I've been down here a few times for grooming services with a few different dogs, one a Staffordshire and the other a beagle mix. I've always been really happy with the results, you can tell the grooming staff is professional, efficient, and really cares about the health and wellbeing of the dogs they provide services for. Bonus, they also give your pet a cute little scarf when they're done. I've bought a few other things from this store like treats and such but can't say a lot about any other services here. It doesn't seem like a huge store but they have a decent enough selection so they'll probably have at least a few choices of whatever you're looking for. Fair warning, getting in and out of the lot can be a bit of a pain when there's a lot of traffic, but that's an issue with the lot itself and not this business. read more

I visited for a uti for my cat, they did a check up and blood work to see everything was okay. First off the lady said she will put a doggy pad for her because she we peeing in the carrier I did not ask for it she said she will do it and instead charged me for it as if I asked. I found my cat has kidney problems, instead of recommending any diet changes or any pain meds they said I just have to go to ER understandable. But their JOBB is to recommended diet changes to help with her dehydration and kidney they did not do that instead they made me feel rushed, gave me a piece of paper full of vet er and charged me 180 for everything wasn't bad price for everything but she overcharged me for something I didn't ask for. I feel as though I wasn't given any empathy or any remorse they just wanted to get out of work while I was crying my eyes out for my cat. This location has the worst customer service, I'm a customer here as I live across the street so come here almost every few days for my salt tank needs. Today I went in and stood in fish isle for 40 mins while no team member helped. One young lady walked right past us and asked others if they needed help, as we had been there for 20 mins already. My oldest got a hamster at this location recently several months after their old one passed away. Petco carries the food that the old one did really well on and we have gotten so many other items from them in the past. They just happened to be in the area and had gone in to check what pets they had available and found a few of the breed they liked in stock. They went back several days later and bought the one they liked best. She did well for almost 2 weeks and then passed one morning. We took her back in for proper disposal and they gave us a refund, unexpectedly, as they were not prepared to just replace it with a new one. Pets have been an important part of our family for their entire lives and Petco has always been there to fill their needs whether it be for food or other products. I was looking for a place to take my dog to get his nails cut and anal glands expressed. Their grooming center takes walk-ins for those services. If they have never seen your pet before, make sure to take copies of their vaccinations, especially rabies. The young lady that helped me get my furbabby checked in was so nice and helpful. She immediately took him to the back while I paid. The check out girls were also very friendly and sharp. Before I knew it, they were done. They did a great job on his nails. Better than my vet. I was very happy with their service. Of course my pet wasn't going to let me out the door without doing some shopping. He had to sniff out all the toys, food and treats in his reach. He's all but 10 pounds, so his reach isn't very high, but his nose knows. They have a lot of varieties of dog/cat food and treats. They had some really good deals on treats (Made in America). We snagged a couple good deals. Though I don't have any other animals, I cant help but to visit all the other animals in the store; rats, fish, reptiles, birds...I love all their accessories, especially the elaborate tubes for the hamsters to play and hide in. I tried to introduce my pet to some of the cats that were up for adoption. Dropped off my dog for a cut. Not realizing he was going to come back with several nicks and cuts. I have used an array of different groomers and even cut my dogs hair myself but never have I left him nicked and cut like this. Nor have any of those other establishments. I am highly upset at the care my dog received. If the skill set is lacking and the groomer is unable to provide a proper service. Maybe skills need to be reevaluated or someone with the skill set should have stepped in and taken over. read more

I've been a loyal Petco customer, especially for purchasing tissue culture plants, but my recent visit was very disappointing. I've frequently received price matches in-store for items that are cheaper on their website, with no issues. However, during my latest visit, I was treated with complete disregard. When I asked about a price match, the staff and especially the manager were very rude and dismissive, telling me that they don't offer that despite having done it for me many times before! The lack of consistency and unprofessional attitude was shocking. Definitely not coming back here again. Stop treat your customers like shit. read more

