This Petco has constantly let me down with the WORST grooming job. I'm never taking my puppy here again!

Idk I guess I'm just iffy cause I paid all this money and they didn't even clean her ears

Never again! My wife brought Sophie to PetSmart, the clerk…read moregave her a basic price of $52. She told my wife that they would need to cut out the knots in her fur, she asked if that was an additional cost she was told that it was $40 but was included in the basic price of $52. They also said that Tuesday was Senior Citizen Day (10% discount). Later they called and said that Sophie was ready, my wife called back and they told her the cost would be $92 (WHAT!!). She spoke with the manager of the department and explained the situation, she said that nothing could be done and that was the cost. My wife then asked to speak with the store manager, she explained the situation and after going back and forth for quite some time the manager said that they would only charge $52 but that we could not bring Sophie back to Pet Smart in Houma. That should be the end of the story but no... My daughter picked up Sophie and was shocked when she saw her, her cut was patchy, she had blood spots on her skin, her tail was bald and the usual ribbon was not in her hair. Considering that they had spoken with my wife after they were finished I hope that they were not charging $92 for the messed up cut they gave Sophie but I also hope that they didn't decide to gouge her up after she complained about the amount they charged. Either way, we will NEVER bring her back to this butcher shop and strongly suggest that no one else bring their fur baby there. You have been warned.

Not only did he give her the tools she needed to succeed but he also "trained" me on how to train her as well and gave me the tools I needed to continue to train my pup when he wasn't there. He was amazing with communication and extremely easy to work with. Very knowledgeable and would also explain things to me (how and why we were doing the things in training that we were doing) in a way that I understood. Highly recommend Matthew for all of your dog training needs :)

The…read morenew pup, Maybelline, was so full of love but came from a tough background (she was a bait dog in a fighting ring) and came to my home with essentially 0 healthy socialization with other dogs. I already had a dog, Bugg, who was not a fan of Maybelline and her lack of boundaries only compounded the situation- they couldn't be together without Maybelline running at Bugg and stepping over him (he's a tiny guy). I was determined to make this work so I reached out to ARNO and they connected me to Matt. We had a one hour training session and it was a great experience. Both dogs were comfortable with Matt from the get go. A lot was covered but the breakthrough for me was Matt's guidance in giving the dogs freedom to interact and allowing Bugg to "correct" Maybelline when she invaded his space/ignoring his cues of "I don't want to play, you are too close, give me space" so she couldn't learn. He gave specific recommendations for how much interaction to allow before separating the dogs and to limit face to face positioning. Matt helped me understand body language cues which eased my anxiety- it wasn't aggression on either end, just a case of one dog trying to say "stop annoying me" and the other dog being totally clueless. After that session I was able to relax and let them interact more without feeling like I had to be a helicopter. Soon the dogs were snoozing on the couch together and walking together without issue. We would have gotten here eventually without Matt's help but it would have taken so much longer and have been way more stressful than necessary. I added pictures to show our success :)

She set up some in-house consultation time with me to meet her (Sarah) as well as the pet-sitter that would be responsible for my kitties. They were both lovely and I felt comfortable with them. I booked ( through the online portal) the days I needed her to visit the kitties ( I have 2 persian cats). Each visit is 30 minutes and costs around $20 per visit and then an extra $3 per cat. I document each cats details on the portal as well as instructions for them to follow. Updates are sent through the customer portal. I always feel as ease knowing that my kitties are being taken care of. They send daily updates through the portal with cute pics of your pet. I Just have to mention that when Hurricane Barry was said to impact New Orleans, my hubby and i decided to leave because we have a newborn and couldn't risk staying in New Orleans. I called Sarah the day we left and asked her if she could see to the cats while we were away and she agreed too. She is truly our life saver. We played it by ear and because the storms weren't too bad she was able to check on them daily keeping me informed the entire time. She even picked up my packages for me at no additional cost as this was separate visit. If you are considering their services, don't hesitate and book it now. As you can see from this post I have been using their services for almost 4 years now and going strong. My persian kitties just love them!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Marcus and K9 Citizens Club! Last March, I adopted my…read moredog Casey, a 3.5y/o Lab/Belgian Malinois/Beagle mix (weird, I know) who had no signs of training on- or off-leash, and was very dog-selective, especially with other males or high-energy dogs. I am someone who has avidly followed and learned about dog training and behavior my entire life, and I'd already begun teaching Casey a lot of basics and structure around other dogs, but I absolutely wanted to work with a professional to not just fine-tune my skills in general, but to learn how to shape my communication in a way that Casey specifically understand best. We did the four session package that began with an evaluation in our home - where Casey made a fantastic first impression by darting out the front door to go investigate a dog walking across the street as soon as I opened it - and, because Casey was set to undergo heartworm treatment over the summer, Marcus was kind enough to let us schedule two sessions in May and two in September. By our last session, Casey only took a couple minutes to warm up to his large GSD Ruckus versus the roughy 20 minutes it took on day one to be comfortable with his other GSD, Ninja. While he still struggles with new high-energy dogs who try to get in his space too quickly (which I totally understand), Casey excelled last weekend in a group of 8 dogs after structured adjustment time - something I would have laughed at if mentioned a year ago - and was more responsive to recall and other commands I asked for than he ever had been in a high stimulation environment. Marcus taught me the subtle techniques for teaching and maintaining attention at a heel, how to adjust my tone of voice when asking for behaviors, better ways to make training FUN and an active game for both of us (my activity monitor on my Apple watch thanks you!), how to time leash and verbal corrections and reinforcements, the importance of distance and duration as well as behavioral nuances to pay attention to during structured introductions with other dogs, the CHAMPION multi-purpose tool that is the "place" command - and above all, how to easily incorporate seemingly small things into our daily routine so our training stays consistent in frequency but varied in environment. Marcus is incredibly professional in his approach, but also has such an approachable and friendly demeanor, making him a pleasure to work with from both the owner and dog perspective. I definitely plan to do another training package to continue improving (as does a friend who took my recommendation and used him for her 1y/o Goldendoodle), and can't wait 'til we start traveling again so Casey go board with his favorite trainer human (probably ranked even higher than me)!
