Great old time market. The deli and meat selection is very good. Wide selection of food and wine for a small grocer.

Rude staff, limited items, and extremely expensive, not worth the energy.

I love Perry's. Prices are reasonable and the selection is great for a neighborhood store. Meat is awesome.

Trader Joe's has a massive fan following I believe, for a very good reason. Their food is fresh…read more Their choices are varied. They have many organic foods. They have a wide wide array of frozen and prepared foods. They have ready to eat foods like salad, salads, and entrées, sandwiches, burritos, and more. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. The prices are good, not too high. Some of their foods may be slightly higher than a traditional grocery store, but the quality is far superior I believe. The downside with Trader Joe's is that it is always crowded in the spaces seem to be smaller than some of the other grocery store establishments. I actually enjoy shopping at Trader Joe's because I feel as though I'm getting really nutritious options and a wide array of them. Among the foods that I would recommend there are their ready-made salads because we don't often have time to make our meals the next day for when we go to work. They also have a variety of frozen soups, which are terrific. They have organic tomato roasted red pepper soup, lobster bisque, (my daughter's favorite), tomato feta (one of my favorites), and lemonade chicken orzo! This last soup is my all-time favorite from Trader Joe's. Check out Trader Joe's! We especially like the one that's in Hanover, Massachusetts.

I had the chance to stop by their Strawberry Festival last month and it was an enjoyable event…read more Unfortunately given the 1 lane road either way they caused their own traffic jam in/out and ran out of parking in the main lot. My friend and I wound up in the overflow a little after 11am when the event started. I've always seen signs around when I'm driving in the area for other events or goods that they are selling. In the fall they seem especially popular as well for pumpkins and fall activities. The market area is brightly lit. Given the neighborhood, as everyone else has commented expect prices to be at a premium. The samples we tried at the Strawberry Festival were tasty. My favorite was the short cake. They also offered tickets at $1/ticket for some other paid offerings such as their ice cream which I skipped. They had someone dressed up as the Green Monster so that was a fun photo op for the family too. The event had a lot of staff so each station was moving. In fact one of the owners/managers came by seeing a long queue near the entrance by the pasta said we could walk around to the other stations since no one should be waiting in a line (ignore the line to park and get in haha.) I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit but it's an option for local. I've also gone to Wagon Wheel which is smaller for seasonal / market type items.

There are several reasons to shop at this always very crowded grocery store on Cape Cod…read more One, the prices. They cannot be beat anywhere. Market Basket provides value compared to the other large grocery chains. This not only includes private label products but also branded products. I could easily put a list together on items that are much cheaper here than Stop & Shop. Example: a popular brand of soup. 2 cans for $5 at Market Basket. One (1), can of same exact soup is $4.79 at Stop & Shop...what???? Two, the service. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Also, they always have a decent amount of checkout cashiers, so even on the busy days, the lines are not too bad. Three, the cafe. The cafe has very good takeout food and offers an excellent variety. The pizza is solid. I hear people raving about the steak bombs, but I have not tried one yet. Four, the location. This location is just past the Sagamore bridge as you head east over the canal. It's easy to get to and then get back on the mid-cape highway. The only real negative is that it is generally pretty crowded (for the reasons I mentioned above, I am sure). The store aisles are a bit tight, so it can get pretty hectic in there. However, the pros far outweigh this one con.
