I ordered from website, all items said available for same day delivery. 2/5 items were delivered. I called customer service and the store in Northport to say that if I had been told before delivery that items were out of stock, I would have cancelled the entire order. I had ordered a hamster cage, ball, water bottle, food, and bedding and the bedding and bottle were delivered. I had to pay shipping and have a tip to driver. I called trying to say that I would gladly pay for more expensive food and cage (in stock) if it could be delivered same day without fee since I had already paid those fees for items that were the most important. THE CAGE! I was basically told nothing could be done and to shop at Pet Smart and/or Pet Supplies. Told by the 2nd person on the phone from direct store contact that I should purchase e from someone else! NEVER IN MY LIFE has a store told me to shop elsewhere, but believe me... I WILL NEVER shop from Pet Supermarket again! Oh, the email that my items were cancelled came after the email saying items were delivered and driver saying only 2 items delivered! read more

this is generous. I placed an order and paid on my app. 4 minutes later my order was cancelled and noticed sent via email. When I arrived the required 2 hours later, the clerk and the manager could not find my order. I gave the manager the order number from my app and she said it was cancelled and this is typically due to no stock. I told her the app should indicate if it was and she said not always. She also indicated that a refund could take up to 10 days. I decided to go look for an alternative and found 3 bags on the shelf of what I ordered. I asked another manager about this and he said an employee called in sick so whoever was pulling the product probably didn't have time to check the stock room. They apparently had a 5 minute deadline because the order was cancelled within 4 minutes of placing it. Very poor customer service. PetSuperstore has competitive pricing and discounted theirs to the same price. read more

I'd give them a negative if possible. Two different visits I was charged two dollars above the posted price on the shelf for cat food. The second being today. Except today the credit card computer went tit's up and I didn't have enough cash. I told them the price posted is 14.99 but they claim they hadn't received the email to change the price on the shelf! But WTF! It's okay for the register to ring up a higher price without them telling you? I think not! I fell for this two months ago but I'll be damn if I do again!!! So I made the purchase at the other chain pet store after I left. Never going back to this place. Dishonest business. read more

I visited this store for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly impressed with the size, cleanliness, selection, and most of all the very friendly employees. I have never received such undivided personal attention at any other pet store. Keri, who helped me with a complicated request, is an absolute gem. She does everything with a smile in her attitude. the only perk is a somewhat nice staff and that's being nice. bought a pet rat, they told me was a boy but he was indeed a girl and reproduced with my previous pet rat causing chaos i was not prepared for. i was also buying "pinkies" for my pet snake at a fairly great price then they switched to selling boxed pinkies/fuzzies and jacked the price way up. also, dead fish. i'm just not a happy camper when i walk out of this store. read more

Shit management. The manager is a complete asshole. I came in asking about fancy rats and he said "yes we have rats but I'm not going to sell one to you because you called it a fancy rat, we only sell rats that are going to be feeder". This. Is. Long story short, do not ever think of applying here. My friend and I have both tried to work at this pet store. I was told I had a job and even signed paperwork on December 17. It's now February and I still haven't gotten any news from the background check except for "it's had trouble going through". I have called this store more times than I called the restaurant I previously worked at for a year. I quit my previous job because I thought I was moving to this one. Now I'm jobless. My friend thought everything was good and even worked a full 8 hour shift. Now he's being told that he's been kicked out of the system because he was told on Friday at 4:00 that he needed to bring in a license on Saturday. He had an expired permit, and had to wait until Monday to take his driver's test. This has gone beyond ridiculous and now I'm emptying out my savings just to pay for rent. Store is near my house and doesn't smell like the other pet store in town. Prices are a little higher but it's close by and doesn't stink which is a plus. I bring my Yorkie with me each time and the employees love her read more

Extremely low customer service. They did the bare minimum of greeting me upon entering the store, none of the associates asked if I needed help. At checkout, the young lady asked if I was a VIP member. When I said no, she did not ask if I was interested in joining (it's free). Wonderful! Beautiful Animals, and the workers were souped helpful. Absolutely made my day. They let me hold all of the reptiles that would not harm me, and even hamsters and rabbits. As for caging, every animal seemed healthy and happy. Great place to buy supplies for your pet or a pet! read more

This place is completely unprofessional. I asked for their selection of wiener dogs. The manager took me to the back and showed me a red ziggler wiener . It seriously looked like it had came straight from the package. After his unprofessional attitude here and at his previous job, I will not be visiting again. read more
