The first 5min…read moremy cat got behind the counter where there was a small gap between the fridge and cabinet, we had to pull out the fridge so I could crawl behind and get her. They should never have had a hole big enough for any animal to crawl behind. Bonnie (cat) had had some health issues and had been cleared by my reg vet for surgery, Dr.Robinson, said that she would call the vet just to check any issues which was reassuring but no way for me to know if this call happened. They read all of the options for spaying & assured me that the cheapest option was perfectly safe. I was talked out of extra medical assistance beside extra pain meds because they typically dont have issues with healthy young cats,they knew her previous medical issues. At 1pm I received a call from Dr. Robinson informing me that after they had put her under with the anesthetic and made the incision that Bonnie's heart stopped. She gave me the medical information and said that Bonnie was still asleep and had a breathing tube. They did not request me to come in which I assumed was an okay sign. At 2:30 Dr. Robinson called me again to let me know that Bonnie was awake and breathing on her own and that she would just like to monitor her for a few hours just in case but that I could pick her up to go home at 6pm that night. These again sounded reassuring because otherwise theyd keep her overnight, right? WRONG! When I got there they said I wouldn't have to pay anything (never a good sign).Dr. Robinson came in first without Bonnie to let me know that she was now blind and may never recover her eyesight. A small price for her life. I am told that they have no clue what the repercussions of her brain being without air for so long will be in the long run, she told me that they had not seen her walk since she woke up and that she may be "a bit wobbly" and that I "am not taking home the same cat I brought in this morning". She went and got Bonnie and brought her out in her carrier. This cat was barely responsive, her eyes rolled back in her head so that she looked dead, they assured me that was fine. I asked about food/water and she told me to monitor water in case she drowns in her bowl but that she would probably just sleep all night. Dr. said that she would like to see us back in a week for a check up (I took this as a good sign that my cat would still be alive in a week). This was the only info I received. No emergency vet info or # to call if something happened, no pain meds. Half way home Bonnie had her first of many seizures but I didn't realize what it was yet. I got Bonnie home and took her out of her carrier to realize that she was not "wobbly" but paralyzed. She peed all over the floor after trying and failing to get to the litter box as she screamed the worst scream you can imagine & flailed around on the floor. I called the vet but in the time it took me to get home they had closed. We got her situated on the floor with blankets to make her comfy and a bed on the floor for me. At around 1am she started seizing uncontrollably, I called my mom to take us to the hospital. While she was on her way I was googling open animal hospitals in the area. We raced to the MedVet where they ran tests for the next 2 hours before letting me know that there wasn't much they could do and we made the decision to put her down at 4am 12/13. Dr. Robinson didnt send me home with a blind, wobbly cat that she would see in a week, she sent me home with a paralyzed cat that could never survive the next 24hrs and would suffer the next 10 hours. She dodged my mothers calls for the next two days. We insisted they pay my MedVet bills which they quickly agreed to do, a sign they knew they messed up. I will never know if this was a freak reaction to the meds or over medication during anaesthesia but how it was handled was unforgivable.I want to prevent anyone else from having to live through this trauma, please save yourself the possible heartache and take your baby somewhere safe.

One of our dogs, who is prone to ear infections, had a flare up and Marlyn thankfully managed to treat it. Bruno is also such a sweetheart and my 2 small dogs got along with him just fine. Would highly recommend Marlyn as a dogsitter! I'm sure we will be hiring her again for future sitting needs.

Today was our first time going to Jen's. We have used another groomer in town for almost 4 years,…read moreuntil our dog Maisey started acting fearful. When it got worse at the next visit, we had to make a change. With the pandemic shutting down groomers for a while, I trimmed her at home a few times, and now seemed like a good time to try sometime new to get her looking her best again. Taylor met us at our car, and took Maisey in with her. There was minimal paperwork to fill out. She was very pleasant and professional. After much less time than I am used to, she called to tell me Maisey was done. The only real complaint I have is that picking her up was a mess. Nobody answered the phone or the doorbell (not counting a bunch of barking dogs). On my fourth try, I got someone. Still nobody came out. Finally, someone noticed the barking sofa and came to the front door. Shortly after she went back inside, Taylor brought Maisey out. She looks beautiful, and was very happy. Her nails look like the grinding was a bit rushed, but she hates having her feet touched. Taylor was worried the cut might be too long, but it was much shorter than we're used to. With the hot weather, I had requested exactly what she gave us. Maisey seemed to have enjoyed her time there, including some play time with Taylor's dog. Payment was handled over the phone, and was less than I had been paying. We're very happy with Taylor, and will be returning for all our grooming needs in the future.

