The sweetest staff ever, they truly care about your pets and listen to your wants for grooming

How can a place go from awesome to awful in less than two months? Last week we made our 3rd reservations for full grooming for our four Shih Tzu's. They have been there twice before with good results. We arrived as scheduled at 11am and the owner says will be ready about 2:30 to 3pm (there was only one other dog on the grooming tables). Not having received any calls from them, after more than 4 hours, we arrived 3:15pm and there were not ready; instead of taking responsibility the owner starts with excuses; blaming us for not brushing the dogs, etc.!! She asks for 30-35 more minutes. We step out to get a smoothie and return 4:15 (this double the time she asked for), but still not ready. In a 90+ degrees day she asks us to step outside. Then her rude aggressive daughter starts berating us after we softly said it has been over 5 hours since they have the dogs (and almost 2 hours since they were due). Anyone can have a bad day; perhaps scheduling issues, short staff, etc., but what is unforgivable is not owning it and then blaming the customer and berating us. Finally, to add insult to injury they cut in half two of our new Seresto collars $58 each saying the hair was entangled (those collars were less than two weeks old) and also increased the price over 10% from 8 weeks ago. Beware here; your experience can go from wonderful to awful in no time. They don't own their mistakes and then blame (and berate) the customer. So Sad! read more

Absolutely love everyone here. I took my dachshund to get his nails cut. Such a small task but they did excellent. Not just a rushed nail trim like I've experienced before elsewhere, the groomer took her time and filed them after. Even gave him some treats after! I will definitely come back for further pampering on my babe. read more

We are snow birds and come to Orlando for 2 months every year and bring my husband's service dog Patsy. She needed to be groomed and Magic Pets was convenient and could take he within the week. Erica did an amazing job. Much better than her groomer at home. If it wasn't 870 miles we would bring her back in 6 weeks . read more

I'm not one to write reviews but this place is amazing and so happy I took my boy here. Staff is super friendly and have the right procedures in place for covid-19. Erika made my pup look so handsome and even brought him to my car to ensure he wouldn't get wet as there was a huge storm taking place, on top of gifting us some goodies! I made an appointment beforehand and showed up to drop off my dog at the designated time, which was noon. I was told my dog would be ready before they closed at 6pm and I would receive a call. No call ever came, so I drove over and go in at 6pm. My dog is on the table still being trimmed and I am told to come back in 5 minutes. If the dog is there for 7 hours, I am not sure why he's the last one to be completed and rushed. The cut itself was mediocre. When I paid, the price increased from when I called with no explanation. The staff themselves were not very friendly and it seemed like they were more doing me a favor. My dog was also sprayed with this God awful stuff that had him smelling for days. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I have no plans for a return visit. read more

The groomers in Magic Pets were very friendly and I could tell that they took pride in their work. I honestly think they did the best job on our dogs that we ever had! We are moving to Clermont but we think we will continue to bring our dogs to them. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I took my dog in for service and was greeted by Samantha who did not show any enthusiasm in her job. I informed her about allowing my dog a couple of minutes to acclimate to her scent and she chose to ignore causing for my dog to pee on my shirt. I asked if possible, to keep his hair as long as possible and was rejected immediately because of his mats. Although I understood, I began to point out the mats myself (ones located on the top part of his body and near the belly/chest area) and also mentioned his detached dewclaw and asked for her to be mindful/careful when cutting near the area. Samantha checked his legs and acted like she acknowledged and did not mention any matting (because there was none) near ANY of his paws. Just short of two hours later I received a call that he was ready for pick up and asked if all was ok and was assured he was good to go. I arrived 20 minutes later to pick him up and noticed he was overly excited to see me and became slightly concerned but did not pay any special mind (because I am not a negative thinking person). When I arrived at home, I noticed blood on his towel and in areas he would lay in and upon searching him found that his dewclaw had been so severely cut it was near the point of full amputation. I called the business immediately to address this issue and was answered by the owner Erica (did not know she was the owner at the time of the call) and asked to speak to a manager and she abruptly passed me back to Samantha. I began to address the injury I had found on my dog and was responded with "these things happen" and "you signed a form accepting full responsibility" - again I attempted to explain myself to this person and again I was given no sympathy/concern for my situation. I asked for the owners name and was told it was Erica and so I asked to speak to her but was told "she had stepped out" even though I could hear her in the back responding to the issues I was voicing and offering a refund for my service. Immediately after offering the refund, Samantha then took back her offer and stated I would have to wait to speak to the owner Erica the following day - and she would be able to confirm whether the refund would be possible or not. Well, I did not accept this answer and demanded that she give me my refund immediately for this horrid experience. After a few minutes of Samantha arguing with me and telling me my dog was "fat and matted" she agreed to process the refund during the phone call. The next business day I called them back and Erica answered the phone. I announced who I was and calmly explained the situation (even though I knew she was already aware from the previous day) - needless to say she would not allow me to finish expressing my issue. Continuously she interrupted me to put her two cents in and repeatedly reminded me that I signed a disclosure form acknowledging if anything were to happen they would not pay. To which I responded - I understand the terms of the document, but I was not informed on two different occasions I had contact with her staff that my dog had been injured because of a discrepancy on behalf of their staff. She offered to send me the documents (but never did, still don't have a copy) - she said because I was refunded for the 60.00 that it was all she would do - and did not accept or show any concern WHATSOEVER for the condition she essentially left my dog in. Before ending the phone call she actually made it a point to say again that my dog was "overweight and matted" and again I explained to her no matting was anywhere near his legs and then I disconnected the call because of the level of incompetency during this conversation. I STRONGLY SUGGEST ANYONE who is thinking about visiting this place to STAY AWAY. They do not care - they do not ask for updated vet records - and they are extremely unprofessional. read more

