I've been a guest since this store open, reason why I decided to leave Petsmart and stay with your company until today. The turnover was a little difficult to deal with but wasn't bad, we had awesome employees like Ana who left and Colin who is amazing. Today I had the most atrocious service by an associate who always had an issue with me in the store, the reason? I still don't know but today I called to request a case of your Redford beef recipe like I always do, someone indicated that they have the case for me and I can pick it up at any time, that was nice as always, but...this lady went to the little office and mentioned something to a young guy about me and he gave her the order to fill up a little form in order to make "this type or orders (case)" then he started yelling from this cubicle and said something to me, I ask him to come out and talk to me, he came out is a very "macho man" posture, he said that for now on, I must call to place this "special order" other ways I won't be able to get it! He mentioned that I need to stop talking to the trouble lady and that he is the GENERAL MANAGER and I must follow this store policy. At this point the cashier Collin walked away indicating that what they said makes no sense! If you have it I can get it right? What's the difference between ordering like I always do vs getting it from the shelve! I still can get the whole case! I asked for his name and he replied MY NAME IS JEREMY! Then I requested a corporate number and a supervisor name, he refused to give me the number saying you're not getting nothing and get out! This got so loud that guest were also watching this non sense, he took the whole case of food plus the peanut butter sticks that was already scanned and place it on the rack! Then he replied again GET OUT! My dog got scared and I had to pick him up and leave after this incident, my blood pressure got really bad and at one point I got dizzy, then I called corporate and file a complaint. Was this necessary? This doesn't make any sense, he was extremely RUDE and disrespectful! I never experienced such an abusive individual that thinks he can disrespect anyone just because he is the GM! We are paying guests! We pay his salary! And he also said "no you don't " obviously he doesn't not this business concept. One of the requirements to work at this place should be the love and respect to animals and obviously to paying guests! Being a macho man doesn't help, you need to gain guests! That's your job! It takes time to establish relationships with guests and only seconds to lose them. Jeremy represents your company, your brand! Guests don't have time to complain...they just simply don't come back. I have been going to this location for over 5 years for my furry child's full service groom. The groomers here are super friendly and provide top quality service and care for your pet. Dani is AMAZING. I highly HIGHLY recommend booking an appointment with her for your pet. Not only is her technique absolutely beyond words but also her personality and love for pets is what any pet owner can dream of making sure your pet is in safe hands with absolutely no concerns (while also looking cute as hell). I trust Dani with my adorable of a menace dog. If she can take care of that cute small beast, she can take care of any behaviors of any pets. Dani use to also be a manager for Pet Supplies so she has extensive managerial experiences too. I was looking for a new place to get my 14 year old Yorkie groomed since a big box retailer decided they didn't want to see him anymore without a reasonable explanation. My wife called this place without knowing anything about them. We spoke with Nicole who suggested we bring Tobey in to did a meet and greet before scheduling an appointment. We did that and she agreed to take good care of him. When I picked Tobey up after his grooming, he looked great! Unfortunately while Tobey did well one on one with only one other dog around, she felt it best if he went to a one on one situation she while Tobey was well behaved, he had some stress in the bath and dryer and should there be other dogs around, would cause even more stress for him. While disappointed we need to find yet another groomer, I appreciate her honesty and straightforwardness. She's been grooming dogs for 20+ years and knows her stuff. I really wanted to support this store so I could go somewhere that wasn't Petco or Petsmart but how they handle returns makes me not want to come back. Over the weekend I purchased a puzzle toy and a few other things for my dog. After getting home I realized this toy wasn't quite what I wanted so I came back a few days later to return or exchange it. I asked the cashier if I was allowed to exchange the item or return it so I could buy another. They said yes. I had an email receipt and my phone number registered in their store system. My email receipt said returns are possible within 30 days of purchase. The cashier found the item in my account's purchases and I showed the digital receipt however she wasn't able to return the item. The cashier said they weren't sure why they couldn't return and...that was it. I wasn't given any other options or explanations for why I couldn't return or exchange my item. I asked if I could ever exchange or return my item, thinking maybe it was an issue with their system and I was told "I don't know". If I was given an explanation I wouldn't have minded so much but the fact that I wasn't given any explanation or reason makes me feel like they don't even know the employees aren't even sure. If I can't return or exchange a purchase I don't want to come back and spend more money. read more

I definitely got tricked by all the positives reviews. I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday at 3pm. I showed up 10 minutes early to find that the groomer was out sick which I was not notified prior to arrival. The staff was really friendly and they rescheduled me for Saturday at 12pm. I notified the groomer of what i wanted and showed her where she was matting (belly area only) came back to pick up my dog and she was different length hair everywhere. I was really disappointed because I really had high expectations with it being highly rated. Store was really clean and staff was really nice and friendly. Maybe all the good reviews are about the store not the grooming service. I just don't think they should advertise as professional groomers. read more

