Even though it is out my way, this is my go to for dog food. Great online offers, competitive pricing, the best customer service. Employees are always helpful, offering to carry my huge bag of food to my car. I stopped in here on a whim to see if they had any pet mice. They had some hamsters, and some frogs, jumping spiders, reptiles, and birds, but no mice. When I asked one of the employees, they did give me a recommendation to another store in the area that they had personally seen fancy mice at, and that turned out to be awesome because I did find a fancy pet mouse at the other shop. That said, this store has some really awesome stuff as well. In particular, I loved the giant assortment of super pretty dog treats shaped like donuts and cookies. I also thought it was incredibly cute that their pets for sale each had names. It felt like the store paid attention to each pet individually. don't ever take your dog here to get groomed I've been going to Nick one of the groomers for years with my dog pearl on Saturday night. Her appointment was at 5 to 7 PM. My mom went to go pick her up when she picked her up. She wasn't herself my mom thought she was tired. She wasn't reacting to her toys. She wasn't reacting to retreats and that was very concerning because my dog has always been a hyper and energetic dog. Then when I came home from work, I get a call from my mom crying that my dog is barely walking. She's been acting like this for hours since she got picked up from the groomers. I know my dog more than anybody I freaked out because that's my family rushed home took her to the emergency. Turns out they sprained her neck. The next day, my mom notified what happened to the managers. They said they'll look into it and they apologized. They had the audacity to say nothing happened to my mom if nothing happened then why is my dog severely injured? She has to go through red lighting and can barely walk. I am beyond pissed don't ever take your dog here to get groomed if you want them to get hurt or injured severely. read more

I LOVE the management and every single employee I met here. Just amazing, with a small town, friendly feel. It isn't overwhelming like some places. I rescued two severly neglected chained up dogs in a junkyard in South LA. They were young dogs but had never had baths. Attempting to give them a bath at home was a nightmare. I spoke with the managers who GENEROUSLY loaned me use of their grooming station after hearing their story. The whole store was EXTREMELY KIND AND COMPASSIONATE about these 2 poor souls and the hard life they lived. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AND THEIR WELFARE HERE. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facility is large, clean and beautiful. One beautiful employee named Elk went above and beyond by coming to help me bath the male when she had some free time. He turned out to be beyond terrified of the water hosea and blowers and it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to bathe him without her voluntary help. I can't thank her enough. Such an amazing , bright, kind aoul! I cannot thank them enough for helping these two unfortunate dogs and helping to give them a better life for once. It would be impossible to get them adopted without baths. The male was so impacted with grease, old clumps hairs, and dirt that he was always hot and panting. He is now breathing normally and his fur is not like woolens dirty clumps. Everyone here cares. They're professional and corteous and helpful. It's not impersonal like big chain stores like petco. We just took our two labs for a wash and had a nice smooth experience. The staff were really helpful. They supply the shampoo and towels all you have to do is bring your dog and a brush. Their blow dryer is nice because it isn't too loud and didn't scare out dogs. Also take advantage of buying a card for multiple washes to save you money. We first discovered PSP when we moved to Valencia in 2020 and loved it. The store has amazing prices, is always clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It has the vibes of a small local store with the selection of a bigger store (but with even better brands) The dog training classes offered there are one of a kind. Having the ability to come and go and pay per class is awesome. Additionally, being able to pick up recommendations from the trainer right there is so convenient. In 2023 we moved back to the SFV and PSP is one of the few places we desperate miss. We've recently started driving back out on weekends for the dog training and end up spending money picking up pet supplies there rather than our local Petco. read more

