Devan is a wonderful jeweler. I saw him two years ago to see if he could enlarge my wedding ring set because it was too tight. At the time, I was trying to lose weight and he recommended that I wait, especially because it was winter. So, left and I thought, what a great jeweler to try and help me. He could have just done it for me. Now, two years later, not having lost the weight and I went back to see if he could resize them now. I know it is very hard to size up and he told me from the get go, it might be too hard to do. I appreciate an honest business person so much. Today I went to pick up my rings and oh my gosh, they were incredible!! Correct size and just gorgeous from the cleaning too. They were perfect. I highly recommend him for any of your jewelry needs. I would be very wary of using this jeweler. He lost a pearl from my necklace, then claimed dyslexia, saying he wrote the incorrect number. Problem was, I counted the pearls also, and when I mentioned that he said did I have it in writing that I counted the pearls....I said only his word but he said I needed it in writing. (He changed my receipt and wrote over 63 and wrote 62) He replaced my 14k gold broken clasp (which he tried to keep) with a metal one covered in gold, which I would have never agreed to because it turns my skin green. He got very frustrated and said he would need to restring the pearls again if he put on a gold clasp (which is all I ever asked for.) Then he finally agreed to $5 discount for losing my pearl but instead added $5 to my receipt. He finally went to a calculator and realized a $5 discount changed the cost from $215 to $210, not $210 to $220 as he was claiming. He was very rude and accusatory and actually reached into my purse at one point to retrieve my pearl necklace when his anger rose. It was a very scary situation dealing with him and I just say....be very wary. read more