I absolutely love PSP and often frequent the Centreville location over the Tysons one. I decided to shop at PSP when I wanted to feed my cats more quality food and there's an abundance of that here. Every time I've been with my pup the staff has been super helpful and friendly. Even on a cold, wintery mix kind of day like today the cashier helped me take my food to the car because she knew I had my hands full with the other shopping bag and my dog. So sweet. She also told me about the Orijen rewards program in which you buy 12 bags of food and you get your 13th bag free! At over $45/bag I look forward to our free bag of dog food. Plus with their store reward card they send coupons in the mail. Always nice to save some money. Wish the human grocery store was so friendly. It is unfortunate to put this review but it is relavent to owners of SR pups to know this grooming salon is unwilling to accommodate sr pets who they feel they don't want to accommodate anymore. I understand it is a business but there is a right and wrong way to do anything. As a consumer it is pretty questionable when a business books an appointment, then change it so my Sr pup could get person grooming time as he cannot stay in their kennel for long periods (Note, I did pay more for this service and gave him a bath at home to reduce impact), only to be texted that will will be canceling the appointment. I was told when they first changed the appointment it was due to several pets being groomed and they could offer personalized time and the new time would allow necessary time needed. No texting to say 'Sorry for the inconvience ...' Kicked a sr pup of almost 18 yrs to the curb so they can groom more dogs at any given time ... thank you Pet Supy Plus Centreville VA!!! read more

I have been using the curbside option and when the Fairfax store was still open it was never an issue. The Centreville store sees fit to only provide me with 30% of my order at a time which I don't realize until I get home and see they have generously included only a third of what my order was. Now this could very well be this store's policy as today is the 3rd time in a row this has happened, but it's certainly a strange custom that people who aren't from the area (like me) do not understand. So I suggest using Amazon for your pet needs since Petvalu is no more, unless you enjoy the Centreville tradition of making multiple trips to the store to retrieve your order in shifts. read more

This pet store has it all! It literally has all the pet supplies you need and so much variety in treats/food/toys/grooming care etc. from raw dog food to premium kibble. They normally have sales all the time and their prices are very competitive. If you catch them at the right sale they're could even beat Chewy.com which is always low prices. Best of all Pet Supplies Plus is always ORGANIZED! They have a self wash for $10 and you can normally buy a pass which makes it cheaper per wash. We have also used their grooming and they do a GREAT job with our 2 pups every time. It is professional grooming and not Petsmart grooming (I've only tried Petsmart grooming once but when we got our dog back it looked like she got a bath and that's it, big difference). The staff is always great and if it were closer to the route we take to get in and out of the area we would definitely be there more often. The operations is solid and to top it off they give you a free treat bag when you get your dog washed or groomed there. Those little things are beyond normal customer service which is so hard to find lately. Go there, you won't be disappointed. read more

We used to go to Kriser's (formerly Wylie Wagg) exclusively, but since we moved to from Fairfax to Centreville we starting coming to this Pet Supplies Plus. While they do have a lot of brands of food, they don't carry some of the higher grade food that Kriser's does. However, we still get my dog's treats here. I like that they have bins where you can scoop treats into a bag and buy them by the pound. This is great because I can try out different ones for my dog and see what she likes best. I really like their service here. One time, my dog and I had to fly cross-country. The employees at pet supplies plus were really great at helping me find a carrier that would be airline approved and fit my dog comfortably under the seat. They sell a small assortment of fish, furry things (bunnies and chinchillas) and reptiles (I really want a corn snake now!). I also think that you can use their grooming stations to clip your dogs nail - may want to double check on that though. Definitely a nice option for pet owners and a buck is a buck, why not save one or two of them?? I noticed that the dog treat bar was labeled by each type of treat $XX.XX/lb. I am guessing this is a local shop as its the first I have ever seen and it just opened recently. Prices are well within competitive range and they even offer a store reward program so that you can enjoy daily sales. They are also offering dog washing and grooming services which is nice to have within 5 miles of my house. I have never taken my dogs in before but I might just give this place a try. If they can go through the ordeal of cutting my dogs nails... I will bow down to their superiority. I love this store in Centreville. It is so convenient. I love how I can bring my dogs with me when I shop and they each get a little brown bag to fill up with treats from a certain area of the store. (If you are a rewards customer) I always seem to have a coupon for 25% off. This week I was sent a coupon for 30% off. I was able to get Stella and Chewy's Magical Dust for $13.97, between my coupon and the sale price. That's an awesome deal considering it's normally $20. If you haven't tried this, my dogs love this sprinkled on their food. But they often sell out, especially the beef. It lasts a long time too, much longer than you'd expect. They do often sell out of things more than I like though. The assistant manager Roland is super helpful as well. read more

We visit this location on occasion to use their self-washing station that only costs $10 and you are given plenty of towels, soaps, water, and even a blow dryer! You can get your dog cleaned up without having to wreck your own bathroom! They carry a wide variety of foods and treats for my sweet pit-bull who is allergic to most types of dog food. This store has a variety of pet food & treats that are both healthy and affordable. The grooming department is amazing- easy to schedule and always friendly. My dog suffers anxiety issues (dogs naturally dislike getting groomed) -the grooming department is clean, always not tok many dogs are booked so your dog waits in a cell. I asked for making sure his ear hairs are plucked out, the groomer saved the visit to a vet by cleaning the ears so thoroughly.
