I was looking for a place to take my dog to get his nails cut and anal glands expressed. Their grooming center takes walk-ins for those services. If they have never seen your pet before, make sure to take copies of their vaccinations, especially rabies. The young lady that helped me get my furbabby checked in was so nice and helpful. She immediately took him to the back while I paid. The check out girls were also very friendly and sharp. Before I knew it, they were done. They did a great job on his nails. Better than my vet. I was very happy with their service. Of course my pet wasn't going to let me out the door without doing some shopping. He had to sniff out all the toys, food and treats in his reach. He's all but 10 pounds, so his reach isn't very high, but his nose knows. They have a lot of varieties of dog/cat food and treats. They had some really good deals on treats (Made in America). We snagged a couple good deals. Though I don't have any other animals, I cant help but to visit all the other animals in the store; rats, fish, reptiles, birds...I love all their accessories, especially the elaborate tubes for the hamsters to play and hide in. I tried to introduce my pet to some of the cats that were up for adoption. The cats were so adorable and lovable, but by pup wasn't having any of it, so we checked out and took our goodies home.

Super clean and organized inside. Service The staff were helpful with my prescription dog food. The vet tech printed me off a card so I could use it every time I came to buy my dog's special food. The person who checked me out had a positive attitude, much appreciated. :)

Dropped off my dog for a cut. Not realizing he was going to come back with several nicks and cuts. I have used an array of different groomers and even cut my dogs hair myself but never have I left him nicked and cut like this. Nor have any of those other establishments. I am highly upset at the care my dog received. If the skill set is lacking and the groomer is unable to provide a proper service. Maybe skills need to be reevaluated or someone with the skill set should have stepped in and taken over.

I took my dog to get groomed at Petco on 3201 Vineland Rd. Ash did an amazing job on my giant schnauzer puppy. I will definitely be bring him back for his next hair cut! I would definitely recommend Ash!

Cellphone hold time after being put on hold and no one picking up again

It is now 8:31pm EST on Monday 9/19/2022 and there is light rain falling. I am at curbside pickup and after 10 minutes, a Male (Ray) picked up the phone, I told him I preordered food for my dog and gave him the name. Ray just said "Hold" and left me on hold. What is the purpose of curbside pick up? I went in with the call still on Hold and asked for the Manager and Lucy came up. She stated when it is raining the staff is not required to take your order to the car!I was surprised by her response since this policy is no where in writing! If you are reading this review you are better off ordering during a sunny day or order from another store altogether. Despite informing the manager "Lucy" I have a blue handicap pass She reiterated keep in mind when it is thundering and raining no one is required to take the food out! I replied well keep in mind when your employees answer the phone they should let the customer know not just place them on eternal hold . Lucy totally defended her employee telling me he was working in the back. As a Corporate Professional and former manager she didn't act accordingly. The customer is not always right, but you need to hold your employees accountable. This curbside "no rain" policy should be put in writing on the PETCO Corporate Website. Lucy also said we have 3 employees in the store and I saw one customer. Wow! It was light rain and everyone must be made of paper. Do not Order Curbside from this store or shop here altogether!

I love coming here to get everything I need for my babies. The store is really well organized depending on what time of pet you have. They offer grooming and obedience classes as well. They offer adoptions for cats daily but special groups come on weekends so check with the store for dates and times. Sign up for Petco Pal rewards and get great deals and rewards! The employees are very knowledgeable about pets, pet care and products so I am confident when I go there that they will help me when I have questions.

PLEASE READ IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING THIS FACILITY!…read more After giving my dog a month to readjust, I'm leaving an honest review of my experience. I chose this business because of its reviews and proximity. I explained that my German Shepherd puppy had service-dog potential but I couldn't train him myself due to health reasons. The owner seemed knowledgeable, so I invested over $2,400 for their basic obedience board-and-train. From the start, there were red flags. The contract included extra charges--such as several hundred dollars for potty training--despite those services being advertised as included. They also charged a mandatory $55 bath fee. (This is important later on) During his stay, communication was minimal and our dog rarely appeared on their social media until we specifically requested more updates. At pickup, the trainer demonstrated commands using a prong collar fitted far too loosely and incorrectly. When my puppy hesitated, the trainer harshly snapped the leash, making him yelp, cry, and visibly shut down in fear. Despite this, he continued applying hard corrections until he got up from the ground. After returning home, we discovered they never gave back his collar and he smelled strongly of urine and feces, despite the bath charge. While settling him in after bathing him ourselves, we also found a 5-6 inch injury on his thigh. A vet confirmed it was rope burn and that he also had a staph infection--both of which occurred during his time there. None of this was disclosed to us when it happened or at the end of his stay. Previously, they had refused to give me a tour of their facility. After everything that happened, I contacted animal control to get more information. Anyone considering this facility should know that their animal control records are public and free to request. The reports include dogs dying in their care, kennels covered in feces and urine, roach infestations, unsafe kennel wiring, and reports of dogs yelping like they're being hit. From the notes, it looks like they often refuse access to animal control during surprise visits until they can temporarily clean their facility to meet code. The only positive was that my dog came back with a good heel and place. Nothing else with his training stuck despite daily reinforcements of what they taught him since being back. Cons: Collar not returned Returned dirty and smelling of urine/feces despite bath fee Upcharged for services listed as included Came back with a staph infection Came back with a 5-6 inch rope-burn injury Now fearful of men raising their voices Had to provide all his food/treats (You'd think with board and train, the price would cover that?) Pros: Good heel and place

I am totally devastated with the condition my dog was when she came home from the K9 Training…read moreAcademy/Orlando. Richard was pleasant when we were potential clients and made us feel comfortable leaving our Shepherd in his care. I told Richard that my German Shepherd was skittish and afraid and very leery of men. After the first week I called for an update and his wife was abrupt, sharp and every time I tried to speak, she raised her voice and spoke over me. When I spoke to Richard, I asked for a picture of my dog to see her and they told me there would be a charge for a picture. Richard told me to watch the website and there would be pictures of her regularly. Truth is, they only post pictures of dogs that look happy and my dog, Daisy, was never happy so her picture was almost never on the website. Possibly 2 pictures in 10 weeks? A few weeks later, I got a call that Daisy "broke 2 kennels" and I had to pay for it. I don't believe that happened, Daisy was not aggressive. In the end, they charged me $8,000 for the training, the 2 kennels and an e-collar. I was overcharged for everything but had no recourse, I had to pay. When my dog came home, I took her to the vet because she was alarmingly skinny and more skittish and afraid than ever. The vet put Daisy on Prozac and told me she lost 21 lbs. I shared Daisy's "graduation video" with everyone at the vet's office and everyone agreed that she seems as though she was abused. Richard's training methods may work on some dogs but not all. He was determined to make Daisy comply to his methods and refused to alter, even when she kept losing weight and shutting down. Halfway through her training, he told me she is "stubborn and a bitch and he has had 1 other dog as difficult as Daisy". But even though his methods did not work, he never altered his training methods, and I believe he abused my dog to try and make her comply. He kept Daisy for 95 days, telling me he can't send her home till she "accepts and complies because she is a representation of him". In the end, after 95 days, he gave up. Richard and his wife and children run the business, and I would never recommend him to anyone.
