Their application process was simple, though with really great questions to do their best to make successful matches. The pup we adopted stayed there a little longer due to her medication needs and our older dogs at home. We were able to go visit her for a few hours on a day before we were able to bring her home later that week. The staff were wonderful during our 'meet and greet' and definitely loved meeting our older pups! We went through great information about vet care, spay/neuter and more and they provide awesome supports for bringing home a young pup - even sending us out with puppy food. Wonderful experience!

The problem is that, after getting her home we discovered she was still infested with tape worms. We had to get her to a vet a.s.a.p and have her de wormed .. again .. apparently. This animal should have never been put up for adoption in her condition. We paid quite a bit of money for a kitten we thought was thoroughly treated. It cost me even more money .. this facility was going to issue a partial refund for the unnecessary expense and aggravation, but NEVER followed through on it.

Yes, Deb provides a great service to the canine community with Foster care. It is a wonderful convenience to have a reliable local boutique style pet shop and pet grooming facility right in the neighborhood. The best part is Deb also carries a unique selection of premium pet food for our discerning four leggeds. She took the time and made the effort to order samples of a newer food for one of our pets who had gastric challenges, plus made many recommendations as we tried different food options. The store is always clean, well organised and with plenty of special and unique treats and goodies to bestow upon your lovely pets. The staff is cordial, friendly and attentive. I absolutely love the report cards from the groomers, who truly listen to what I request at each grooming. The dogs are always eager to visit the store and eagerly head to the grooming room with no fuss. Head on over to check out a local neighborhood favourite and, should you forget your mask or need a spare one, pick up one in the store along with some toys and treats for your pets and, be sure to schedule a future grooming appointment. Every pet surely deserves the special Barks 5th Avenue TLC. The Clarks

This review is for a spay appointment we had in January, 2021. What a way to start the new year! First, the new building! It looks so beautiful from the outside. Clean, well-designed, and you can tell that it is them from the enormous dog statue inside! :) For pandemic spay appointments, you call in and reserve a spot on the calendar when they open the schedule for new bookings. I had to wait over an hour on the phone, but that is because they were closed for almost 2 months, I believe, because of the move. The phone staff were incredibly patient and kind. We drove up on the day of Rosencrantz's appointment, as directed. We waited in line while staff went car to car and ascertained who we were, and put an identifier on our car under the windshield wiper. We filled out the paperwork. Note: Everyone must be masked, and the cat had to be in a hard-sided carrier, per their emailed instructions. The staff members were masked and I felt safe in conversing with them. Then your car gets to the front of the line, and you hand over the carrier. Poor Rosencrantz was so unsure of what was going on! But I digress. At 4-4:30, you drive back and wait in line to pick up your pet. When we were able to get R, the staff member delivering her was very kind and patient with his time, while we asked questions and he gave specific directions. One thing that would have been good to put on the original directions is to quarantine them to a small room for a while, once you get home, and to have fresh litter. Upon reflection, that makes TOTAL sense, but sometimes we don't think ahead. The price was SO reasonable: $40 for a spay, and $20 for 2 vaccines. That price is much appreciated. It is able to be so low because of grants and other funding (thank you!). In all of our interactions with staff, everyone was SO kind and caring. I never felt rushed or had an unanswered question. Highly recommended!

She offered me several other time slots the same day. When I arrived, my dog was taken right back and Stacy did a phenomenal job. When I took the invoice to pay to the cashier at the front of the store, the registers were empty. I saw a manager running up to the registers and was going to say "please don't run, I'm in no rush." Before I could say anything, she screamed "Austin!" twice. The door to the back office popped open and here comes Austin. He snatched, I have a paper cut to prove it, the invoice out of my hand and scanned it. He gruffly said "tip?" I stated my preference and that was it. The manager walked by and Austin said something about the schedule to her. I asked if he was having a bad day. He said "you could say that" and proceeded to tell me about his overpriced apartment and how he couldn't afford the rent. Dude, I'm just here for my dog. I get we all have bad days, but unloading on a customer about personal stuff is not cool to me. Also, instead of screaming twice, couldn't the manager have checked me out? The groomers are great. The customer service people could use some work.
