The store was clean and organized. The store was well stocked. The employees were nice and helpful.

Our elderly dog took a turn for the worse on Saturday evening. She was terminally ill. Of course nothing would be open until Monday and we didn't want her to suffer that long. We called ahead and we were taken inside promptly. Every person we spoke with treated us with compassion and empathy. It was a sad moment for all of us but they explained everything clearly and took care of her with great care and kindness. read more

I understand that business "chains" truly do not care about reviews. They care more about the bottom dollar at the end of the day. But I hope to save another Racine County resident the headache that I just had to go through due to their lack of self awareness. This goes back a few months. I brought my two dogs, one for a groom and one for just a nail trim. At that time I brought in their updated paperwork for their rabies shots. I remember the day clearly because a groomer CUT a dog on the back leg. The manager told the groomer to call their vet and to call the owner. Fast forward to today. I brought my dogs in and was told that I needed to show the paperwork for their rabies. I was told the groomer (she has a nose piercing) that I brought in that paperwork the last time I was there. She said well we can't see the dogs - I asked if I could bring it in when I picked them up. She said that I knew about needing to bring the paperwork from the text message they sent that i confirmed. I pulled up the text (I will post it below). I asked why was not not aware that their employer never put in the updated rabies paperwork? Better yet, call me to inform me that it was needing to be updated and to bring paperwork in. The groomer told me that, that was not her job and that I should have know that from the vet. They never took responsibility for them dropping the ball. I should have walked away when I saw the groomer cut the dog but I definitely have learned my lesson now. Stay with SMALL BUSINESS!! Thankfully a local company can get our dogs in Wednesday! I would like to share the experience I had today 3/6/2021 After spending the morning at the dog park, my husband and I brought my miniature dachshund and great dane puppy in for some pampering and a wash. The young lady who rang us up was very pleasant and kind. We bought the 5 pack self wash card, like we have many times. We brought both our dogs back to the self wash stations. I put my miniature dachshund in the middle tub because it was higher up and my husband was using the one to my right for our other dog, because he's taller. while this was going on a third person entered and used the tub to my left. After washing my doxie and towel drying her. I noticed there was no hose coming out of the wall to dry her. At this time my husband had to try and keep both our dogs from jumping out of the tub and injuring themselves, while I ran to the other side to ask the groomers if they had a hose. A groomer who I was told was named Lisa preceded to scold me and told me that three people shouldn't be back there. I explained that there was no sign posted and we were there before the third person even entered. I told her a sign would have been helpful, explaining the 3 person rule, and the lack of dryer hose. I explained my dog who's already nervous, was sitting in the tub shaking because she is cold and wet and the noises scare her. She was very condescending, shrugged her shoulders and said there was nothing she could do. There was no empathy or compassion. She was not only extremely rude , but concerning as well. If she was this insensitive to my face, I could only imagine how she treats dogs when they are alone and nobody's watching. I then had to carry my wet shaking dog to the front of the store and ask for a managers help. A very kind young lady profusely apologized and tried to rectify the situation. however there was not much she could do, which was understandable. while I was up front with her, the groomer then entered the self wash area with a dog she was working on, breaking the same 3 person rule that she just got done scolding me about. she then spent the entire time saying horrible things about me, not knowing my husband was right next to her washing our other dog. My husband then meat me at the front of the store and told the manager what he just heard this groomer saying. I then went to finish drying my dog, who by now was shaking so hard that she was whimpering. when I returned to the self wash area, the groomer was still there and proceeded to blame the girls who work up front, saying it was a lack of communication. At this point I couldn't even look at her without feeling sick and left, taking my wet shaking dog home to dry her off. With this being said. I will not be returning if this groomer is still employed at this location. There are other buissness in the Racine area close by that offer self serve pet wash. The irony is that I have always had a pleasant experience at this loc ation. I shop for both my dogs, fish and purchase the 5 pack pet washes here often. the rest of the staff have always been extremely polite. lastly, I'm genuinely concerned for the safety and well-being of the dogs in her care. like I previously stated, if she was this insensitive to my dog at the time, I could only imagine how she conducts herself with other people's dogs behind closed doors. read more

Stopped to pick up a bag of dog food. Team member Zea was at the register, 1 custom I'm front of me . She asked Zea a question who asked another team member to assist her. Instead of checking me out, 1 bag of food, she chose to scan the items in the cart for the customer who walked away. Zea then asked another team member to jump on the next register, I'm a very disrespectful way, he walked away. At this point I asked Zea if she could just avoid the transaction and check me out, which she replied "I wouldn't want her to came back and have to wait" I have shopped here many times and never witnessed such service. Zea could use some additional training on how to treat both customers AND co-workers. I actually do not blame the team member for walking away after the way she talked to him. read more

I opened my e-mails yesterday January 2nd and had a e-mail message from Pets Supply Plus It was a e-mail receipt for two purchases of dog treats. The problem is I wasn't in the store to purchase anything that day. Someone must have made a purchase in the store with a credit card I do not own that my e-mail got connected to. Or is it possible their e-mail system was breached and the e-mail I received was a phishing e-mail I went to store and explained situation to store manager. She had no concrete explanation on how this happened. She said it could have been a computer glitch or maybe the employee mistakenly connected my e-mail address to this store purchase. I also contacted their customer service no. and did not get the answers I was looking for that would put my mind to ease to if there was anything like a fraudulent credit card purchase in my name or if it was a phishing e-mail. Pet Supply Plus Customer service said they would investigate this issue further and follow up later in the day with me. I never got the return call back from customer service I was hoping for with answers to my questions about this incident. read more

I had ordered my cat food for curbside pickup at 10;15 I arrived at the store at 3;45 pm to pick up my order and they had not even pulled the items for my order. I had to wait for 20 minutes for them to proceed to do my order. When they did they found that the items I had ordered and already paid for were no longer on the shelves because someone else purchased them because they did not fulfill my order when they should have. My dog had justed gotten out of ICU on Friday, and I brought him in on Tuesday for a bath/conditioner as our last experience was pleasant. They were not going to cut his nails, but did anyway, and I heard him help real loud from back room. I asked them what happened, they (Josie) lied, and said it was from the blow dry, which I knew was untrue. He vomited 3 times on the way home, and was shaking. I discovered him chewing on his nails, which are way too short, and one was bleeding. They lied, and omitted the nail trim on invoice. Ben, supposed assistant manager is a joke. They quoted me the wrong price, then lied about why my dog yelped so loud. I am one of their best and most loyal customers, I "was" I even reminded them twice that he is in a very fragile state. He wouldn't eat, so I was scared regarding his insulin, even made a vet appt. Josie mishandled him, injured him, and then lied about it! read more

At about 6:20 pm on the 19th of February I was in the store in Racine. The groomer Miss handled a dog and was screaming at the dog. The groomer was a short female with long black hair normally in a ponytail. This is completely unacceptable and it was not even my dog. I should have waited for the owners of the dog. read more

Love the new upgrade with the do it yourself dog wash - the only thing is the water wasn't warm enough for me. Kinda on the cool side. Otherwise the 5/$25 was card is awesome. All is provided for you. Except brush - be sure to bring one. 4 stars only due to water temp. Otherwise 5 stars. read more
