POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT Cadence and another female associate who was not wearing her name badge refused to give me any more than 100 each size of their crickets. They said that they needed them to feed their animals and wouldn't get any more in until next Friday (that's over a week!!). They can get more crickets in over night and should be able to provide the customer what they need if they have the stock (which they did). read more

Stolen Min Schnauzer My dog was stolen. I found the person who has my dog. I contacted the police. The police stated the woman said Petco called her to pick up the dog. I spoke to the General Manager this morning, and she stated Petco would never give someone's animal to another person. Can someone from Petco Corporate Office please explain to me why Petco gave my dog to someone it did not belong to instead of turning it over to the local animal control? read more

Petco has a huge variety of brands and products for your pets. It also offers numerous pet services, making it an essential store when you have a pet. Its an awesome store in almost every sense. You can tell the staff loves their job. I enjoy going because my pets are welcome and then I get super happy buying stuff.. and $120 later I am like Ooops. Yes, the store is amazing but a bit pricey too. Quality and Happiness does have a price. read more

It's unfortunate that i prefer Petsmart over Petco simply for the fact that Petsmart has the prescription food i need. I live just a stone's throw away from Petco and it was super convenient to go there for advice whenever my husband and i rescue an animal. I find Petco to be like the Wholefoods version of grocery shopping for my cats so i will almost never buy anything from here unless theres some kind of crazy awesome clearance item, like a pooper scooper or toy. Thats about it lol. Otherwise, i find everything to be that much pricier. Really awesome customer service thpugh and the store presentation is always well kept. I also wish we could play with the cats better but again, not unless you are fixing to adopt can you even take them out of their misery boxes to play with them. Mehhh read more

We used to always go to PETCO when we were still living in NE. So when we moved to the west side we thought of just doing the service there still even if it's a bit far. When we arrived, the one who received us was so nice asked our baby's history and record and found the record as well in the system. She asked for any medical history for my dog,then went inside. So another lady came out and was ready to take my baby and asked again for the history and I mentioned to her again that my dog has epilepsy but controlled with meds. My dog is quiet, doesn't bark and was never aggressive. Then all of a sudden she mentioned that PETCO doesn't accept dogs with seizures anymore. I was shocked and told her that the lady before knew that my dog has episodes but never mentioned anything. Plus we used to go there always as I told her. She called her manager and her manager enumerated to me that no bath was done before just nail trim and buffing. I said it doesn't matter, my baby was catered before why can't they cater him now? She said they had a new policy for a year now not to accept dogs with seizures which is ridiculous because the last time I was there was less than a year ago and I never had issue. She felt sorry for us and told us that it's the new policy that she has many clients that stopped going coz of the new policy. I was so disappointed because this is the first time my furbaby has been discriminated because of his condition. I walked away because I will not let them handle him anyway, not after this. It's sad that just because one groomer is uncomfortable in dealing with seizure everything would change. read more

I use El Paso's Northeast Petco's grooming services for my Shih Tzu puppy and so far I'm very pleased with the results. He leaves there a happy puppy and looks so handsome after being groomed. The stylist gives you a rundown of the services performed and how your pet handled the process. The reason I give 4 stars is just do to the time it took. This last visit took the 4 hours and well it's just a waiting game, but I've been told that most groomers take as long. I honestly wouldn't be able to compare. read more

I can't support this store anymore, we have had four terrible experiences with their cashier Tina. We have gotten her as our cashier every time, and all FOUR times she overcharged us and we had to go back and get it sorted. I have worked in the retail industry, I under stand mistakes get made, but four times in a row?? This last time she over charged us $64 and just like the last times, she blamed it on the computer. Another employee had to fix our transaction and was very kind to us, he said this kind of thing happens all the time with her. It's not worth dealing with her, we will be making the longer drive to Petsmart. read more

Our dog broke her nail, and in an emergency we needed something to help stop her bleeding. But it was late and we were worried we might not make it before they closed. Thankfully we called and the associate Brianna was amazing, not only did she keep the store open for us (for a few minutes after they closed), but she also had the items we needed at the front for us when we arrived. We were in and out within 2 minutes, and thankfully our puppy's paw is no longer bleeding. They were so helpful and amazing, will definitely be returning for any more pet needs. read more

