Distractions drop the moment you step through the doors. With its clean, crisp, and minimalist décor Perspire feels more like a luxury spa and exquisite wellness retreat. The kind usually secreted away in mid-town Manhattan or Los Angeles and frequented by envied and elite age-defying celebs such as Gwyneth or Madonna. The individual, designer sauna studios provide a sensorial paradise for the wellness connoisseur. Each far infrared sauna offers chromatherapy along with an array of audiovisual choices so you may soothe or stimulate and tease or tame the senses as you please. Yet they continued to try to charge my card. I again emailed them to stop attempting to charge my card and they said it was an old automated system. The charge eventually went through (even though it was an old number). I had to call my bank to dispute and put a permanent block on perspire to never charge my card again. In addition, there was one new girl who was completely angry at the counter. Would get frustrated if you wanted to bring a friend and charge to your account. She was always angry when she had to do any work. All this added up to me cancelling my membership. If their phone would have been working in the first place I wanted to give an updated card number to them but they could not accept. So in the time they put me off, I decided to quit my membership. I do not like the fact that they fraudulently continued to charge my card even after I quit.

First off, going up to a bunch of strangers who like to sit in extreme hot and cold is intimidating in and of itself, however, the entire staff is nothing but incredibly friendly and cordial, and they welcomed me when I came up to try the contrast for myself. That first day, I used their mobile setup of ice baths and sweat tents, but Dr. John offered me a quick tour of the facility and explained that they have drop in rates as well as membership packages. I told him that I would go for a month trial, and wanted to see if there would be any positive results. That was three weeks ago. Having an unlimited membership, I have gone 6 days a week since signing up. The online portal is incredibly easy to use, and I book a 45 minute session based on availability. My days off, I go in as early as I can to start my day energized, and on my work days I choose to end the day relaxing in a sauna. I haven't slept this good in years. I feel physically amazing, my mental health has genuinely been lifted, and I love having a dedicated 45 minutes a day to not be on my phone and focus on mindfulness and meditation. The cold plunge is pretty intense at first, as they keep the temperature around 40 degrees Fahrenheit, but the sauna has easy controls on the front to change from an average of 180, up to my personal preference of 195. It takes a few days to get used to the intensity, but now I feel the difference on the days I don't go. With how densely populated the bench has become, it's hard to justify spending 20k on a setup for home use, so the unlimited membership is a no brainer for anyone interested in contrast therapy. My first month trial is almost over, but I'm excited for my next month's renewal.

I made it clear during that discussion that while $19/hour wasn't a dealbreaker, I needed clarity for financial planning purposes. I was told yes -- that I'd be paid that rate -- and was brought on through a temp agency at $18/hour. Once I was officially hired, however, my hourly wage was reduced to $17.50. I was told this would be temporary and that I'd receive a raise in the near future as I gained more training. That raise didn't come for another 8 months, and when it did, it was just 18 cents. During my time there -- nearly a year -- I was given increasing responsibility and eventually led deliveries. Despite the demands of the role, staffing was consistently inadequate. Most deliveries were handled by teams of just two or three people, which often felt unsafe. One particular delivery involving a Vanguard spa tipped over while we were using the company-provided equipment. I was nearly injured. (There is video footage of this incident from the customer's security camera.) In my opinion, the company places heavy demands on employees without providing the necessary support or accountability. This culture appeared to carry over into the customer experience as well. During my employment, I observed multiple instances where spas sent in for repair sat in the yard untouched for months. In some cases, customers waited weeks -- or longer -- for service. I'm sharing my experience in the hope that it helps someone make a more informed decision -- whether you're considering working there or becoming a customer.

