And it makes me sad to say that I will no longer be coming to Barks and Bubbles for services. Recently I have had a very awkward experience with them. When you go to drop off your dog the door is locked with papers mentioning things against ICE. You have to be let in by one of the workers. When you walk in there is a "F*ck ICE" sign on their desk. This was not only hurtful and disturbing considering that I have family members that are officers. It was hard for me to believe that they would have such hatred in their workplace. BUT I was going to look past it because even though I don't agree with what they stand for they have always groomed my dog well and I'm not one to hate someone because they have different opinions than me. My mom also gets her dog groomed there and my mom also saw what they were doing and felt disrespect by it. She took it upon herself to write a review for barks and bubbles talking about her concerns. A day later I get a voicemail stating that my appointment for Milo got canceled and I would need to call back to discuss why. I called them back and talked to Amanda and it was uncomfortable. She starts off saying that my mother left a bad review and wanted to know if I shared the same opinion as her. Assuming because we have the same last name.... First of all SO disrespectful to ask my opinion on it because it is none of your business and I'm going to you for a SERVICE. I was very taken back by her questions and she said my mother harassed her with her review. Meanwhile she already canceled my appointment for my dog without even talking to me first assuming things. Amanda basically said we just wanted to talk to you to see what your opinion is and if it's the same then we can not service you. I was SO taken back at this and didn't know what to say. She then goes on to say how they lock their doors to feel safe and that their signs in the workplace are free of speech and doesn't reflect on the work they do.... But why have such vulgar signs at your workplace... I'm sure not everyone agrees with your stance so you are asking for these kind of issues. ALSO why are you involving me! My mother wrote that not me just because we have the same last name makes you think it's ok to drag me into this and ask my opinion on it when you have her number! After talking with her she rescheduled my appointment but after thinking about it more I was very disappointed and felt discriminated against so therefor I will not be going back. They also told me to ask if I could talk to my mother to get her review down.

Also I was told my dog had matting on just his chest and neck and that they had to cut him shorter then requested, I texted back confirming how I wanted the paws and legs left and they shaved him completely and in some places down to the skin, he looks awful. You also cannot talk to the groomer and show and or describe the cut you are looking for, which is very difficult to describe to a receptionist who then communicates back to the groomer. Confusing pricing, and a required membership if you want a discount. An all-around bad experience I would not recommend.

The staff members know our dog by name and give us updates on his day if requested. They post daily photos of the pets on social media which is fun to see what they are up to. The play area webcams also give you a look as to how your dog is doing. There are seasonal or holiday offerings which are fun add ons. For example, if a pet is being boarded during thanksgiving, you can add on a thanksgiving themed meal for your dog to enjoy. Valentine's Day boarding and daycare can opt into a treat exchange so your pet goes home with a variety of goodies. They also have done a yearly photos with Santa event which got us an adorable photo of our dog and Santa. DDG loves each dog like their own and the quality of care is outstanding! Perfect groom every time, and he was excited whenever he walked in their door. And in October, 2021, the new owner took over. And we had the very worst experience of his life. Did he get a good haircut? Yes. And the rest was awful. My dog is older and very small - 15 lbs. He was booked at the same time as two dogs well over 100 lbs. My dog gets anxious when caged, which was one reason we stayed loyal to Clipn'Mutts all these years - Nana truly understood dogs and their needs, and never put a dog in a cage unless they were ok with it. The new owner clearly does not have that level of compassion. When I arrived, I found my dog shaking and whimpering - and limping. The only explanation I was given was that the two huge dogs were "roughing him up" so she put him in a cage. She appears to be all alone, and unable to handle the needs of a busy grooming salon. I hope it gets better, but since my senior pup is STILL limping 3 weeks later, I have little faith. For our dog's health, we will never return. Our dog is now hurt for an extended period of time ($400 in vet bills say it could be permanent), we've never heard anything from the owner, and the entire situation is reprehensible.