When we aren't boarding with Top Dog, Bogey & Chloe go to doggie daycare at Top Dog a couple times a week, they get so excited on the mornings, when we tell them their going to see their friends. They have a very unique approach to doggie daycare. No cages! I was concerned at first until I saw how Christie and her staff gradually introduced other dogs to Arnold and were very aware of behaviors. I watched from a tv monitor in the lobby area. Next thing I know there are 5-7 dogs with Arnold and he was loving it. They let the dogs spend hours together the first day and today he was there a full day. I'll be boarding him overnight Friday and Saturday. The staff is very attentive to all the dogs and know how to redirect if playing gets a little escalated. Today I was working and was able to check on Arnold from my phone, watching the cams in all of the rooms. I love that he can play all day instead of being caged for 2/3 of his stay. I highly recommend CRAM to anyone who has a socialized dog, to treat them to a real play day or two. I look forward to using them more in the future!

Today I took my dog to be groomed and get a summer cut....I told the girl who took him back, "do…read morenot cut his ears length" she nodded ok, A couple of hours later I received a call "I am so sorry I did not see the note regarding Charlie's ears" of course they are extremely short; this is a shiatzu; I would think a dog groomer would know not to do that. common sense....of course I flipped out when I got him. They were waiting for me to keep apologizing however when someone messes up your dog, there is no apology that will work, you are furious which I was. Did I flip out? Yes.....more than I would any other time, after hair grows back. The comments from the groomer were what really set me off see below 'the jokes on you....I've groomed ur dog before and you loved it" "like I said I'm sorry.... lol....okay maam These were her responses to me, verbatim. So for me to be extremely angry when I picked him up is an understatement. Now they will come back and say, I was outraged.....I was....I used profanity.......absolutely mainly because they could care less that I was extremely upset over the exact thing I had asked the not to do. I guess at the end of the day I should have known better to take him to a groomer I did not have any history with. As I was checking our mini golden in another dog came in behind us and took a poop in the floor and no one came to clean it. I remember thinking that poor baby might be sick and probably shouldn't be here. Fast forward a couple days and they began calling my emergency contact because our little girl was sick with something intestinal! I thought it was just related to the food they were giving her since it was a different brand. Our emergency contact lived 3 hours away and we were on a cruise. So she decided to wait until next day and if it wasn't better she would go get her. After a trip to vet we found out it wasn't food related but an intestinal virus that she caught and now she passed it on to her little dog that got very sick. After vet bills, paying for them to board, and expenses of emergency contact I spent more on our pooch than our cruise. I would not recommend using this place. I wish I would have gone with my gut when I saw the other dog poop. Needless to say, I'll be looking at a different option for boarding in the future.

So my wife and I decided to take a long overdue vacation we have recently lost our 13 year old…read morebeagle, we didn't want to leave her being so old and her health was not good. So once she passed we booked a vacation so we boarded our 2 dogs, they have never been seperated as they have been best buddies from the start, so my wife booked the biggest kennel so they could be kept together, she dropped them off separately since we have a smaller car and the boys are larger. So since she set it up as keep them together no worries right? WRONG the next morning (Friday) we get a call as we are driving to Florida, that they found some blood in our labs stool, he was eating and drinking so maybe a little stress, so we continue and say keep an eye and call the vet if things get worse, the next morning we get a call we are in Georgia, they call to tell us they found our german shepherd was found dead in the kennel, they said his stomach was blotted so a twisted stomach, we were devastated, so we call our vet to take care of the cremation of our boy he was 9 years old, in good health he was a sensitive boy, we thought wow things happen but there was no signs of any issues with him, so we ask how our lab was doing they say he is doing well and they will move him up front and give him more attention, well I call later to check on him and find they didn't keep the boys in the same kennel! So our poor boy died alone and his best buddy never knew he died or could have closur, we come home 3 days early we have to ask to have our lab moved to a kennel with a camera so we could check on him. We get back pick up our lab, my wife talks with the manger she explains how pissed she is since we asked for certain things to happen and it didn't which the extra stress could have cause some of our German shepherds issue and could have lead to his death, we are not saying this is the cause of it but it didn't help. The boys were not even close so they couldn't see each other. The manger tells my wife he understands!! NO you don't understand I wanted to know how this happens that we booked this with specific details and that doesn't happen! He said we was going to check into this and deal with it, which this happened 4 days ago and you still don't know, that's BS! I think he thought since they didn't charge us and they paid for the cremation, they were off the hook, my lab is home not understanding where is buddy is and never got to say goodbye and our boy died alone, all because they couldn't follow direction!
