The slow pitch function on the machine did not work and the fast pitch wasn't consistently throwing strikes, but I had fun.

Batting cages never work - was there for an hour only got to bat twice. Atlanta doesn't have many batting cages though

This review is for TOCA which operates inside D-Bat…read more Our family has had a mixed experience at TOCA Marietta. When we first joined, sessions started right on the hour and ran smoothly. Over time, though, the start times have drifted -- sometimes beginning 10-15 minutes late and wrapping up early before the next session. It's frustrating not knowing when the actual instruction time begins or ends. Another issue is the inconsistency with the coaching. The coaches seem to rotate frequently, and there doesn't appear to be a clear, consistent curriculum from week to week. Some coaches focus more on warm-ups and running than on skill development, while others (like Odell and Ronaldo) do an excellent job teaching technique and engaging the kids. Unfortunately, we haven't seen them in a while, and switching days hasn't helped us find them again. We've also noticed that while the club doesn't require cleats or shin guards, several kids wear them, which gives them an advantage during drills and scrimmages. It would be helpful if TOCA clarified equipment expectations so all players can participate on an even playing field. Overall, TOCA Marietta has potential -- especially when led by strong coaches -- but the inconsistency in scheduling, coaching style, and structure has made our experience uneven. With more stability and clearer communication, this could be a great program.

This one does seem to be a little busier than the Perimeter location though, so keep in mind you may have to share the batting cages or have to wait on someone if they aren't open to sharing.

Despite all the links to nets and frames and associated materials, all he could come up with was, "I might have a used trapezoid frame." I waited a week while he confirmed and never heard back. Called him again and was told the same thing. I finally bought one elsewhere. Unfortunately, the kit I purchased elsewhere was minus two connectors I needed, so I ordered them via his online order, thinking it would get here faster than having it shipped across country. Luckily I used my CC and not Paypal. Three days went by and I never got a purchase confirmation via email. I texted him because the site says they will respond in 5 minutes. Never got a response. For days later I called and was told he needed to check his warehouse and that he would respond that afternoon. Never called. Called one last time and was told he didn't have them in stock. I told him to cancel my order and refund me the money. We'll see if it happens, or if I have to take it up with my CC company.

They also sold gloves and an array of snacks and drinks including popcorn and Italian ice. They provided baseball bats and helmets and had seating available with tables to hold your items. This past weekend, I hosted a family field day and kickball event at your facility. Overall, the…read morestaff members we encountered were courteous and accommodating, which we genuinely appreciated. However, our experience with the manager/owner, Shon, introduced an element of discomfort that cannot be overlooked. In preparation for this event, I visited the location on multiple occasions and had not previously encountered him. His presence and demeanor on the day of our gathering felt noticeably reactive, particularly once it became apparent that our group--comprised of approximately 40 to 50 Black attendees--was utilizing the space. This created an impression that our presence was, in some way, unexpected or unwelcome. Additionally, there was inconsistency and lack of clarity regarding your policies. We were initially informed that external speakers were not permitted. Afterward, we were told we could only utilize the facility's radio system. When we requested a station change to better suit the tone of our private event, the response involved internal deliberation and hesitation. When Shon eventually addressed us, his explanation--though carefully worded--suggested an underlying reluctance to allow what he indirectly referred to as "urban" music. While he attempted to frame this in consideration of "families" and "Christian patrons," the implication was both unnecessary and, frankly, offensive. It is important to emphasize that this was a paid, private event. As such, it is reasonable to expect that the environment would be tailored to the preferences of the hosting party, rather than hypothetical or intermittent walk-in guests. The repeated presence of management circling our group, observing, and intermittently interjecting added to an atmosphere that felt less like hospitality and more like scrutiny. While we remained focused on enjoying the occasion we planned and paid for, the overall experience was undeniably impacted by what felt like biased assumptions and differential treatment. The situation left us feeling uncomfortable and, quite honestly, disrespected. I trust this feedback will be taken seriously and used to reassess how guests--regardless of background--are engaged and accommodated moving forward.

Nothin too fancy about this place but I do appreciate that there are plenty of bleachers available to sit and watch as well as bathrooms available. This place is pretty clean and the staff are helpful if you need anything.
