I found Luke thanks to his great reviews, and am so grateful! I have never liked working out with others, least of all, barking fitness coaches shaming you as a means of motivation. So I've never been one to seek out a personal trainer. However, the pandemic leaving the gyms closed has left my health/fitness in shambles. I used to be a treadmill-elliptical-bike and/or yoga kinda lady. While I've completed a series of half-marathons in the past (the too-distant past!), cardio is something I feel I've had some level of comfort with, but strength training has always felt elusive and intimidating. I never thought I'd ever workout with a trainer because I'm pretty shy and awkward working out in front of others, but I'm glad I got over myself and contacted Luke. With his persistent motivation, I was able to reach my goal of getting toned and feeling confident by my wedding day. I found Luke on a whim searching for trainers in Los Angeles on Yelp. I am really glad I made the decision to train with him. He really took things at my pace, gradually making the workouts harder as I improved. He helped me improve both mentally and physically over the time we trained. He imparted his knowledge of the human body, as well as fitness and healthy eating on to me and I've been able to take things into my own hands since then. I trained with Luke for six weeks to help kick-start my fitness and strength after a few years away from regular exercise. He made it very clear to evaluate my body's capabilities, and start me off with things I could safely manage. Since I am young, and mostly healthy, I was able to progress pretty quickly. I don't normally write these but my experience with Luke has had such a positive impact on my life that i feel it warrants sharing so hopefully others can find him and get healthy and fit. First, let me say as a woman, I am very comfortable around Luke. He's professional, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. When we first met, Luke took the time to really listen to my goals and he asked a lot of questions about my training history and my past injuries. He also got a clear picture of my eating habits. Basically, I wanted to get leaner and firmer without being bulky. Luke knew exactly what approach to take to accomplish this as efficiently as possible in the 3 days a week I can train. He helped me turn my diet around and I've been cooking healthy meals that taste great! And I feel amazing! Luke taught me a lot about gut health and how changing my diet to reduce inflammation and increase nutrient absorption while reinforcing the intestinal lining and beneficial gut bacteria! I trained with Luke in NYC for a year before he relocated to LA. When we started I was very out of shape, probably about 20lbs overweight and generally felt awful. Luke got me down to below my target weight and gave me solid definition. In doing so, I felt healthier than I have in years and I have a whole new self image. I personally dislike the whole personal trainer relationship. However, Luke creates this environment that pushes you to go beyond what you thought you were capable of. When you leave his sessions you don't feel clueless as to what you just did and why. He gives you an understanding as to why his approach works.
