This corporate Pet Supermarket in Davie FL had a large front parking lot and two employees cleaning the windows and the front sidewalk upon approaching the front doors. Immediately thought that this store was managed properly. The interior was spaced out well with the big dog baths off to the side wall. I spoke with the guinea pigs, rabbits and birds like a whisperer. They heard me but they never said anything back. Lots of pet toys and accessories including pet carriers and push strollers. Huge aisles full of doggy feed. Watched the employee feeding the fish against the real wall - I think he was jamming out to some rock n' roll tunes through his ear buds. I love this pet supermarket and i come all the time because it's so close to me, but today i had a less than ideal experience with alecia. i purchased 5 mollys and 10 ghost shrimp and while she was trying to get the mollys out of the tank, she joked about the fact that she squished one against the back corner, saying he "seems fine". while she was bagging them, rather than spin the top to twist it, she spun the FISH with a... rather forceful rotation. that seemed to be her approach to all fish bagging. she asked if i had plans for valentine's day, and after i gave a short and simple answer she launched into a tangent about her personal life, her friends, her cheating ex going back to THEIR cheating ex, etc etc etc, and honestly it wouldn't have been that bad if she worked while she talked, but she would pause what she was doing, monologue for several uncomfortable minutes (please remember- i have never met this person in my life), and then go back to catching shrimp. i was hoping for a few pregnant shrimp, and i got two that were heavily pregnant, but while transferring them from the little box into the bag, she dropped one of my big pregnant beauties and had some difficulty scraping her off the floor, and it was dismissed with another "she seems fine". all and all i will be coming back, but i will be actively avoiding alecia as the whole experience was just so awkward and uncomfortable. i like my fish though! read more

Great store with a very clean and well functioning self-wash station. I love going to this location because it's close to other stores I visit but getting in and out of the parking lot can be tricky (take a while, the leaving part). At a quieter time, this is a great location for the dog wash though. The staff was very friendly and helped cleaning up between dogs right promptly. Highly recommended. read more

I went in looking for bird food to feed some neighborhood ducks. The guy out front pointed me in the right direction, the selection of bird seeds was quite limited. I bought what they had. Overall, a good shopping experience. And the ducks loved the seeds. read more

I was in the area for other errands, and stopped at this Pet Supermarket to start SantaPaws shopping for my Luna and her other doggie friends. The store was pretty well lit and looked clean. Since I went close to closing time, the store was almost empty and had two employees on the sales floor & a cashier. This store seemed to have a lot more dog dresses than my neighborhood one and clearly labeled by size; likewise with toys and cookies. The sales floor employee was helpful in picking up a toy for my friend's maltese as well as a corgi calendar for another friend. She also noted that corgis DO look like loaves of bread :) Points for a great sense of humor! read more

Asked for 4 dozen small and 2 dozen large crickets. They give me 4 dozen large crickets which mind you most of them are dead! And 2 more dozens of the same ones. I Asked the person if those were small while checking out he said no not really someone mixed up the containers. I proceed to tell him that my gecko can't have large crickets and I was told to "try cutting them in half". Also this is not the first time I've been given mostly dead crickets. Very frustrating! Nice clean store and recently renovated. Large selections for all types of pets. The store itself was brightly lit and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and checked on me just enough but not so much that it was aggravating. They helped me find what I needed. The selection this store has is so huge they even have some fresh baked cookies that are made just for dogs. I got one for each of my dogs and they absolutely loved them! The pricing seems to be the middle of the road definitely not expensive but not cheap either. Given the way they made me feel when I walked in by acknowledging me and being nice and the cleanliness of the store and the variety of the selection I highly recommend you check this out. The worst. Placed a large order of about $100. The order was canceled and I was never told. I reached out to customer service and was told that the order was canceled and that the warehouse couldn't fulfill the order but if I place the order again, another warehouse will fulfill it. I stupidly placed the order again, and you guessed it, they canceled it again. This time they said that I should place a third order, but a smaller order, and it would be fulfilled. I come here often to get the Zoe Merlot her food. They always have great, friendly, attentive staff and the store is always fully stocked. Every time I've been browsing around I've had at least 2 employees ask me if I need help, not in an overbearing way like when you are clothes shopping and you KNOW they are trying to get that commission, but in a genuine, "How can I help you." kind of way. Even though this parking lot tends to be a pain in the ass, the parking on this side seems a bit easier - I always manage a spot really close. Last time there was a rep for the Blue dog food brand there and she helped me pick out a new flavor for Zoe. Zoe has very dry skin and she mentioned that I want to avoid chicken. Instead I should go with a salmon, or lamb, even turkey. I ended up going with the Wilderness Lamb. It's A LOT more expensive, but Zoe's been on that brand for a a year now and her skin is so much better. Blue also has a nice variety of flavors so she never gets bored. The kind rep also helped me pick out a snack for her - the one she recommended was out of stock that day, but she offered up some other recommendations for me. Very nice lady. read more

I come to this location all the time to get my kitty her food and litter. They are always very friendly and willing to answer questions when needed. The first time I went shopping to replace my kittens litter an emplyee there took me all around the store to explain each litter and which one was the best. So sweet! The store is always organized and always has what I need in stock. The prices for some items could be a little pricey though. read more

They just moved in next-door and now have a self-serve dog wash station that is absolutely the greatest thing there are steps so the dog can get in a bathing area, with a locking chain for their collar so that they can't jump out they provide the soap towels treats and blowdryers there's three stations it's free for the entire first month and then $10 per visit after totally worth it saves my back and my bathroom floors I will be a regular!!! read more

