They have convenient hours - open until 7 Mondays and Tuesdays, and open until 5:30 Wednesdays and Thursdays (closed Fridays). My first appointment was with a nurse practitioner and she spent an entire hour going over my history but most importantly not shaming me or making me feel bad about myself. I started ATI Physical Therapy in Fallston during December 2017 and I chose not to finish my treatment there, for many reasons. They scheduled 3 different patients at the same time, so little attention is given. When I received my Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company I was shocked and confused. I noticed 2 OUTRAGEOUS charges of $70+ for each date of services. I emailed ATI with my grievances and I received an immediate response from HR/Accounting. I was told that one $70+ fee was for 3-8 minutes of individual thearpy time and the second $70+ fee for 10 minutes of exercise, even if they were unsupervised. I was also told that these charges were dictated by the American Medical Association. I looked online and I could not find anything related to the 2017 AMA guide that dictated these OUTRAGEOUS charges. I was charged $80+ for individual thearpy time with Patrick, I suppose it is more money because he is the manager at ATI Fallston, for about 3-4 minutes. He only stretched my legs and I was there for osteoarthritis in my knee. I then asked not to have Patrick, the manager, for any more individual thearpy time. My exercises were unsupervised, except when he looked up, only once, from his phone and criticized one of my exercises. My main therapist did spend time, when I actually had individual therapy time with her. There were 3 patients scheduled at the same time. She even made an effort to hold a conversation, while the other two male therapist talked among themselves. She still did not do the exercises she gave, with me and they unsupervised as well. I had a few exercises I did laying on the table and the rest were done standing up and holding onto a straight bar. I was never instructed on how to use any of the exercise machines. I could have done the exercises laying on the floor and holding onto a chair. I COULD HAVE SAVED MYSELF $70+ and done unsupervised exercises at home. I only wish that someone would have told me from the beginning about how OUTRAGEOUS these charges were. So, I WAS CHARGED $70+ for 3-8 minutes of individual thearpy time and $70+ for UNSUPERVISED EXERCISE TIME! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY WITH ATI FALLSTON!!!!