My experience here was absolutely perfect. Very clean, calm atmosphere, my dog is a pit bull mix with a scary looking face even though she's sweet and the staff were not intimidated by her. So after taking my dog to PetsMart/Petco for several years and getting mediocre haircuts, today I decided to look for a pet groomer a little closer to home for convenience and quality purposes. After looking through reviews I stumbled on a place that was only 2.4 miles away but had no reviews. Although I was a little apprehensive with a place having no reviews, I was feeling risky and decided to take my Yorkie-Maltese, Chloe Bear, to Magic Pets for a bath and haircut. When I brought her in, immediate relief started to kick in. The two groomers at the front desk Erika and Amanda were so sweet and welcoming. I explained to Amanda that it had been a few months since Chloe's last "groom" & her hair wasn't in the best shape with spots that had matted. Amanda kindly explained what they were going to do and gave me some tips that I can use at home to help with matting. To my delight when picking Chloe up she was bathed, matt free, nails trimmed and had two little doggy bows to make her cuter than she already is. They even sealed the deal by giving Chloe a little doggy treat bag on our way out. The total was $63.00 including tip. Which was about $20.00 less than what I was spending at chain groomers and not getting the same quality results. All in all, great experience!!! Hooray for local businesses! Very upset and disappointed with this grooming salon. I set up an appointment mid week for early Saturday morning, and as I get there the person that took my call stated that they didn't have time to groom and could only bathe. Why would I ever agree to drive 30 minutes, wait several hours just to give my dog a bath? I could save the time and headache and bathe him at home. Also lied to my face by saying that I agreed to that when I booked the appointment. Most upsetting is the lack of integrity and unwillingness to resolve the problem. Staff is very kind and welcoming each visit. This is one of the only places by dog feels comfortable getting groomed and that means the world. The facility is very clean and doesn't smell like dog which is impressive. I love that this is a family owned and operated business. I much rather support a local business than a large franchise. I love that they have an express option for more anxious dogs that do not like to be held in a holding area for a haircut. This creates a less stressful environment and the fact that they have thought of that is great. After the express option, bath, haircut and nail trimming I pay around $80, which I will happily pay everytime knowing my dog is in good hands. Thank you for always taking care of my pup! read more

It took them over 5 hours to do a standard cut on my dog and when I got her back, she was very fatigued and was not acting like herself. It almost was like she was given a sedative. I will never ever bring my dog back and am legitimately worried she was given a drug without my knowledge. read more

I tried to give this place a chance but you don't listen to the customer! It should Not take 6 hours to groom my dog.I book an appointment a week out and still takes all fucking day! He comes home dying of thirst every time and looks stressed out! My furbaby Bentley means the world to me and I don't trust him with just anyone so I can confidently state that Magic Pets is the only place I will ever trust to groom him. Erika has a love for pets that is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Bentley practically drags me in the door and runs right to her. When I go back to pick him up he is a happy, pampered boy. He smells wonderful, clean not perfumed, his hair is soft and shiny, nails clipped to perfection and even his ears smell clean. The products she uses keep him soft, shiny and clean smelling for quite a while, even after a few rolls in the grass. If you're looking for a top notch groomer, look no further. read more

Took erika 4 and 1/2 hours to cut my small dog daisy. When I called and came to pick her up she starting arguing with me because I questioned her why it takes so long to groom a small dog. Based on some of the reviews, I decided to take my 10 year old dog to this grooming salon. I was super excited about it and it had been about a year since her last groom and she needed some care. Called and scheduled an appointment and let them know what I was looking for. I even told them how much my dog weighed and then they gave be a price of $55 over the phone. My husband was the one who dropped off my pet and they had him sign consents for permission to groom. It took about 4 hours before I received a call stating she was ready and when she was picked up she was completely shaved down to the skin. I asked my husband to walk me through what happened and he did tell me that the lady stated she had to cut a little shorter than we wanted because she was matted in some areas. He said she NEVER stated they had to shave the dog fully. Their argument is that he signed the consent. I called and asked to speak with the owner for 3 days and each day they said he was unavailable. When I finally was able to speak with him he agreed to give me a refund. Again, I had my dog for almost 11 years....Why would I ever agree to a full shave??? She came home and you could tell she was not herself. I have never been so upset. When I finally was able to come to an agreement with Raul, the manager and he agreed to give me a refund. Unfortunately, I missed my appointment to go in person to process the refund so I called and let them know I would need to come back another day and then the wife, Erica came on the phone and denied the refund and also yelled at me over the fact that my husband signed a consent and she wanted him to come in person to tell her to her face that they never discussed the dog being shaved. I said if she wants him to come in that is fine, I still would like my refund and she stated she would not give it to me even after Raul agreed to give me the refund. She stated she is the owner to and didn't agree with his decision. Bottom line $75.00 down the drain. Yes! $75.00 because that is what they charged me because they didn't realize my dog would be so big. For those who decide to go, make sure your complaints are not made with Raul as he has no say so in the way this place is managed!!!! read more
