I picked up my dog from grooming & haircut. The groomer hands me a piece of paper which has barcodes. I'm told to take this to the register and pay and when I returned they would be ready. I handed the paper to the clerk at the register who immediately asked if I'd be adding a tip. I told him I wasn't sure and would like to see my bill. There was a line of people behind me waiting who overheard him say I NEEDED to tell him if I was adding a tip first. I said no. He continued to press and told me I'd have to sign something extra. I did. By this point he was clearly out to prove something. BTW, my bill was OVER $200! I'm sorry, are they unable to pay their employees? A tip should be for service that is exceeding what's expected. I would have happily tipped my groomer had this not happened. I'll not be returning to PETCO. read more

Employees are nice, but restroom had NO soap or hand sanitizer and was grimey, on the side of gross during pandemic. Two empty wall mounts where liquid soap should have been... ick. Made me want to leave instead of shop. There was hand sanitizer in the very front but employees or customers should have access to hand washing even without corona! Guinea pigs are always sick there. Went in today 9-30-23 Guinea pigs were sitting in piles and piles of their own feces and inside the hides in the TANK that they're in the floor was soaking wet. There was also flies in the cage. Not just one or two. Dozens, fruit flies also. If you care about animals you will NOT buy anything from here. When you get an animal they take that as a sign to go buy more of it. Employees there are extremely uneducated on the proper care of animals, that or they just don't care. Disgusting. read more

I don't recommend this place at all. We were 10 minutes late just to get the dogs nails trimmed the clerk wouldn't even attempt to squeeze them in after we drove 30 minutes to get there. Then asked if we could come back the next day. We went to pet smart instead . read more

I specifically said no hair cut and my dogs hair was cut. Groomer did not seem to have much patience with my puppy. No one ever mentioned the Spa Special for $27, instead I paid over $60. Probably will not go back there. read more

Wouldn't even give this store one star, took my son to buy fish today and the woman was completely rude. Not only did she refuse to help but completely blew us off after she told us that we couldn't get the fish we wanted. Then at check out another associate was very rude when we asked what the guarantee on the fish was. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

mostly everything at this store is great. a few workers are just awful, it seems like they were just hired but i've seen them there for months. i waited almost 45 minutes for crickets because the girl not only took forever in general but realized after 20 minutes she did the wrong size of crickets and had to start all over again. and if you have to have her return something for you, you better cancel your plans for the day. managers are great and have only really had problems with one or two employees. read more

Keene Petco grooming salon does a great job. Gabby has been grooming my dog for almost two years now and she is outstanding. My dog is very shy and Gabby is patient, kind and gentle with her. I would highly recommend this location for pet grooming and would recommend that you ask for Gabby as the groomer. read more

Keene Petco grooming salon is super clean. The grooming salon staff is very friendly. Karen, Alicia, and Gabby are excellent groomers. I would ALWAYS recommend them. They take great care of your dogs and they always come out looking GREAT and smelling good. The store manager Katie & Arlyn is very sweet and very helpful! The aquatic specialist Elise is super knowledge when it comes to fish and reptiles. Not to mention she is always smiley, polite, and fun! I always look forward to seeing her when I visit Petco. Last but not least the dog trainers Bethany & Vikki is great! They always know what to do when you need help. Keene Petco is great and everybody that works there has great customer service and I can tell they work together as a team. read more

Much nicer than most chain pet stores. I have my dog groomed here, and he's always relaxed while there, and always comes back with an excellent haircut and grooming. I also bought my green-cheeked conure here. Friendly, helpful staff. If you're lucky, Zeus the giant tortoise will be roaming the store when you visit. Just look for the balloon he wears floating above the aisles. read more

It's your standard Petco. It's clean & organized & they have a great selection of toys, food, crates, shampoo, collars, etc. We found a collar that was made in the USA, which is important to me. Downsides: They have a few dozen pegs with retractible leashes, all different colors & lengths, but not a SINGLE type of hands-free leash (around the waist for walking, hiking, etc). Some of the staff is nice although in order to find someone you have to ask a cashier, I can never find anyone on the floor, & the checkout girl last time was so rude. She had that "I'm too good to work here" face on but I'm friendly by nature so I asked her how she was doing. "It's too early" was her reply & she didn't ask me how I was or anything. Annoying. There has to be a better crop of college students looking for work that they could hire instead. read more

I was in the area with my dog and saw the store so I stopped in. It was the dirtiest Petco I have ever been in. There was dust on every shelf, the shelves were in disarray, there was no organization of product and there was crusted dog pee on almost every corner of every shelving unit. The door to the stock room was open and that was because it was such a mess that the door COULDNT be closed, it was blocked but too much crap. It needs a good cleaning with bleach for sure! The animal habitats did look clean and cared for but other than that.....not so much. I will not be back. read more
