    We are snow birds and come to Orlando for 2 months every year and bring my husband's service dog Patsy. She needed to be groomed and Magic Pets was convenient and could take he within the week. Erica did an amazing job. Much better than her groomer at home. If it wasn't 870 miles we would bring her back in 6 weeks .

    I'm not one to write reviews but this place is amazing and so happy I took my boy here. Staff is super friendly and have the right procedures in place for covid-19. Erika made my pup look so handsome and even brought him to my car to ensure he wouldn't get wet as there was a huge storm taking place, on top of gifting us some goodies! Definitely coming back and a happy customer.

    If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I took my dog in for service and was greeted by Samantha who did not show any enthusiasm in her job. I informed her about allowing my dog a couple of minutes to acclimate to her scent and she chose to ignore causing for my dog to pee on my shirt. I asked if possible, to keep his hair as long as possible and was rejected immediately because of his mats. Although I understood, I began to point out the mats myself (ones located on the top part of his body and near the belly/chest area) and also mentioned his detached dewclaw and asked for her to be mindful/careful when cutting near the area. Samantha checked his legs and acted like she acknowledged and did not mention any matting (because there was none) near ANY of his paws. Just short of two hours later I received a call that he was ready for pick up and asked if all was ok and was assured he was good to go. I arrived 20 minutes later to pick him up and noticed he was overly excited to see me and became slightly concerned but did not pay any special mind (because I am not a negative thinking person). When I arrived at home, I noticed blood on his towel and in areas he would lay in and upon searching him found that his dewclaw had been so severely cut it was near the point of full amputation. I called the business immediately to address this issue and was answered by the owner Erica (did not know she was the owner at the time of the call) and asked to speak to a manager and she abruptly passed me back to Samantha. I began to address the injury I had found on my dog and was responded with "these things happen" and "you signed a form accepting full responsibility" - again I attempted to explain myself to this person and again I was given no sympathy/concern for my situation. I asked for the owners name and was told it was Erica and so I asked to speak to her but was told "she had stepped out" even though I could hear her in the back responding to the issues I was voicing and offering a refund for my service. Immediately after offering the refund, Samantha then took back her offer and stated I would have to wait to speak to the owner Erica the following day - and she would be able to confirm whether the refund would be possible or not. Well, I did not accept this answer and demanded that she give me my refund immediately for this horrid experience. After a few minutes of Samantha arguing with me and telling me my dog was "fat and matted" she agreed to process the refund during the phone call. The next business day I called them back and Erica answered the phone. I announced who I was and calmly explained the situation (even though I knew she was already aware from the previous day) - needless to say she would not allow me to finish expressing my issue. Continuously she interrupted me to put her two cents in and repeatedly reminded me that I signed a disclosure form acknowledging if anything were to happen they would not pay. To which I responded - I understand the terms of the document, but I was not informed on two different occasions I had contact with her staff that my dog had been injured because of a discrepancy on behalf of their staff. She offered to send me the documents (but never did, still don't have a copy) - she said because I was refunded for the 60.00 that it was all she would do - and did not accept or show any concern WHATSOEVER for the condition she essentially left my dog in. Before ending the phone call she actually made it a point to say again that my dog was "overweight and matted" and again I explained to her no matting was anywhere near his legs and then I disconnected the call because of the level of incompetency during this conversation. I STRONGLY SUGGEST ANYONE who is thinking about visiting this place to STAY AWAY. They do not care - they do not ask for updated vet records - and they are extremely unprofessional.

    My experience here was absolutely perfect. Very clean, calm atmosphere, my dog is a pit bull mix with a scary looking face even though she's sweet and the staff were not intimidated by her. Absolutely excellent service.. my dog is happy and I am too! Big thank you!! This was my first time here and I am the kind of person who looks at reviews but rarely leaves them.. I saw the reviews here weren't fantastic but I gave it a try any way since I am new in town and was looking for a groomer close to my new home. No regrets! I'll be back regularly :)

    So after taking my dog to PetsMart/Petco for several years and getting mediocre haircuts, today I decided to look for a pet groomer a little closer to home for convenience and quality purposes. After looking through reviews I stumbled on a place that was only 2.4 miles away but had no reviews. Although I was a little apprehensive with a place having no reviews, I was feeling risky and decided to take my Yorkie-Maltese, Chloe Bear, to Magic Pets for a bath and haircut. When I brought her in, immediate relief started to kick in. The two groomers at the front desk Erika and Amanda were so sweet and welcoming. I explained to Amanda that it had been a few months since Chloe's last "groom" & her hair wasn't in the best shape with spots that had matted. Amanda kindly explained what they were going to do and gave me some tips that I can use at home to help with matting. To my delight when picking Chloe up she was bathed, matt free, nails trimmed and had two little doggy bows to make her cuter than she already is. They even sealed the deal by giving Chloe a little doggy treat bag on our way out. The total was $63.00 including tip. Which was about $20.00 less than what I was spending at chain groomers and not getting the same quality results. All in all, great experience!!! Hooray for local businesses! Chloe & I will be back!

Our Irish Setter has been groomed here multiple times, yet the services have consistently felt lazy and inconsistent. Most recently, the grooming job was extremely poor, as shown in the photos. Despite our dog having an established "file" and us communicating our instructions directly to the groomer, we were later told it was still our responsibility to ensure everything was explained again. After we called to express our concerns, they asked us to send photos as evidence of the grooming. Following an investigation and conversations with both the owner and store manager, they admitted the groom was not up to their standards and apologized, which we did appreciate. What was disappointing, however, was the resolution they offered. Instead of refunding the service, they offered a discount on a future appointment. That felt presumptuous, considering this experience left us with little confidence in trusting them to groom our dog again. They also mentioned that, if we returned, they would make sure a groomer who "specializes in setters" handled him next time. This was frustrating to hear because our dog has been groomed there multiple times already, and that option was never previously mentioned.

I am in a hardship, and I have a fixed income and she wanted to get my three dogs in shape so I could afford to keep them groomed. But upon her reading the beginning of this, she got very angry and said that it hurt her, and it was all very positive, and the whole thing seemed a little immature to me. So she told me to find another groomer, and said she was done, and I told her I would remove this whole thing if she just honored her end and did the grooming this one time, but she refused to. Just want to give people a heads up that something like this could very well happen again. Update: I will not use this venue as a place to argue with someone. But when there is a lie... So, I took to Yelp, like I usually do, and when I saw DogStar had Heather and Brent's approval, I knew they had to be my first contact. I sent a message late at night expecting a response in the morning. Much to my surprise, Joseph answered my message in under five minutes, instructing me to call in the morning and he'd do his best to squeeze me in. I called first thing in the morning, and it worked out for them to send Dan to us in the mobile grooming truck less than two hours later. He did a wonderful job with Rocky (getting him all clean and shaved and the full works) and I'm extra grateful because he let us know about an ear infection, so we were then off to find a vet. Would definitely recommend them and use them if I get a dog while in the area.

When I finally reached someone they told me to text them which I did and it's been two days with no response. Why tell someone to text you if you want respond back? So in total I have been trying to reach them for 2-3 weeks now. To the owner if you are this busy where you can not answer texts, Yelp messenger, business phone, cell phone then tell new customers you can't take new clients, it's the respectful thing to do.
