The good news about this move is that the new location has on-site parking. HUGE bonus for any restaurant near/around State Street. Can't emphasize this enough, the convenience is worth one additional star on its own. The new establishment is VERY different from what you may be used to if you are familiar with De Legna's original spot. Personally I much preferred the original location setup because the vibe was much more comfortable and welcoming. The new interior is a trendier (for better or worse) and the seating is a combination of traditional tables, round booths/tables, bar seating, and even 2nd floor seating that appears to be more geared towards a bottle-service type setup. Most importantly, the pizza is still great (the same as it has always been from what I can tell). Our waitress was fantastic and accommodating. It's clear that the restaurant is still getting used to the inevitable adjustment that comes with moving an established pizzeria down the street into a new building that had an identity of its own. They've got a bit more work to do to make it cohesive, but I'm excited to see the evolution of the journey. Needless to say, I'll be back to chow down on my favorite New Haven pizza.
