This place is your average pet store. Has a combination of low priced/low quality food and higher quality... has a decent assortment of toys and beds and stuff like that, but the store isn't big so they don't have too much of a selection. The staff is nice and friendly, but don't seem to be pet enthusiasts - more like college students. There's nothing wrong with that, but don't expect to go in and talk in depth about why some food is healthy or not or what the best cat litter is for your situation. The facilities are also well maintained; not a speck of dirt to be found. Prices range from about the same as other chain stores (food) to a little higher (treats, toys, furniture). Average pet store territory. The saving grace for this place is that they put out $2 off $10 purchase coupons once a month or more in the newspaper and also have a newsletter where there's almost always a $4 off $20 coupon. A 20% off discount whenever you make small purchases definitely puts them on a level playing field with other stores. That combined with them being a three minute drive away gets me coming to this store... though sometimes - when I'm out west - I'll go by other chains that accept Pet Supermarket coupons as a competitor instead. If you want people really enthusiastic about keeping your pet healthy and happy, go to a local mom and pop. If you just need the basics, this place is fine - but it won't have as much selection as a store like PetSmart of Petco because the store is just smaller. read more

Leann was fantastic!! Dr golds ear therapy is a wonderful product... for a water loving cockapoo that has tiny ear canals that are a haven for warm moist fungus issues to thrive. You save me from a trip to get for a gooey ointment and squeezing a tube not knowing how much is actually getting dispersed, this is a squeeze bottle, easy to use and fast results!!! She was knowledgeable on the phone and upon arrival all employees greeted me as well. She walked me to the product as we chatted. She , and the entire store couldn't have been better. $10.99 later and just a few applications later , happy dog and dog owner! read more

My dog has been pulling his best impression of Houdini lately popping out of his leash harness at the most inconvenient times. So of course I jumped into here to find a replacement... On my way into the store I took notice of the fish tanks and decided to take a look... call me crazy but when I check out the fish, I don't want to see a ton of dead fish. Okay, so some fish will die but why not remove them from the tank so people like me don't stare and wonder why so many dead? why are they still in the tanks? why so unprofessional? are these tanks clean? what's killing them? On Sunday I stopped in to pick up some dog food. (right after getting a pedicure) When I went down the isle, I noticed that unfortunately the bag I needed was on the top shelf. I asked an older women for some help and apologized for the inconvenience. (I mean, its really annoying that of all bags mine had to be on the top shelf). She climbed up a ladder and aggressively started punching the bags that were in the way and pulled a bag (the wrong bag) and started screaming 'excuse me hellooo hereeeee' and I put my arms up to grab the bag and said ' oh no I need the other one.' She let go of the bag before I grabbed it and it fell on top of a storage container, that fell on my foot. It was so painful that I turned around. I started bleeding. By that point she grabbed the right bag and again started screaming 'hello mam hereeee hello.' I turned around and grabbed the bag and turned around again, being in so much pain I wasn't aware I didn't say thank you. As she got off the ladder she looks at me and goes ' you're welcome,' as if I were ungrateful of her help. I cannot believe how rude this women was. I visit this location from time to time - its a mile away from my house. Another women witnessed this and insisted I report the incident. I felt uncomfortable and the young women at the front counter took my number down and said the manger would call me asap. It's Tuesday and I haven't received a call and I now have a blood blister -on what was a new pedicure now ruined pedicure- toe. :( read more

This is a good pet supermarket location. The staff is friendly and the store is always clean. The parking here is really bad though. It shares a small plaza with several other stores so it can get a little crazy trying to get in and out of the parking lot. They have a much better section of soaps and dog care items to choose from compared to the Boca location I also go to. Lately I have been coming to this locations because it is a little closer to my house and the selection is very good. read more

Staff was singing along to a song on the radio and yelling to each other when walked in...Manager was busy arranging a display at the entrance. We waited a few minutes near the fish display but no one ever came over to help. I went to the manager to ask for help since I didn't know anything about Beta fish. A cashier skipped, yes literally, over to us but spent time getting biscuits for a dog for people who said they were just looking at fish....then she stated she knew nothing about fish and skipped back over to the manager. On my way out she told the manager we needed help..no apology or acknowledgement of our presence So we went to Petco. Great staff, helpful and knowledgable. The employees at this store in particular are wonderful! I come out of my way to shop at this location because the staff always remembers my dogs name and they give him a treat which makes him happy of course. They are very knowledgeable and helpful most of all. read more

Super expensive, I bought a training leash for $27 and when I told our trainer her first words to me were, "return it". I ended up going and getting one that has the same effectiveness for $12. There are way too many pet stores and pet sections around this area to pay an arm and a leg, and although the supermarket is closer to me than the rest, ill take the trip... read more

The staff is nice, but I'm not pleased with how management handled my issue. They didn't have my pets dog food in stock, and that's off because they always did. When I asked why not they simply said "they have the order, they just haven't gotten around to it yet" and why exactly? Because now you just lost a paying customer because of your laziness. I only buy a toy or two from this place. I get my food some place else because they always make their orders and have it in. read more

I have been going here for years and am surprised at some of the low ratings for this store. I am always greeted and if I look confused am always asked if I need help. This happened today (3/10/15) and I was assisted by a young lady who showed me a dog hammock which is what I was looking for. She opened the box, took out the hammock and noted that it was waterproof. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is kind of tight but that is not this store's fault. read more