I can no longer recommend them in good faith. We've bought two products from them, a hot tub, and a sauna. We've had the hot tub under repair since October - it's now January. As an example, they were here in November to wrap up the repair, and discovered they were missing a part that was in the shop (8 minutes away). They said they'd have to leave and come back another time to fix it. Three days later, the QC person showed up unannounced to confirm the tub was fixed; it was not. They left, and we heard nothing from them for 6 weeks. They texted yesterday that they would be here today, January 10th. There was nothing in the text asking us to prepare or to drain the tub. When they got here, we told them the tub is not drained. The service tech said it needed to be drained and it would take 4 hours - it takes about 20 minutes. He did not know why he was here and he did not know what he was supposed to do; he left, and we still have a tub that is not repaired. On our sauna, it was delivered with a cosmetically damaged heater. It was damaged during shipping. They said they will order a new one and replace it. Eight months passed, and we heard nothing. We checked with Snake River Pool and Spa, and they found they did not order it. SO, they ordered it. It has been 4 1/2 months and we've heard nothing. I recommend finding great products at a vendor that knows what "customer service" means. Stay away from Snake River Pool & Spa.

A few general comments: - The smaller size and location of the gym are positives in my view. If you need to drive and park, though, it's rough. They have parking through the hotel, but it's time limited and the garage gets full and unusable if there are lots of hotel guests or events. - The locker rooms are tiny, barely kept up (broken hooks, and doors, towels strewn about), showers are sort of just a mess (it's one big open space mostly). Also, on the mens restroom, the urinal continues to almost flood daily as it's been kind of clogged forever. You can use it, but don't flush it.. - Cardio machines are ok -- getting on the older side but work well usually Some frustrations continue to include: - They lease out the pool to external swim lessons, so there are large swaths of the day where the pool is basically unusable and kids are running around, screaming, parents are everywhere -- it's a mes - It's also the hotel pool and gym, so between that, swim lessons and normal members, it's a dirty pool if we are being honest. I used to swim here, but I've run into so many gross hairs and "things" underwater that I just can't do it anymore. - It feels like ownership has gotten a little excited post pandemic and membership growth has REALLY taken off the last few months. It's really noticeable and at peak times (4pm-7pm) it's almost impossible to get a weight workout in without massive frustrations. There's simply no space. There's one single real squat rack (the other is a smith machine type thing), a couple benches, one normal bench press ... you'll end up nearly bumping into people just trying to pick up dumbbells. - There also seem to be some third party kettle bell trainers running private training in the gym, which further takes up space and seems to always ALSO be at peak times. - During peak times -- FORGET about trying to even get changed in the locker room. It becomes like trying to change in an aircraft lavatory. - I don't know if they plan to cap memberships, but I worry they won't (like all gyms, they just love the money coming in) ... and it's now teetering on not being a usable gym option just because it's so uniquely small in terms of Sq/Ft. It just doesn't handle the extra people well. - For now I continue to go and mostly enjoy it but only because I have schedule flexibility. If I were forced to only go at after work times, it'd be a tough sell honestly. 4/5 for now -- but it's getting too crowded really quickly

I know therapists usually go off the energy of the client that they're working with, so I think she was probably being polite and the therapist might have considered it being open for more conversation. Anyway, like I said, we did enjoy our services. We were hoping for a group discount, but instead they treated us each to a glass of wine, which we appreciated. We didn't use any of the gym or pool facilities, nor the locker room. The gym equipment seemed fine. There were quite a few people in the gym. We didn't see anyone using the pool, but there were people using the hot tub, sauna, and steam room. I would say that clientele leans more male, and the pool/hot tub/sauna/steam room are co-ed, so take that into consideration if you visit.

Sitting in the sauna for 15 minutes is not the easiest but in comparison to the cold plunge it's a cake walk. Between the sauna and the cold plunge they have a bucket shower that is very refreshing and helps keep the cold plunge from getting too contaminated by sweat. The first time in the cold tub (which is a brisk 50°in the moon room 40° in the other room) I couldn't even get in past my knees but after getting out I dipped my arms in and definitely felt some joint relief from the full experience. It wasn't until the last time I went in the tub that I could get shoulder deep and stayed for close to 3 minutes. The trick is controlling your breathing and focusing on that. This place is a 10/10 for relaxation for rejuvenating and just a fun date night in our experience. Highly recommended
