I've been going to this PetSmart for 3 1/2 years now and have never seen the manager that was supposed to help me find what I was looking for. I am motivated to write this review today because it is a pet peeve of mine for someone to waste my time and then justify it's okay because, "I'm not the only customer." * I visit the store to purchase 48 packs of a specific BFF flavored cat food. * There are only four packets on the shelf. * I walk around the store looking for help. I see no one. * I walked up to the cashier and asked if she could help me find out if there are any more of the product ? She said she will call someone to help. * She sent me back to that aisle and I wait for 10 minutes. * I go back to the front of the store and let her know no one ever came to help. She explains that's because he's here checking customers out. * I say OK I'll wait in line and ask him if he can help me. So I get in line and soon I'm next for checkout. * The cashier sees me and says the manager is waiting for you to help you. I let her know that I'm hesitant to get out of the line because it's really grown. But she insists she's the only one that can help me. So I stepped out of line to meet with her. * I show her the packet, just as I did the cashier. She scanned it in the PetSmart "phone". * It turns out they were out of stock. That happens that's not upsetting. (That step took 10 seconds). * I expressed my dissatisfaction for the inefficiency of the process of helping me find the product I'm looking for. I state, "If all employees had access to this "phone" to scan product it would've saved me 15 minutes. I also explained possibly more time because I just lost my place in line to get my question answer. * Her reply, " You're not the only customer here we have other customers to worry about!" * That's called gaslighting Ms. Manager! You don't have what it takes to manage the public. Your job is to help, to make things run more efficiently, to keep product stocked, and to make sure we have a decent experience. * My recommendation to you, Mr. Manager is be a better listener; take feedback as a way to improve not an opportunity to make someone feel uncomfortable. Think about the advice I've given which is to have every employee be able to answer the simple question of product availability.

They were genuinely excited -- not just about the dragons, but about seeing and learning about the animals overall. After we walked around for a bit, my youngest politely asked an employee if she could hold a bearded dragon. The employee responded, "Only if you're interested in buying one." I felt that was an inappropriate and dismissive way to speak to a 12-year-old who was clearly excited and potentially interested. I stepped in and asked what policy states that customers can only interact with animals if they are actively purchasing. If this is store policy, it would be helpful for it to be clearly communicated and explained in a more respectful way -- especially to children. We came in excited and left feeling discouraged. Now off the record? If that's the policy, fine. But delivery matters. You don't shut down a kid's curiosity like that. That's how you lose future customers.

I purchased what was advertised as an insulated outdoor cat house for an outdoor cat. Not only was I overcharged by $45, but the product I received was completely defective and unsafe. The structure had sharp, jagged edges, and I severely injured my hands while handling it. This is a serious safety hazard for both animals and people. My cat will not go inside it at all, which tells me everything I need to know about how unsafe and poorly constructed it is. An insulated outdoor shelter should provide protection and security, not danger. I immediately contacted Petco and provided all required documentation, including purchase date, delivery date, and clear proof of the defect. I also contacted corporate three separate times. Each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. Instead of taking responsibility, Petco told me to contact the manufacturer. That is unacceptable. I did not purchase this item from the manufacturer. Petco took my money, Petco sold the product, and Petco delivered it. Responsibility does not get passed off when a product is defective and dangerous. Petco claims to care about animal welfare, yet they sell unsafe products, overcharge customers, and then ignore serious safety complaints. This demonstrates a complete disregard for animals and for the people who care for them. I am posting this publicly so other customers are warned. If you value your pets and your safety, do not buy from Petco. If you want a company with outstanding customer service and accountability, buy from Chewy instead. The difference is night and day

Where did my Petgo?…read more This is the Petco on Wirt Road, and it's a little smaller and right next to a Kroger, and it's useful because it's right on the way home from the gym for me, so I come here now and again and will continue to do so, usually when there's a pet emergency because for regular pet stuff, Walmart or HEB or even some local stores are much cheaper than Petco and Petsmart. In any case. It works out well and I'll probably come here in future as well, although it's a little expensive. And by a little I mean a lot. They were wonderful for a return we had to do today so I'm increasing it.

It took about an hour and a half for my dog to be ready. Perfect timing to get some errands run. I've never seen my dog's hair cut so short, he looked completely different but it will grow back. He asked if I wanted the same cut as his sibling but she was with another groomer and she's a different breed. Decent place, good communication.
