Thr groomer nicked my dog, which I understand happens, however we were not informed if this until I called to investigate after seeing blood when I got home. His tail was not groomed at all, even though it was specifically requested. His nails weren't trimmed as they claimed to be. Furthermore, when I called to speak to a manager to investigate what happened while my dog was in the care of the team at Central Bark Kenosha, he was rude and unprofessional. And when I said such, and gave my concerns, the response I got, very aggressively, was "Well I'm having a bad day". You're the manager of a whole team, that deals with dogs and their owners. I get bad days, but you absolutely DO NOT get to take it out on your clients that are calling with legit concerns! I was then hung up on. The best daycare I could have found for my pup! The staff is friendly, they remember every dogs by name, greet them by it and say bye as well. My dog was older and his first time ever in daycare and he can't get enough of it. It's also helped him tremendously with his anxiety that even the vet and many other methods couldn't do for him. Our sweet Bentley is so stubborn- since my husband and I have moved here we have had difficulty opening up to new places and this place has always treated us so kindly and I love how personable they are! they all know Bentley and seem to be very aware of his likes and dislikes and do SO well with him! I also want to add that the owner will literally go above and beyond for any of his customers- we've always felt comfortable going there because he listens and truly cares about the dogs! I was so worried my little dachshund was going to be overwhelmed and have anxiety when coming here. Turns out he absolutely loved it and got along with the dogs his size! The staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease leaving him there while I was at work. They even let me call during my lunch hour to see how he was doing. (I over react a bit since he is my fur baby). He will now be going at least once a week to get his energy out and socialize! When we got home he went straight to bed and took a nap! We Central Bark Kenosha! Affectionately referred to as "puppy play time" in our house, Chewie is always excited to go! You can tell he loves the staff, and it's clear how much they care for the dogs, too. We love that he has a safe place to go, exercise and snuggle with people instead of being home alone all day, where he would chew us out of house and home! Central Bark has even come to my rescue on a particular morning when Chewie decided to dig a huge, muddy hole right before we needed to leave! I have to tell you that it took us awhile to write this review because we're not in the business of writing bad reviews but with so much that's going on people need to be aware of the true feelings or lack there of as it pertains to treating everyone equally. Well... I will just give you the facts as to what happened and allow you to make your own decisions. If your a person of color I would think twice before doing business with this establishment. This is what happened to me, or rather my husband. My husband (who happens to be black) went to pick up our dog that on the 3 other occasions I had been the one to drop off & pick up. THIS time I dropped her off & he was picking her up. Upon walking through the door the lady behind the counter looked up and with out hesitation said "the employment/staffing agency is next door". What's more... the owner was kneeling with the technician & a dog, witnessed and heard the whole thing and proceeded to say NOTHING except "he is here for the doberman". I am extremely happy and pleased with the doggy day care at Central Bark Kenosha. My dog loves all the staff there (I do too!) and comes home so tired he has to go take a nap right away. They have indoor and outdoor areas, lots of enrichment objects for the pups, & they post tons of pictures online every single day...it's always fun to look for your dog in them! The staff is amazing (special shout out to Jenn, Angie, Ally & Brandon) and gives so much personalized attention to not only the dogs, but to the owners as well. Our dog has been attending Central Bark Doggie daycare since he came home to us at 9 weeks old. He has a terrific time there, comes home totally exhausted and wanting just a belly rub and nap. The staff (including the new ownership) take a real interest in their charges health, safety and fun. On hot days there is plenty of pool time and shade to keep the pups from overheating. They work with pup parents to ensure any special needs are taken care of, and have a deep love of the pups in their care. Monthly "report cards" give you a feel for what your dog has been up to. And the Facebook pictures give you a chance to see the fun. Otis loves his daycare days and the ability to go play with his friends. Sleepovers (boarding) keep the dogs in the daycare routine and in familiar surroundings which keep them more comfortable. Otis loves his sleep overs. read more

By far the best doggy daycare ever!!! The staff are great and they are absolutely wonderful with the dogs and their owners. I was a first time dog owner and if not for them I would have been lost. The prices are terrific and well worth what you receive (7:00am-6:30pm Mon-Fri & Sleepovers). They have a scheduled day for the dog that has not only helped him there, but also helped him at home. My dog was even easier to house-break because of the pack-like atmosphere. They even have a facebook site that you are able to look and see the pictures for the day. Any doubts that I might have had about doggy daycare vanished the first day I saw pictures of my dog running, playing, and getting to know the staff. He was even able to reunite with another dog that he was in a foster home with from another state.I can't sing loud enough the praises I have for this company and its staff. My Beagle has been going to Central Bark in Kenosha since he was a pup. Seven years later, he still looks forward to going every week. They divide the dogs into two groups: low and high energy. I've been told that my Beagle vacillates between the two groups depending on how he feels that day. That's how well the staff knows my dog and the many others that have grown up with them.
