On my texts before the grooming day he said that there will me a "de-matting fee". Schnauzers cuts are shaved 3/4 tops of their body and left the bottom part and their legs hairy... That is not what I found when I get back home. I brushed my dogs the night before to make it easier. There was some matting but nothing a scissor and brush could fix. I have had Lhasa Apsos for 20 years and if someone really know hows about de-matting a dog is me. I'm just crazy busy. (Wo aren't) Del Valle, rather to spent a one hour or two (and charge me) with a scissor and a brush de-mattig the bottom part of my dogs (which wasn't that bad), without consent just shaved them all the way to their skin and gave me back two rat-looking dogs. I came home and was horrified with it. And charged me $150 Unfortunately, I will not use him again and will not recommend him. Totally unprofessional. As a groomer is easy to say "you should groom your dogs every 6 weeks". But when the time comes to REALLY show your skills and give back a beautiful dog and show that you can go the EXTRA MILE to please a client, you failed miserably! I don't feel good doing this review but no dog owner should NEVER have to go thru this disappointment. The only thing differently that he did that my cleaning lady couldn't do was to cut their nails.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Pet Paradise…read more A week before my scheduled boarding, I completed a tour of the facility and completed the the required paperwork prior to boarding. During the tour, I specifically asked if there was anything else I needed to do before my dogs' stay, and I was told everything was set. Today, I arrived to board my two dogs before leaving on a trip tomorrow. One is an almost 2-year-old French Bulldog who is perfectly healthy and fully trained, and the other is my 17-year-old Shih Tzu. After arriving, I was told they would not board either dog. My French Bulldog was excited from the car ride and had just been outside before we drove over, so she was panting. They said her temperature was elevated and refused to board her. As soon as we got home, she was completely fine, acting like her normal self, and showed absolutely no signs of illness. My 17-year-old Shih Tzu was also refused because I had put a diaper on her for the drive as a precaution in case she became nervous and had an accident in the car or lobby. I explained that she does not wear diapers at home and that I simply take her outside regularly. I didn't even bring extra diapers because she doesn't need them. Despite explaining this, they still refused to board her. What is most frustrating is that none of these concerns were discussed during my tour or after I completed all of the paperwork. Had I been informed in advance that these issues could prevent boarding, I would have had time to make other arrangements. Instead, I was turned away the day before my trip with virtually no notice. As the owner of brachycephalic breeds, I fully understand that facilities must prioritize safety, and I appreciate caution when it is genuinely necessary. However, this experience left me feeling that my dogs were being judged primarily because one is a brachycephalic breed and the other is elderly, rather than being evaluated based on their overall health and individual circumstances. If your family has a French Bulldog, another brachycephalic breed, or a senior dog, I strongly recommend not boarding your dogs here. My experience was incredibly stressful. I hope Pet Paradise reviews its intake process so other pet owners don't have to go through the same experience. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
