It is located right next door to Kim's Mart and is accessible via a flight of stairs leading upwards. They carry all sorts of Japanese goods. I picked up a few bottles of pink coloured Sakura cola there, and some prepackaged seasoned kelp which I like using at home to make onigiri. Usually I do it all from scratch using dried up sheets of Dashi Kombu. The prepackaged ones will save me a lot of work the next time I want to make them! We also found many items that were expired or close to their expiration date. There were huge discounts on these items. (eg. boxes of powdered drink mixes) We're fine buying these kinds of products as the "Best Before" dates don't necessarily mean "No Good after..." to us! I appreciate that this store openly admits that these products have expired or are near their expiration date. Gotta love the honesty! Quite heartbroken to learn that this place has been put on the market and may be gone soon. Boo hoo! We only just discovered this hidden gem. If this place does go, hope that we can squeeze in a few more visits before it's gone!

Ambiance is bright and spacious but its service is mediocre. So my favorite T&T locations have super dedicated managers and very helpful staff that are willing to go the extra mile even when busy. This spot is not my least favorite location and there are some helpful senior staff but they also have some staff here that would actually answer your questions with "I don't know" or "dunno, hmm, can you ask the other staff..." as if that's an acceptable service expectation at T&T...Tina would not be pleased. Food-wise, their sushi section is usually well stocked and their uni sashimi is quite fresh when they do carry uni. Though i should note that their uni sashimi are priced higher than Sungiven. The dessert and pastries section here are decent where you can find a whole cake for special occasions and pretty looking desserts and their hot foods section could consider adding more variety to its menu. Regardless of its store name, it is a solid supermarket, well stocked with Asian products including quality T&T branded snacks, korean beauty brands plus fresh fruits and plenty of food varieties.

They have some drinks that are 20% for this month so with it being a hot, sunny day I picked up one of those drinks to bring home. This time I also picked up something else that wasn't a Sun Tea bubble tea drink. I bought a small box with a tiramisu cake inside. In typical Asian fashion, it was "not too sweet." Still sweet enough though to be enjoyable and met with our teenage daughter's approval. They have some lovely looking cakes that you can pre-order. I like that there's a huge poster here, advertising the cakes with their sizes and prices. I don't see that at the bakery sections of other Asian supermarkets, so if I were to order a cake from an Asian supermarket, I'd probably be most inclined to order it from Sungiven Foods. They do actually sell some nice things at this supermarket besides Bubble tea and sweets that I'd consider buying. This place is just a bit out of the way for us, and I think by the time we get here, we've often already bought what we need from other places. I do have my eye on their Onigiri though. I would definitely like to try that sometime. I saw a good sale on avocadoes here but like I said, we have often managed to buy what we need already and that is the case with the avocadoes right now, as we've already got several avocadoes in our fridge at home. One thing I do like about Sungiven Foods is that they have a good selection of frozen vegetarian dim sum items that other places don't usually have. When we've cleared up some room in the freezer at home, perhaps I will buy some frozen foods from Sungiven Foods to put into our freezer!

They have a large parking lot with tons of parking. In addition there is some side street parking but I don't think that would be necessary. The store has a large selection of ethnic produce. I was able to find shisito peppers which are very difficult to find in grocery stores in the neighbourhood. Also, the pricing on majority of the produce was fairly affordable. The zucchini's were .69/lb whereas Save On Foods sells them for $1.99/lb. You can also find specialty meats, a hot bar (with buns, noodles, soups, etc.), a dessert case, cleaning and baby items. The only part of my experience here was the slow checkout/cashiers. But, since this was opening day it looks like they were just trying to figure it all out as they were giving away free gifts with purchase.

Even if you mention it to the cashiers they don't care and won't honour the price that was shown to the public. And looking at other reviews on google, this doesn't seem to be the first time. Imagine the shock if I didn't check the price and got home to an unexpected price tag. Even though extremely confusing, neither of the price tags shown were accurate for the item. The cashier didn't even apologize for the inaccurate pricing, honour it, or seem to change the price tag. It might be still cheap, but I hate being lied to, so I didn't buy it. Not coming back again! The onigiri they sell comes from Zenya which is in the food court at International Village. We got Tuna Mayo, Spicy Tuna Mayo and Salmon Mayo. Wasn't too impressed with the Salmon Mayo as it was mostly rice with barely any salmon filling. The Tuna ones were good though. Quite reasonably priced onigiri. It really is better though when you order it at Zenya as they make it fresh for you. This place is a Korean Market. There's another, slightly smaller Kim's Mart in South Burnaby. It's a good place to pick up Korean groceries. Ironically though, I have so far only bought onigiri and seaweed for making onigiri from Kim's Mart, and Onigiri is really more of a Japanese thing than a Korean thing. Ummm...we did buy some Aloe Vera juice from Kim's Mart a couple of times. I guess that's more Korean than Japanese! Anyways, good selection of Korean stuff even if we haven't actually bought much of it ourselves!

This place is right on Robson street so a great place to grab a snack, drink, pick me up while shopping. Prices seemed reasonable. The atmosphere reflects its reputation as a go-to spot for authentic Italian ingredients, and the staff maintain an efficient workflow despite the crowds, especially during busy times like holiday weekends. Service Quality The ordering process for the Meat and Cheese Antipasto Platter was smooth and professional, though slightly more involved than standard takeout. Calling the deli to place your order and then prepaying via a follow-up phone call ensures accuracy and convenience. On the pick up day, go to the side of the deli counter and get the attention of a deli employee. He/She will get your order in the back, letting you skip the main deli line. Staff were efficient and helpful throughout, making the experience seamless. Menu Variety The antipasto platter was thoughtfully curated, featuring a range of premium meats, cheeses, and accompaniments. The inclusion of mortadella, Genoa salami, and prosciutto alongside cheddar and provolone cheeses showcased a balance of classic Italian flavors. Additions like roasted red peppers, artichokes, and olives complemented the platter beautifully, creating a well-rounded offering for a group gathering. Food Presentation The platter was professionally assembled and ready to serve straight out of the box, which was a major convenience. The arrangement was appealing, with neatly layered meats, cheeses, and colorful accompaniments that added visual interest. It was an impressive centerpiece for any table. Food Taste and Quality Every component of the platter was fresh and flavorful, with the meats and cheeses maintaining their integrity and texture. The salty, savory notes of the prosciutto and Genoa salami paired perfectly with the creamy provolone and sharp cheddar. The roasted red peppers and artichokes added a burst of tangy richness, while the olives provided a briny kick that rounded out the platter. The quality of ingredients was evident in every bite. Portion Sizes The platter for 10 people was generous, providing plenty of food to go around and even leaving a bit for leftovers. It's an excellent choice for entertaining, offering both quantity and quality without requiring additional preparation. Price and Value At $59 plus tax, the platter is a great value for the convenience and quality it provides. While you could assemble these items yourself for a comparable cost, the time and effort saved make this platter well worth the price, especially for holiday gatherings or special occasions. Overall Experience and Recommendation Bosa Foods' Meat and Cheese Antipasto Platter is a standout option for entertaining. From the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the thoughtful presentation and efficient service, it's a reliable choice for anyone looking to impress guests without the hassle of assembly. Whether for Thanksgiving, a casual get-together, or any other event, this platter is a no-brainer.
