I stumbled upon this place after visiting family. Normally we take our dog to Pet Supplies Plus because we enjoy washing our dog ourselves. But since our dog had a butt mishap (aka we tried to trim his butt at home) we thought he needed some professional help. We called this place and got an appointment the next day. If you are new they require rabies documentation for your first visit. During the phone call, they just ask general questions on your dog's name, weight, your info, and times you can come in. In addition, they are very upfront with their fees. We told them our dog weight/breed so the receptionist gave us a range so we knew what to expect. I believe they give a range because until they see the dog, they won't know what extra things might need to be done. The day of the visit, we felt very welcomed and seeing all the dogs in the back and in the front waiting area gave our mind ease. Our dog is quite shy and a scaredy cat (except at the dog park, go figure lol). Upon checking in, one of the groomers came out saw his butt and knew he needed to be saved from a haircut got wrong. Although shy, as soon as we let him behind the gate with the groomer, he was quite willing to follow them...but very slow. They gave him a little butt trim and a very good wash that including nail trimming which took roughly 3-4 hours. When picked up he smelled so good, looked extremely happy and calm, and had the cutest bandana on him. The price we paid was less than what we were quoted on which was awesome. But this is probably because he didn't need much of a cut. We definitely plan to use this place in the future as all staff was very kind, all the dogs we saw in the establishment (including ours) were quite calm/happy/excited. The price is reasonable and I like that you can get quoted where they give you a range from the cheapest it could be to the most expensive. read more

I think it may be the best cut he's ever had! Very uniform, no missed spots from what I can see. And his face looks fantastic. One thing (not bad) I found out is that different groomers have different "measurements". At my old groomer's, I used to say 1/2 inch body and that was a pretty short body for summer. She warned me that 1/2 inch was too long and I picked from a series of samples she had and I thought I selected one that seemed closest to what I was thinking but it's a bit longer than we're used to for summer so next time I'll have to select the shorter version. Anyhow, am new to the neighborhood and am thrilled to have found a go-to place for my fur baby. I can't seem to get a good picture of his face; his face looks better than pictured. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service. I would never come back to this establishment, and if you care for your dog I'd suggest finding another groomer who will treat not only you (a paying customer) WITH RESPECT but also your pet whom you entrust with them to care for. I simply asked a question to check in on my dog to see if they were done and the lady at the front desk was so rude in responding. Even when I dropped off my pet, she wasn't welcoming nor was she kind in the way she spoke. She was even telling me what to do with my own dog. Such a mean and unpleasant person to deal with. I should've took this as a sign to just leave. Basic human interaction includes being polite and this place can't even offer that. Front desk receptionist needs to learn manners. Also as other reviews mention, their dog has come back with scratches and cuts on their skin. Manners aside, at least take care of the dog. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere to a grooming establishment with better customer service and genuine care for your pet. read more

My go-to dog groomer! I'm very particular about how my Pomeranian's fur is cut and don't want to end up with a groomer who shaves everything, and they have always given her a beautiful scissor trim. I take her every few months to get her hair cleaned up and they always bring her out with a small accessory like a bow or a bandana - so cute!!! I was hopeful with the great reviews, and the lady making the appointment was very nice. But, 2 things knock it down a couple notches: I had an appointment for my puppy around 230pm and they were still not done with her until well past closing, closer to 7pm. They told me that many dogs came in late, but this delay was. not okay, I had to sit in my car for a good 30 minutes watching them finish, and she was the last dog in the salon. But to make matters worse, she came back with a painful looking nick on her tummy, it was about 1 inch long and I felt absolutely terrible because now she'll probably be completely terrified of going anywhere for a groom. I also found it odd they wouldn't let me know they cut her. She was nice and soft when we picked her up, but her hair cut was also not great, I had to trim. her when we got back home. read more

Called to ask about my dog since they said she would be done by 3:30pm. It was past that point so I just made a call. A woman answered, right off the bat asking "what". I asked "hey, how much longer for my pup" she responds with "you need to wait, be patient". I only called once. I go In there to pick up my dog knowing I'm not giving any tip due to their attitude. I cash out and put 0 for tip and the woman says "why no tip, how much do you want to tip." I ended up putting $1. This woman gives me the nastiest stare after that point. Last time ever coming here. My old review was a 5-star but ever since the change of owner. It has brought it down to 2. The previous owner cut Holly's hair to the length that I like and looks very smooth (pictures shown). 2 months ago, my boyfriend brought her back to How Cute and it was just not the same. Her cut wasn't even, it just looked choppy and the owner was expecting a tip, which is okay because I understand that everyone runs their business differently. My boyfriend only had $4 in cash at the time but he still gave it all to her. Yet she has the audacity to say 'that's it,' not even a thank you. Please be grateful to the customers that tip. My boyfriend was nice enough to give and not argue or anything because at least they put in the effort to cutting her hair. Ever since this experience, I have switched to another grooming salon. Took my 7 mo 13lbs mini goldendoodle in for a groom before she gets spayed later this week. Katherine took really great care of my Willow and she was able to meet all of my requests for grooming! It really was a stress-free environment -- normally Willow takes about 1.5hrs for grooming but Katherine took 2.5 hours, which says that she is taking time to make sure that pup is not stressed during the grooming process. They also had individual beds/rooms for dogs to hang out/wait for their parents to pick them up as well. When I picked her up, she was able to walk through with me with how the grooming session went (how my puppy did during grooming, what she did to meet my requests, etc). We took our 92 lb golden doodle to How Cute for the first time this week. The owners were lovely and welcoming and the business was clean and bright. Our dog is a very nervous one when getting groomed but he seemed curious and not quite as nervous as he usually is. The female owner made sure to ask me exactly what I wanted in his groom. I left and was told he would be ready in about 3 hours. I received a call 3 hours later to pick him up and was beyond happy with how he looked. It is evident that they are very skilled in grooming poodles/doodles. He also looked happy and he was clearly treated well. I love that the dogs are free to roam around while they wait for their owners. The price was beyond reasonable for this area at $120. The groomers are meticulous, friendly, and clearly love dogs and take great pride in their profession. I am looking forward to bringing him back for his every 5 week regular grooming. They did a good job with trimming, especially around the hind area. Pricing was transparent and it looked like they were busy. It took awhile to complete after dropping my dog off in the afternoon, so I'd say budget for about 4-5 hours. It was enough time that I was able to run a few errands and even head home for awhile. Cut looked good. My dog is usually anxious at the groomers and gets a Xanax beforehand.
