Aisles are organized well. Love that you can bring your fur-child with you but the last few bags of dog food had moths in them. Finally I learned how to return but the insect problem was not fun to get rid of. They fed off the nutrition in the dog food, multiplied, had magnets. Awful awful and when I tried to return they didn't accept it back, then the second bag same issue, so I demanded to speak to a manager. They said they had a problem but promised it improved. This Petco may be one of the best Petcos I've been to. The store is clean, and has great products. The store is a good size, and has great prices. There are good deals here too, and there is something for every pet here! I like that I do get to save money here, as it seemed like everything is mostly under $20. It's very easy to walk in the aisles, and not crowd with other people. I've had that issue with many other Petcos, but everything is well organized, and the store is marked well! The reason it loses a star is it's hard to find staff to help you, and they are quite understaffed! However, I did like this Petco overall! read more

Its a pet store. Its not super clean but its not dirty either. Their selection is pretty good on pet foods, accessories, and meds. They have fish, birds, and the occasional reptile. They also have dog adoptions here with some pretty awesome puppies. Their prices aren't great but they tend to be a little cheaper than PetSmart across Rt. 9. They also have a groomer here however I have never used them. read more

Walked in late tonight with my dog hunter. We had a collar that was bleeding the color onto his fur. The manager , Devin and Gina had me set up with a new one free of charge in minutes. I have gone to Nicole at the grooming salon for more than 2 years ever since I adopted my dog. When your dog loses her mind to get inside to see her groomer I think it speaks volumes about caring she is. She always lets me know what specials are going on, and my dog comes home happy and clean. Great place to buy a Betta. Gentleman there was very helpful and gave me good information. All of the fish looked healthy and they have a tinted screen between each fish which they do not have at petsmart. This is important because these are fighting fish and they can get stressed from seeing other males. So happy with my purchase and the customer service. read more

I personally know how to groom dogs, and I usually do and she's never bad to groom she stays still and listens. So my poor puppy when I got back from my trip had cuts on her! Average pet chain shop. Can be fairly unorganized. Have never used any of their services such as grooming. Only shopped here. Store is about half the size of Petsmart across rt 9. about a year ago, I found a snake in my pool. It was a strange looking snake that I had never seen before. I took it over to Petco to see if there was anyone in the reptile dept that might be able to identify it. The guy I spoke to said he had never seen one before, but the guy that knows snakes is off today. He snapped some pics of it with his cel and sent them to the guy. I went back the next day and spoke to him and he assured me it was a corn snake. Didn't sound right to me, but what do I know. LOL doubting him, I contacted the Philadelphia zoo and emailed one of their experts some pics of the snake. They immediately got back to me with the real id of the snake. A northern water snake. If you are going to claim to be an expert and work in a store selling them and advising customers about them, you should know what you're talking about or be smart enough to just say....I DON'T KNOW!!!! read more

Our labrador retriever (Gracie) is over 9 years old and every time I walk her at Thompson Park in Lincroft, we are stopped by other dog lovers who comment on how young she looks. More about the grooming department. I really was unhappy when I brought my dog for a nail grind here. He is VERY nervous and a timid dog in general. I stayed there because I know he's a handful. It actually took the woman 30 minutes to do all of his nails and she did a half job on his back paws because she was so aggravated. She was manhandling him on the ground and at the time he was really only about 7 pounds. I am only giving it three stars because I do feel bad that my dog is a p.i.t.a. and I knew he was a handful going in, but I would've expected since I am going to an experienced place they would have more of an idea of how to handle a dog.
