There are other alternatives to the drug and believe me, I've tried. But you know how sensitive cats are to medicines. Most of them just vomit them out, or even salivate because the tablets were so bitter despite the wet food. They would sleep with open mouths despite the constant nebulizing. Man that was like hell for me to see. And then, I thought of Pet Express. Even if I know they are mostly selling general supplies, I took my chances and called them up. What do you know? They have the antibiotic I was looking for! And they were selling it for way cheaper than the places I usually get them from. From the usual price of 250 pesos, I got it for 175 pesos. It was such a great relief. You can say, I may have hoarded a little bit. They are all stocked up in my fridge now. But you know...it was such a rare commodity that I was scared of needing it while supplies are not available! That was a good thing to know, really, that Pet Express has medicines available. Today we visited that clinic for the scheduled vaccine and deworming of our dog, at 10am according to the staff, the vet took their early lunch. So we waited until 1:30pm and ask again the staff. They said that the vet is resting and still not calling any pet patients. We have waited for more than 3hrs to be called by the vet, but still to not avail. That vet clinic did not matter the importance of time of the pet owners. The power tripping attitude of those vets in that clinic reflects their unprofessional attitudes.

I tried three places already and there was always something wrong after their grooming. When I heard that The Dog Park offered home services, I decided to try them out and I've been loyal to them ever since. I like how they do the grooming in your own home... in my case, they do it in the garage. But I've also asked how they do it in other areas and they said that if there's no garage or garden, they can also do it in a balcony (for condos). Since it's in your own house, you're assured that there wont be any infestation of fleas or ticks from other dogs. They bring everything with them (table, tools and shampoos) and only use your water. I don't mind this at all since they save me on transportation costs anyway. I have been satisfied with their hair cuts and grooming, especially for my Shelties who always look so pretty after they get groomed. I also love how it's so easy to contact them and schedule with them. The Dog Park is actually more than a home grooming service. They are actually mainly a lodging service and a day care for pets. We first tried them out with our newest puppy to see how he liked it there. Let's just say, he loves it so much that when he is in the car and we're nearing the area, he excitedly scratches the door to get out right away. The place is not so huge but big enough for the dogs to run around in. There are also separated areas for smaller dogs and dogs that need more time to adjust. When we bring our dog there, we just leave his food and they take care of the rest. We're so happy that we have a place where we can leave our dogs if/when we go on travel trips. He loves it there so much and enjoys the company of the resident Golden Retriever and resident Husky :)

It's in our genes - a remnant of the trust and love and sense of security that was cultivated over hundreds and thousands of years of hunting and surviving together since the dawn of humanity. And I know this paragraph started well but I have no idea how to eloquently say that my dog started bleeding from her hooha because she got a venereal disease so I'm just gonna put that out there. Now, when your best friend's hooha gets inflamed and starts spitting out pus, your worry levels skyrocket. Thank the gods there was a quaint little veterinary office near our place with the nicest doctor who genuinely cared about her patients. Aside from making sure my dog got the treatment she needs, she also gave her a full grooming rundown. You gotta love people who love what they do, because they make the world better while having fun.

Doc Nielsen came as a really good recommendation not only from my fellow pet lovers but also from the online community. I know we had to go straight to the best which was Doc Nielsen. We visited Doc Nielsen at his hospital located in Mandaluyong, Vets In Practice, another establishment worthy of a 5-star review of its own. Doc Nielsen found out that there was a minor fracture on my doggie's spine which may need surgery when left untreated. He suggested to take the less invasive approach and give him steroids and plenty of nourishment instead. A few weeks later, my doggie was all better jumping and running like crazy. More than healing our dog, you can really see his genuine love for animals once you see him in action.