Run ! Don't walk away from this horrible business. My mom (86 years old) took her beloved dog, Charlie to get groomed by NICK 2 days ago. This is what went down : My mom dropped Charlie off at 11:00, healthy and happy. She gets a call, 2 hours later from Nick (groomer) telling her he realized after he starting blow drying, that in fact Charlie was full of fleas and will need a second bath at a cost ! Isn't Charlie doesn't, hasn't and NEVER will have fleas (we take care of our dogs). After the second unneeded bath, Charlie went into shock from stress and had a SEIZURE ! Not one but two. The 'manager ' told her people to take Charlie to some veterinarian My mom told them to take her dog up the road to the Pet Emergency Hospital on The Old Road (3 minutes away from them). So they did. I met my sobbing mother at the Emergency Vet Hospital and we were met with the Vet and he said that Charlie having seizures coming from this business is nothing new. That there have been 6 other cases that included dogs having seizures. The Vet was very concerned about Charlie's blood work and wanted to keep Charlie for 6 hours more hours, to the tune of $2000. My poor mom turned to the manger of the business and asked if PET SUPPLIES PLUS STEVENSON RANCH are taking responsibility for anything and the manger smuggly said 'No, we don't do that here. I have only written two reviews, both positive. Today...Pet Supplies Minus. Tried to make an appointment with Nick one of the groomers who has groomed my dog since 2023. When I called yesterday for an appointmenthe had an opening Thursday and agreed to book it....was told there was was a message in the computer "not to book future appointments ". I called today to find out why and Nick told me we weren't a good fit after two years. I asked why, trying to understand, and he hung up on me. I have referred several friends and a customer since they opened in 2020. Have never been so insulted. I do a lot of volunteering and worked my whole life in customer service. You can get your dogs trained there with special classes, they have groomers in the store, and a pet washing station. Every now and then they have vets onsite to see your pets for shots or other general services. My partner and I adopted our first cat in March of this year and being first-time cat owners, we always want to provide our cat with the best quality food. Sure, we can always stop by Petsmart or Petco, which are probably two of the major pet supply stores in America, but we like to try out different pet supply stores from time to time. I currently work in Valencia, which is about a 10-15 minute drive from Pet Supplies Plus. I sometimes make a stop here during my lunch break whenever I need to stock up on cat supplies. The store is located in a busy shopping plaza next to an Old Navy and a Five Below. The inside is clean and quite spacious and is stocked with some pretty good pet food and supply brands. This location sells the Wellness brand cat food, which was recommended to us when we picked up our cat from the adoption agency. So my first time in the store I went in to buy a few supplies and probiotics for the pups. So this is for the store I give it 5 stars since the staff was very helpful. However, I was so disappointed with how the grooming department handled my situation. I booked an appt on Friday for Sunday. This is my first time I even got asked for proof of Rabies vaccination, (which I had on hand with what I had at home). When I went in for my appointment. I was told I needed to reschedule because it was expired. I said he has had a current vaccination shots, but the vet was willing to have me pick up those records on Monday since they are closed over the weekend. I got flustered and upset (threw the F bomb out there and said it's not like the dog is not vaccinated and I would have canceled my appointment and rescheduled otherwise if I knew he wasn't). Not only did I waste my day and drive all the way across town, I was now upset. So needless to say this location (just for grooming) lost my business overall. So how can this business improve for future customers?? If it is required by law and is a hard rule to book a grooming appointment here for all first time guest, please get proof of vaccinations before even scheduling and not ask to bring on the day of. As someone who works for a healthcare provider we do not schedule unless we have proof of insurance first. To have to be told to reschedule and turned away really did suck. But on a positive note I was able to find a mobile groomer who would be willing to accommodate both my babies. And yes!! She will have copies of my current vaccinations ;) it was just unfortunate I didn't have the correct copies at home and I can't control a vets hours of operation. Please do NOTE: this is not intended to have people not get any grooming done here. I'm sure they do a great job. Just be aware of what you records you need here prior to scheduling. The cashier was very pleasant. The live animal expert was amazing and so knowledgeable. I recently got two hatchling RES turtles and they were not eating. They have been hiding in their shells and were sluggish. She instantly knew what to do and recommended a few items. I purchased them all hoping something would work. With in minutes of giving the turtles their food, they were gobbling it up! By the end of the evening they were basking on their dock and swimming around the tank. You just earned a loyal customer. Yesterday I had my second visit to Pet Supplies Plus. I had forgotten how friendly and helpful the staff were until I arrived at the store with my husband and toddler in tow. We were looking for some fish for a new tank. We were helped by the most amazing employee, I didn't catch her name, but she was so knowledgeable about the fish and helped us pick hearty ones to start out our tank. I learned so much and got so many helpful tips on what to do and not do. The fish were also all so beautiful and the tanks were spotless. Such a huge change from the other local pet stores.
