The slow pitch function on the machine did not work and the fast pitch wasn't consistently throwing strikes, but I had fun.

Context: In town for a week long baseball tournament and wanted to get some hitting reps between games. Price was reasonable, and the machines worked well. We went 3X during off hours so there wasn't too much of a wait between rounds. read more

This review is for a week of the summer camp. Day one - Son said he did a little practice but also stood around a lot and watched a lot of YouTube. Day two - When we arrived, I walked him to the back where practice takes place and about 4 kids were already there practicing hard pitches but there were no coaches in sight. I hung around hoping someone would show up and it was about 10 minutes before they did. These people might know baseball, but they don't know anything about kids. I'm on the fence about bringing him for the rest of the week. Day three - I brought him a little bit late and decided to hang out and observe. I watched for about an hour and the coaches were actively working with the group. My son got frustrated early when they were just warming up with a game of catch. I helped him work through it and he got back into it and participated in some drills while I was there. I have a few concerns after watching. Day four - We didn't continue because my son seemed to be struggling and probably needs more one on one help and I don't want to end up making him hate baseball. 1. Safety seems a bit lacking. They're using actual baseballs instead of the softer practice version. I was told before signing up that they would use lightweight plastic balls to practice fielding. That is not the case. Also when we arrived there were 10 boys playing catch with each other in a big enclosure, while one coach played catch with 3 boys in a separate enclosure. My son was one of the 10 . He is bad at catching the ball and got hit a few times but since there was a lack of supervision no one saw it. 2. None of the coaches gave any kids one on one attention while I was there. My kid clearly needs some help with the mechanics of throwing (and catching) but no one even offered him any tips. I would teach him myself but I had hoped he could get some instruction from someone who played organized baseball. I thought that's what I was paying for. 3. This camp could be better if they could somehow split the kids into different skill levels. There seems to be enough coaches to do it. read more

Cute little swipe card situation for batting cages! Definitely a fun thing to do every so often(:

First visit was on a Saturday. Huge tip, get there early because they fill up with teams quick. They have 4 batting cages. The HitTrax is the real softball or baseball. The other 3 are soft versions of the baseball or softball. You can choose your speed: soft pitch, 40 mph, 50 mph, or 60 mph for softball. My only issue was that my pitches were so low that I was bending to hit. Not good for hips or back. But you get 15 pitches for 1 credit. Each credit is $2. Or you can buy 15 credits for $20. So that comes out to be about 225 pitches. It's a great atmosphere. They have coaches and they have monthly memberships (Gold and Platinum). I think I'll go back for Gold which is $48/mo. And you get 10 credits everyday, which is about 150 pitches from any of the machines. And they let you borrow bats! I really enjoyed myself. I would advise you bring one person to adjust the pitches up or down on the simulator for you while you're in the batting cages. Will be returning! read more

A decent place to go for some batting practice. I play softball, and they have 3 batting cages that are typically available to hit with a couple of friends. It's nice that the place is indoors so you can be protected from the elements. They have a cool cage that virtually simulates how far you would hit the ball, which I enjoy when it's available. I typically come after 7:30 pm because there is usually less children. read more

Do people not review batting cages? Surprised there aren't any reviews, but I suppose I'll start.... Closest batting cages I know of to midtown, so I was already excited. It is kind of in a random location and if you have never driven out this way you might almost think you're on the wrong track...but it's back there and this place is great. You get a card when you go in and load up however much you want on it. The cages have a pitch speed selection machine at the entrance so you can swipe your card and select speed before you even get in the cage. This makes it easy to go on your own and not have to worry about needing anyone else to push a button for you or whatever. Everything was great on my first visit and the one time the machines got backed up they came to fix it right away. This place is easy peasy and a great way to blow off some steam if you need to :-) read more

Batting cages never work - was there for an hour only got to bat twice. Atlanta doesn't have many batting cages though

Had great time with my kids, great rates, great customer service, nice for fast pitch baseball or slow pitch softball, I think if you play baseball or softball this is a great place to practice hitting outside of practice, or to show off your hitting skills with friends, I will be back to get ready for my softball season read more

I have wanted to get back to swinging a bat for a long time and was looking for a batting cage close by. Found D-Bat while searching on the web and really enjoyed the experience. After getting my profile set up and 'credit' card (no coins any more, everything is stored on a plastic swipe), I was walked around and shown where everything was. They were super helpful and nice. Checking back to make sure there were no jams in the machine. Definitely would recommend it. read more

I went to this place to take some indoor batting practice, I was the only one there. I met a employee named Casey and he was very rude and was not helpful at all. This was definitely not the experience that I was looking for. Also, the location is in a bad part of Atlanta. I would not come back ever. read more

I had a very average experience here with my baseball team when we came for a practice while down south for a spring trip. The "virtual reality simulator" was straight cheeks and didn't work. Other than that the cages were just okay, not much room to do anything else besides hit. read more

Been looking for a batting cage to go hit at in Atlanta for a while now. Went into D-BAT and will definitely be there on a regular basis now. Key was so nice and even let us borrow his bat! They were personable, professional and made sure we had a great, memorable time! I know one of the instructors there, Kensey, is GREAT! Would definitely recommend her for any softball girls. Good idea for business but incompetent manager. Always seems to be something wrong with equipment or cages are mis scheduled. Constantly trying to sell membership. Calls my home often trying to sell it even after i said i wasn't interested. read more

I attended my nephew's birthday party here and the staff was very accommodating. The pizza that was ordered was very delicious. I also had a blast at the batting cages. The only complaint... The outside baseball area for kids needed to be a little cleaner. There was a lot of debris on the field. read more
