building for passes. Washrooms are small but clean. Lots of indoor cafeteria seating. Small outdoor seating by wood burning fire pit. Small cafeteria, Dina's which serves decent burgers, poutines and simple snacks. The prices are reasonable, it's just really slow service. Waited 12 mins for poutine ($8) and it wasn't busy. Tip: There is a free sledding hill but you need to bring your own sled and walk up the hill. For reference, this hill is a good training hill for those new to ski/snowboard. Pretty narrow and short but great to learn from. It wasn't busy when we were there so that helps learners. Jump ramps were highlighted in blue on the snow.

Small, but a good place to spend afternoon with family or group.

My friends and I wanted to try a new activity in the area. We heard of this new place opening up…read moreand decided to check it out. This is called bouldering, so rock climbing without a harness. The harness is available for people who want it (young and old), however you are only able to do some obstacles, as the harnesses can't be on all the walls. This is a completely new facility. You have to sign a waiver when you first climb here. This was my first experience with climbing and I do not have very good upper body strength, however this shouldn't stop you!!! The walls are labeled with levels of difficulty, and you work your way up gradually based on your comfort level. There are shoes available for rent here, as well as locker, and chalk. There is plenty of room to store your personal belongings on shelves. You can also bring your own lock so that you do not have to rent a lock. You are given a quick tour on your first day and also shown how to fall safely. There are thick mats under all the walls, however it is important to follow the falling instructions to prevent injury. As a first time climber, I was nervous at first (because heights aren't my thing) but after a few easy climbs, I really got into it. Expect to be very sore the next day if this is your first time! You will be using muscles you have never used before. I saw people of all ages and skill level. There were even children as young as 7 years of age. There are definitely more challenging walls that even expert climbers will find difficult. I really enjoyed this experience and can't wait to return! Get out there and climb! :)