I truly went to this location just for grooming and to see if they carried a certain food I seen online. When going over the the grooming section there were two groomers but neither of them acknowledged me. So I continued to wait...and wait. So I then walked away and then came back and again the lady looked but didn't even come over to see what I needed. By this point I am getting pretty irritated but I stayed patient. Finally one of the ladies came out and got straight on the phone and tried to talk to us in between but while I was talking she cut me off to speak again on the phone. At this point I was ready to walk out because I can't stand bad customer service. So she goes to just start talking after the phone situation and no apology. We wanted to get our dogs ears shaved but somehow the rabies shot date wasn't showing and even though his tag shows 2016 she stated she couldn't take him so I respected that and left. They could get a better rating if the next time I receive better customer service. read more

I was trying to buy fish but the guy in aquatics said he didn't know much about freshwater. That was one. Another time I told the lady I needed fish while she was at the register she said "I'll be right there". Five minutes later i walked out with no fish. Last week I went there and the tanks looked terrible dead fish everywhere and nasty dirty tanks. I told the manager she said excuses like she was short staffed. Those tanks took days to get that nasty. Don't go here go to the basset one girl in aquatics is great. read more

Absolulty loved it. Ladies are extremely nice and caring . I would get calls to new me updated on my dogs status. Also I like that they require documentation on the vaccines,they don't just allow the tags. So knowing that, it easied my nerves of leaving my dog. All the groomers do a wonderful job, regardless of who you pick as your groomer. They all have their own style. I've never had issues with the haircut . Took my dog in for grooming at 10:15 am 10/29/16, while speaking to one of the persons in the grooming section I informed of the corrections needed for my cell phone. I did not receive a phone and decided to go check on my dog. I was informed by the person working in the grooming section that the equipment was down and my dog had not been groomed. I informed her what phone number did they try to contact me at, it was clear that my cell number had not been updated. The person assisting me was very apologetic and informed that she would talk to the manager for the discount. I thanked her for her assistance. The manager on duty came to speak to me and was not able to quote the amount of a discount which leads me to believe that the manager is unable to make a decision. The person who assisted me when I picked up my dog appeared to be sincere and empathic. My dog was kept in a kennel from 10:15 am to 4:30 pm which is a total of 6 hrs and 15 minutes. I informed the manager that the error was unacceptable. When I took my dog outside she had to go to the bathroom. I have an appointment scheduled to give petco a 2nd chance. I would also add that I'm a disabled vet and my dog is detrimental to my rehab process. I also purchase many items for my dog at the new petco in North East, El Paso. I am willing to give petco another chance. read more

Never buy anything from and NEVER return anything here. Their policy online says it is simple but I have gone through a headache. I am trying not to make this a rant, instead I am trying to help any future customer that has a similar experience to me. I had originally bought a crate for my dog but when I got home and set it up the crate was bent and dirty as if it was returned before and just put back in a box and taped up. Usually I would not buy something that was re taped but it was the only one left. So after I discovered it was broken I packed it back up and lugged it to the store. I wanted to just do an exchange for a different crate and possibly larger so my dog can have more wiggle room. When i went to look at the crates I found a new crate I loved, but they didn't have XL on the floor so I walked back up to the desk to as if they had a bigger one in the back. The lady had said there were not any XL in the crate I wanted at the moment but she said there were some online :) Things were going decently until there was an issue with putting the money back on my card so instead of waiting any longer I asked if store credit would be easier and she said yes, So I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if i could use the gift card online and she said yes, I could. She gave me store credit. I then came home and went online to order my crate just to be stopped because the gift card doesn't work online. It will only work in the store. I had never really bought much from PETCO other than the crate and some treats. So the next morning I call their customer service and some lady I could barley understand answers the phone basically tells me sorry you can only use it in store and I told her they do not have the item I want instore, I want the one online, she said sorry you can't do that. So I ask for a manager because I do not this is fair that I was told one thing and then I am not able to do it. I only asked for a store gift card because the credit card process was taking too long. The manager was very rude on the phone and said she had to call people and such but repeated that it is rare the gift card policies can be altered and that I am going to have to use it in the store but she will see what she can do, I am very unhappy with PETCO. SO GO SOME WHERE ELSE...PETSMART OR ANOTHER PET PLACE. If you live in Texas I suggest going to PET BARN. I found them on my way home one day and they are great, a little more expensive but its worth the customer service and products :) read more