Well for starters, they can stop lying to make sales. A sick fish should not be sold. This can have dire consequences and get very expensive by killing all the other fish. Sold me a yellow goat fish and I noticed it had ick. They told me that is only because it was stressed try to catch him. Got home and acclimated the lil guy to my hospital tank. Fish was swimming ok but I was not ready to pass him into my display tank. My wife fed the lil guy and told me the next morning he was just in the hiding tube. I got home after work and the lil guy was dead covered in ick. Called Petco at the loop in Kissimmee and their answer pretty much was tuff luck, we won't refund you. It died when you had it. This is one day to the next and me pointing out that it looked sick. I asked if it dies in the next couple of days can I get a refund, the same person said I'm sure we can work something out, now she says she never told me that right to my face. It is now 8:31pm EST on Monday 9/19/2022 and there is light rain falling. I am at curbside pickup and after 10 minutes, a Male (Ray) picked up the phone, I told him I preordered food for my dog and gave him the name. Ray just said "Hold" and left me on hold. What is the purpose of curbside pick up? I went in with the call still on Hold and asked for the Manager and Lucy came up. She stated when it is raining the staff is not required to take your order to the car!I was surprised by her response since this policy is no where in writing! If you are reading this review you are better off ordering during a sunny day or order from another store altogether. Despite informing the manager "Lucy" I have a blue handicap pass She reiterated keep in mind when it is thundering and raining no one is required to take the food out! I replied well keep in mind when your employees answer the phone they should let the customer know not just place them on eternal hold . Lucy totally defended her employee telling me he was working in the back. As a Corporate Professional and former manager she didn't act accordingly. The customer is not always right, but you need to hold your employees accountable. This curbside "no rain" policy should be put in writing on the PETCO Corporate Website. Lucy also said we have 3 employees in the store and I saw one customer. Wow! It was light rain and everyone must be made of paper. He has done this many times before but at a different petco but since we moved and this location is closer, we tried it and never again. The cut was NOT what was agreed upon. My husband also told me that the guy was super rude when taking our dog. He said that my husband had to take her harness and leash with him even though he told him that I would be picking her up from work. I only had a spare leash in the car so I had to carry her out. I also found little nics on her neck that indicate that she might have been cut a little bit. Which would never have happened if they did not shave my cocker spaniel to the shortest possible setting right before November. Took Patrick in for his first time grooming today. Ash had been recommended to me by a friend. Very knowledgable, very nice, knows what he is doing. Did a good job. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to deal with squirmy puppies while trying to clip and clean them. took a little longer than I was hoping for, I dont like the idea of my puppy sitting in a cage not knowing where I am or what is going on, but to be fair Ash did say he was take his time with Patrick as this was his first grooming. If that was not bad enough I sent my wife to pick up the order when they finally got the order paperwork in, but they would not give it to her since she was not me? Even tho she had the paperwork for the order and my ID????? I tried once I got home earlier to change the pick-up person but there was no way to change that once the order is in. Believe me I understand security but come-on there must be some common sense if one is truly a manager. I asked to speak to her but after waiting for 15 min.....I left to write this review. There are only a few Petcos around town that carry the dog food we like to feed our dog. This is one of them. I don't really like going to the Loop, however this Petco is worth the drive. They have lots of product to choose from and seem to have PAL sales all the time, but aren't always fully stocked. First of all they take all day to have your pet ready, and since they are so overbooked (because they never tell you they are booked for the day) they just keep taking walk-ins all day. Its nice to go somewhere where people know what they're talking about and the employees are actively engaged in their work. The trainer, Jillian, even helped fit Molly into one of those special walking harnesses that help stop them from pulling. They ALL spoke to me individually about something and all seem to really like their clients. As I was in line, I asked the other owners regarding their experience with this location. I got all good reviews. No complaints or worries at all. I was even recommended to Rhonda and Delisa. As I got to the desk, I found out all the slots were full for the day. Luckily the manager made time for my hairy daughter and the other hairy cutie behind me. Too kind of her. It took a bit longer than I'm used to but I guess it was due to the amount of clients they had. Either way, the staff was very kind and called me with updates. I have never had a problem here. Large store. At the Loop. Good size parking area. They offer grooming at a decent comparable prices as others in the area. LOVE the pet adoption services. Rewards services are great. The only problem I see here is customer service. Not enough personnel and the ones they have are lacking the appropriate training in the they most basic of customer service skills such as greetings. Come here often for my Iguanas needs. Always browse the other baby iguanas, can never get over the fact at how large they cut up their food.
