Ginger is wonderful! I have a 13 yr. old (whom I've had for 1 yr.) mixed breed rescue pooch who looks pretty gnarly due to age(and lack of care by her original owners) But after a de-shed, nail file, brushed teeth...my adopted senior baby, "Lou" looks younger and happier. Her fur is much improved. I imagine she also feels more comfortable now as my daily brushing and sponge baths just weren't cutting it. I did forego the perfumes since dogs have a 50,000 times stronger sense of smell. I'm quite sure they don't like perfume. Looking forward to returning. read more

Just dropped in to get a harness for my cat, and I wanted to give employee Jessie a huge shout out. She saw my brother and I looking at a cat up for adoption and showed us how to open the cage to pet it. She even offered us her knee scooter to sit on, so the cat could climb on our lap. This is my go-to store when feeding my 2 dogs and 1 cat. They are helpful and offer an array of pet products. I spend thousands of dollars on my pets and appreciate ordering their food online and picking it up at Pet Supplies Plus. PSP staff notify me by email or a phone call if they are out of a product. They also attach a thank you note to my order when I pick it up. I also bathe my Lab-Beagle mix there. A+ store. read more

I can't believe this place only has three stars. When I came in a week ago they were so sweet! Their customer service was excellent event though I was not with my pet! I came in off a whim. I actually forgot to purchase what I really needed and got things that weren't on my list!! What a mess! Next time, I will stick to the pet's list of needs! To my defense, I was distracted by their cute table for Valentine's Day. Which if you entered you would receive a gift card here and they made cute goodie bags for my Bella! She was a happy pup after seeing those! She literally was jumping up and down when she saw the bags, I should have made her do a trick to get them but didn't! Such a spoiled pup! Back to the store, it's very clean and everything is very easy to find and locate from dog food to toys and treats. In the back of the store is the pet grooming area and fish tanks. Everything here is also within my budget, not too pricey for things like bones or doggie treats. I took my miniature poodle to this store on 12/30/16 for grooming. Two hours later I received a call to pick her up - this was problem #1 since it always takes 3-4 hours to groom her. I gave very simple and specific instructions, including showing a picture of how I wanted her to look. 1) IF she was bathed, she was not blow-dried - her fur looked like she jumped in a swimming pool and then dried 2) The poodle poms were removed from all 4 legs after I told her to trim and shape them 3) She has multiple mattes on her stomach 4) Her nails were long and not trimmed 5) One ear was longer than the other 5) her head had spots of long hair and other spots of short hair. This list is NOT comprehensive of all of the issues. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING! Horrific! They have a pretty good dog food selection, but they forget to remove sale signs from items and then won't honor the sale price. Be extra careful if you're buying something that you think is on sale. Today we got a rope toy that was $17.98 with a sign that said on sale for $11.98. The cashier asked us to show him the sign, and when we did, he took it off and said it was wrong and that sale had ended. We ended up returning the toy and heading down the road to Pet Valu and Mutt&Co to see what they have instead. We will probably buy dog food there still, when we forget to have it sent from Amazon. read more

I can understand family emergencies arise and need to be dealt with, but please do not lie to me. Funny how phones today can document incoming calls, voice mails, and texts. Let me preface this review by saying that I do not have a pet. I went in to get some dog collars for a Comic-Con costume. It is a relatively new store and seemed to have, from my limited knowledge, all of the necessities a pet owner would want. Plenty of toys, bedding, food, few tanks in the back with fish and other critters and all other things pet related. I was wandering around trying to find the collars when a nice sales person came up and asked if I needed assistance. I asked him where were the collars; I needed a specific kind and what they were for. He didn't blink an eye...that gives them an A-OK with me! read more

I was in this store a few days ago when they were having computer issues. I was the first customer after they resolved the issues and did not realize until I got home that they had charged me $18.98 for dog food that the customer in front of me had purchased. I called the store and the woman told me that she had no way of issuing me a refund over the phone and that I would have to come into the store. I told her that it would probably be two days until I could get back into the store to do that and she said it would be no problem. Today I went over to the store, explained the situation, and was told by the manager that he could not issue me a refund because he had no way to verify my story - I might be lying to him. I told him we were going to pick up our new puppy today, that we were not even going to use Science Diet (which was what was on my receipt), and that I had planned on buying a bag of Victor Professional. He still told me he could not issue me a refund because he could not believe my story. He did tell me I could come back on Sunday and the woman who was the cashier who made the mistake could verify my story. I'm getting a new puppy, I have 3 young boys at home, and really don't have a lot of time to keep coming back out to this store over a mistake they made. I will not be returning to this store. I love supporting local businesses and franchises, and they are the only store locally that carries Victor Professional, but insulting my integrity over $18.98 has caused this store to lose what could have been a very long-time customer. read more

I have come here on a few occasions because my dog has an extremely limited diet. I soon came to find out that they had vet clinic as well. I brought my dog to that to get his normal shots, and it was HORRIBLE. I received a note the next week saying he had heartworm, got extremely upset, then went to an actual vet ONLY to find out that he was negative all around. I'm not sure if the test got mixed up or what happened, but that cost me double because I had to have him re-tested. Still, I kept going back because of the great prices. After noticing some prim pups leaving the groomer, I decided to give that a try as well. Once again, BIG mistake. My dog was shaved, ONLY to his head. So he had a huge fluffy head and a shaved body. Looked ridiculous. I then had to take him to a different groomer to have them fix, once again, my poor and embarrassed pup. When I got to the new groomer, they informed me that she had missed MANY spots on his body, did not clip his toes, and did not clip the hair on the bottom of his feet, his tail, or his underbelly. So... needless to say the ONLY thing I would possibly go back for are the prices.... but there is a PetPeople right next door that is willing to honor the same specials. read more

This Pet Supplies plus carries my brand of cat food, Earthborne. None of the competitors I've been to carry it. The staff is always helpful and greet me at the door, and I love seeing the shelter kitties, who are not locked in cages, but instead on harnesses and leashes (with the option of being in their open-doored cages). One of them was hanging out in her cage, the other was laying on the three level cat tower the store provided her with. read more

This store is a hot mess. The employees are being led by an awful manager who clearly doesn't care about anything other than making himself look good. Every time my husband and I have come in, the employees do their best to make us feel welcome and answer our questions to the best of their abilities. I don't get that same effort and knowledge from the store manager. I came in a few days ago before I went into work to get some guinea pig food, and the manager gave me attitude when I asked when my specific guinea pig food would be back in the store. This store has seemed to be going down since a year ago. We will not be back in this store. This store needs a new manager to get their business back up. read more

Staff is always helpful and thoughtful. We go there about twice a month but they always remember us and our pets. They make sure to take care of the customer, whether they are two or four legged. Good supply of all goods given we have a fish, large dog and a guinea pig. Guinea pig was purchased there and they were very helpful in making that transition. read more