On Jan 20, 2021 I dropped off my puppy (5 months old) for a bath and upon return my puppy was bath and his hair was cut. They cut his hair very low and left a deep cut in the middle of his back which leaving a train track trail. He is a husky and their hair is not supposed to be cut, even discussed this in a previous visit by an associate in the store. When I got my puppy back after the cut, I asked to speak to the manager. The manger had no remorse, was defensive, and just trying to get me out the store by a refund for the bath. He denied that his groomer cut my puppy's hair and I requested the video of the time of visit. Due to his lack cooperation he has yet to reach back of to me, it has been 3 weeks now. My puppy is still sensitive in the spot where he was deeply cut. read more

Although the plaza where this place is located gets quite busy due to the Whole Foods, I'm always fortunate enough to find a place to park at close proximity to their store. I like this Pet Supermarket as there aren't a lot of locals that come here to get their pets food and also I like how attentive their staff are to their clients. I always find myself coming here before heading home to get plenty of food and toys for Windy. I'm glad I came here before getting Windy as the staff as well as my friend were able to help me get food that they were sure she would like as well as fun toys to make her new home as comfortable as possible. I noticed that they also have cats up for adoption as well as other furry animals. However I've read articles and even saw videos that the places where these animals were kept is incredibly insanitary and the conditions that they were in were atrocious so I highly recommend you adopt carefully and be sure to have those poor animals checked for anything with their vet since a lot of problems that they may have could easily go unchecked. Anyways, this place is great for produce for your companion and even considering adopting another one here is also a great opportunity! For them and yourself! read more

This store has an of infestation pantry moths . The moths fly around the whole store, especially around the dry dog food section . Please check you purchase very carefully . I had pantry moths last year and it was a night mare . Trust me you do not want them in your house. This is the second time I notified the store manager within a month and a half . They did nothing . This is my second go-to store for my furbaby. When I was carless for a month, I ran out of puppy food. Seeing as the Broward Blvd petco is about 4 miles from my house and here is about .7, I decided to take Sam for a walk there and back to get his food. It was more of a treacherous walk along the way there than I anticipated, but the store was more than I expected. I had visited another location of this chain further north in Port St. Lucie and was less than impressed but here the store is squeaky clean and the employees are all really friendly. I wasn't looking to carry a 12 lb. bag of food home with me but they were all out of the little bag of food I typically buy, so I asked for help and the sales guy told me that the one I buy "small breed" is the same flavor as the one they had in stock, just a smaller kibble size. So there was really no difference and I wasn't bummed. Yay for good customer service, product knowledge and not really having to try something my picky pup might not like. I also love the fact that they have puppy treats in the shape of actual cookies and cupcakes. I've seen some "dog bakeries" that charge insane amounts for said items, here they were around $1 or less apiece. Perfectly reasonable as a cutesy snack since it's more for the humans and our pictures-the dogs prefer human food anyway. I bought Sam one for his first birthday and his 1 year anniversary of his adoption is soon so I'll be back for one for that day :D read more

I was so excited about the new location because of the new self-serve dog wash! Unfortunately, they water down the shampoo to the point where it's very hard to use. Other locations just give you a small bottle of regular shampoo, which is much better. I came here for supplies for my saltwater aquarium. They have a very clean and organized store. I was able to find everything I came for and the prices were good. I wish they had saltwater fish and not just freshwater though. I usually go to the Miramar location by my house, but I come to this location often when I'm waiting for my daughter during violin rehearsals at Nova. There are a lot of things I love about this location, including the layout, parking, and the super friendly and attentive staff. This location has a bit more of an intimate feel to it. Although it's in the same plaza as Whole Foods, finding parking has never been an issue and the parking is right in front of the store (score). The layout is nice and spread out and it's easy to quickly find what you're looking for even if you're new to the location and have to figure it out. I've been to this location on several occasions to buy food, treats, and toys for my pets (3 dogs and 3 cats) and the staff has always been a pleasure to deal with. read more

Terrible customer service, we were looking to adopt a cat but didn't have two forms of ID with us so we were told we could put the cat on hold while we got the IDs. We get back at the store with the IDs and we're told the cat was adopted and they're not allowed to put cats on hold. This was really unfair for us to suffer the consequences of the employee's mistake. read more

We bought a baby ball python at this Davie location. This was our first snake, unfortunately he was infested with snake mites, and although we tried everything we could, we were too late and he died. Since the snake, the tank and all of the accessories were new from the store, it is safe to assume that he arrived with mites from the store. When I called and spoke to the manager, not for my money back, but to inform him that the other snakes he has are in danger of mites, he was very dismissive. He said they spray for mites regularly. We were very sad to have our new pet die & I would like to say to anyone buying a snake from this location, please take your new snake to a veterinarian immediately to insure it's health and to get any necessary medication to treat mites. Upon entering the store I was meet with the distinct smell of small animal urine. I didnt think much of it seeing as it was the end of the day until I was also confronted with a repulsive lack of concern regarding two large fish violently fighting. I brought the situation to an employees attention, the boy shrugged it off starting that "they have been at it all day" and that he would "check back to see if they were bleeding later"... The fish were doing visible damage to each other and thrashing about hard enough in their aquarium hard enough to splash water out of the tank. I was concerned by this responce but granbed what I had come for and went to check out. At checkout I tried to bring my concerns to the manager (Robert) and his response was in essence "they do that" without eye contact or making any effort to acknowledge my concern. And thats when decided I was not going to make my purchase at this store and left. I called and emailed their corporate office and received no response back within several buisness days. I will not be returning. I'd encourage you to find another cleaner more in-touch store. read more
