I worked with Haley at PNC and she was AWESOME to work with! She's super friendly and gives great suggestions. She also made herself available for all my questions no matter what day or time it was. The food program was super easy to follow. The way the menu is broken down is very easy to follow and figure out what and how much you should be eating. I like that you learn how to break down macros on normal food labels, so that when you're done with the program, you can continue to eat healthy and keep a balanced diet. It starts with an initial meeting where several body measurements are taken, a complete dietary history assessment and conversation about the program. Well, I came into this program not expecting too much, but after being on every diet in the world, some that work and some that don't, I figured I needed a personalized approach. But, just know, I do exactly as told, so it usually isn't me, but each "plan or system". I understand, I was not blessed with the "skinny gene". Hands down the best use of my time, energy and money. If you are sick of programs that don't work or are short term fixes you have found your home. I have been athletic my whole life and very active but like anyone else I got older and my body got slower. I went up and down 20 pounds for years since college through my twenties, 30's and during and after I had my daughter. I have been working with PNC consultant Haley for the past 7 months. The services offered by PNC are second to none. I have lost nearly 20% of my body fat and feel great. I came here to get better and after all of this was over I needed time to reflect and really think about all that happened and overall I am not satisfied and am very disappointed. I cannot recommend her. Last fall I went to see practitioners to help heal my gut and I did lab work and a stool test. I was told that I had SIBO, I found Marti, then after multiple phone calls I decided to do the consultation to see if we would be a good fit. She told me about herself, her accomplishments and I told her about my very complex situation. I am underweight but she felt like she could do it and if not then she would get me to someone who could. We both agreed to move forward and I signed up for the 12 week (session) plan which ended in April. She started me on Apple Cider Vinegar and I mentioned to her in the past when I did that it didn't really sit that well with me. In the past I didn't do it for very long so this time I did it for around 2 months. I still had the same symptoms of it bringing me down or draining my energy at times. Shortly after the ACV I started taking betaine and pepsin and still felt some sensitivities and at times a little bit nauseated. There were times when I seemed okay but after around 2 months the nausea got worse and worse and I mentioned to her that I have to stop taking these 2 things so I did and after a few days the nausea was better. She recommended that I take ox bile starting in late December and in the beginning of January I had bad diarrhea for 8 straight days like I have never had before in my life. I even lost control and accidentally crapped my underwear 3 different times. When I told her this she said "that may be a good thing" but there was clearly a problem since I know my body well. So I had to stop that and my diarrhea stopped. The goal was to heal the gut and gain a minimum of 8 lbs up to 18 lbs as the best case scenario. I ultimately gained just 3 lbs. and I had to consume so many more calories than I ever have. When we discussed at times about fiber she seemed to be confused between the difference of soluble to insoluble fiber. She said that psyllium husk was insoluble fiber when in fact it is mostly soluble fiber. That is mind boggling for someone with this kind of experience. At one point I mentioned to her about doing bone broth and when I did it, it really bloated me up bad so I couldn't do that either. This was a bad sign as I remember trying it maybe a year earlier and I felt a sensitivity to it but not like this. She had me on a restrictive keto diet initially then a more normal diet allowing more carbs. Near the end it became clear to me that my stomach had gone from sensitive to ultra sensitive. More proof came from trying shelled hemp seeds after the program was over and before I started this program I was able to eat them but now I can't as I have also become sensitive to that. I didn't expect to be healed after a few months but I shouldn't have gotten worse than I was before I started this. While on this I was usually feeling fair (so so) to pretty good, sometimes not good at all, on occasion a little better than pretty good. Near the end when it was clear that things weren't going very well I asked her, "do you have a mentor maybe someone who has 40 or 50 years of experience that may have some different ideas and she seemed offended by that saying "I have 30 years of experience." Her occasional arrogance was a concern. Why not collaborate with someone when things aren't working well? I had the SIBO breath test done in January of this year and regardless of the results the problem with the breath test is that it is not full proof and many practitioners don't use them for that reason. We did not accomplish a lot as she said we did regarding SIBO since the test is not always accurate. Positive things were that she was thorough with the menu and also took measurements before the virus and she works longer hours. However, in the end I spent over $1000 here to end up worse off. I feel like she never really understood what I was going through. read more
