I'll admit, it's been a few weeks since I've had her groomed and her undercoat was getting pretty matted. After mentioning that we prefer her coat long , they promised to keep her round face and as much body coat as they could (I assumed a full shave would be in her future). NOPE, they were able to save some of her coat and her fluffy little face is intact! They have a post-groom play area in the back -- which I didn't personally see -- that includes a couch for the pups to play and relax while waiting for pick-up. There were two other small dogs there for her to play with -- so much better than picturing her locked in a cage all alone. Owner mentioned they do have cages, but socialized dogs head to the play area. Full groom was extremely reasonable (especially considering the condition she was in) at only $48. i signed up for the bi-weekly 'maintenance' program (under $30 per visit) and highly recommend this groomer.

It is quick and easy to drop her off and pick her up after lunch. I drop her off 8:30-9 am. And most days Joe has her done by noon. The shop is very clean and neat. The shop is right on Park avenue and very easy to get to. Parking in front of the house or on the street is available. The shop is close to downtown Sanford and the dog park. I have a 9lb white Maltese. Any of you who know about that breed you know that they have beautiful fluffy hair. When I gave him to her I advised that my baby had an allergy that affected his skin, so she was aware. My dog hadn't had a groom in a while and yes, his beautiful hair was a little longer than usual, being Thanksgiving i wanted him to look handsome. When she finished and handed me my dog, I didn't notice at that minute, but once I saw him i started crying. My poor dog was almost bald, he had no hair on his ears, tail and nearly any on all of his body. His face still had long pieces of hair and the top head was so uneven it look terrible. My poor baby was unrecognizable. I called the office,which was so loud with kids in the background that I could not barely hear. When I complain to them she said it was because my dog's allergy and that was groomer was unaware of! Which i did tell her before she started. Even when I sent them pictures they still didn't believe me. My dog gets groom by other groomers and he always comes out very handsome, even with his allergies. All they offer was for her to come back and make it even. I wonder how she was going to do that if my poor baby was BALD! Also I don't know what they did to his ears, he has bed scratching them since she cleaned them! I will NEVER used them again and hope nobody else does! Abbie was very flexible - asked me about my dog (a yellow lab) and what was needed. As the lab is very low-maintenance, grooming was very quick - and she was able to fit me in the next day. Abbie uses a partial room of the Vet hospital, so it was a bit difficult to find - but the service she gave was excellent. My boy, Brutus, came home smelling fine and didn't shed for about a week.
