Petco is located in a convenient location and the parking lot offers good parking space. The store is clean and dog and cat food is easy to find. They have everything laid out well, and on a recent trip, I was able to grab a few items and be on my way, instead of wandering through the store trying to find something. Prices are comparable to the other big box pet store and this store has an even better selection of refrigerated pet foods. They also offer shopping incentives to make the cost more competitive. It's nice to see the variety of quality foods they offer and you know you're getting the best for your pets. Although I have a couple of fluffy pups who go to the groomer, I have not used their grooming service. Can't say anything about that, but the store itself is a good place to shop and the staff is pleasant and helpful. It would be great if they built a store closer to my house, but until then, this store is on my list of places to shop. read more

While I recommend Petco overall as another big box pet store, I am absolutely not recommending the groomers in this location. We were notified the day of our dog's longstanding appointment that they have to cancel as one of the groomers felt unwell. This can happen but this was not the first time this happened. The alternative was to wait until end of the week. This time I talked to a supervisor named Amber. Amber should be taking a refresher course in customer service. Incredible pompous, loud & snippy. I had an appointment to get my dog groomed, and the Lady (Debbie with white hair) was rude & turned me away because of "matting". She said she could refer me out to a vet to have him shaved. My dog is 7 1/2 years old and never have I been told this before. Maybe she just didn't want to groom my dog who is a Pomeranian. Just be aware if you take your dog here for the first time. Just went to Petco we had her seatbelt that Bentley does not like to use because it's so hard to get him in the seatbelt,when we had to go back to Petco to return it. My cat loves when I come back home with some gourmet canned food, especially the Turducken. John Madden as a feline, I guess. This location has a pet groomer by appointment as well. The store is very clean and organized. Staff is hit and miss. Most are friendly, others are blase or on their cell phones when it's slow, but that's management's issue. We used to go to this store to purchase food for our pets but after yesterday no more. Our experience was awful. We have a 3,000 gallon with two small turtles and we wanted to add to our turtle family. But the manager didn't take the time to listen to us to inform him of our 3,000 gallon pond. He automatically mentioned that we aren't allowed to mix turtle sizes. So now my question is why at Miromar Outlets their ponds have different turtle species of all different sizes, with koi fish? We've never seen them fight, ever. The employee we dealt with told us that the manager wouldn't sell us the turtles and she even ended up making a racist comment while discussing the issue as we are Latino. We will no longer be shopping here not at the fact of the turtle issue, but the fact of makinf the racist comment. Took my dog in today for grooming, got a call to come and pick her up the groomer told me he couldn't finish because my dog growled at him. My dog has never growled at anyone in 11 years!!! For my dog to act that way this groomer must've done something to her. When I saw her I could not believe my eyes her feet were half done her face was halfway done he shaved her tail when I told him to trim her tail her ears were half shaved. I don't understand how every part of her body was half done. Don't you start on one part of her body and then go to the next. There are no words to describe how upset and mad I am. Amber at Petco is my favorite groomer. Frankie - my Pomeranian - always looks his best, exactly the way I like him clipped and scissored. Nails nice and smooth, tail and mane fluffy and silky long. The rest clipped not-too-short. And the feet! The tidy rounded little feet just kill me! Amber is the best, but don't ask for her by name, I want her available for Frankie LOL! Get your own groomer! I took my pet Bogey in for puppy training which lasted six weeks. The trainer Chris was awesome and at the end of the training Bogey could sit, lie down, turn around, leave it, stay, walk on a leash and stay. He taught me how important it was to have a social dog. I have discovered this in taking him to dog parks (he is a special puppy who likes to greet the dogs and the owners and is very well liked by all).I would highly recommend the training at Petco. read more

I have been using this Petco location for grooming for atleast 8 years now. I am always very happy with how well my dogs have been treated while in the care of the professional groomers. I always know my baby is safe and in good hands when I leave her there. My dog actually pulls me into the salon and tries to break down the door to get into the grooming area, she gets so excited.She always comes out squeaky clean and smelling like roses. I know all of the groomers there are great. Amber & Kellie(who I have had groom my dogs) are fantastic groomers and are really thorough.The prices are fair and they really try to work with your schedule. Hello, my name is Justin. I recently had an awful experience unfortunately at this petco location. I was sold a sick bearded dragon with yellow fungus. I attempted to take further action to be sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else as it was a gift for a nephew. I was very disappointed after bringing the issue to their attention about proper husbandry of the animals as in proper lighting which was entirely vacant for the bearded dragons and other reptiles. Today I stopped by to get cricket s and an employee who knows of the situation advised me that my bearded dragon didn't have fungus but the others did . Even though they told me differently(an employee confirmed it to me a young man, when I returned the dragon and so did the manager). I'm extremely not happy about this because I had to return the bearded dragon and my nephew was up as I was too because these are live creatures and need attended too accordingly. SINCE THEY DONT WANT TO HELP AND DONT CARE ABOUT THE ANIMALS . PLEASE CHANGE THE UVB BULB EVERY 6 MONTHS ITS VERY IMPORTANT OTHERWISE THEYLL DEVELOP A METABOLIC BONE DISEASE . I was helped out greatly finding the trimmers, but upon checking out, the associate was busy on his phone and only charged me for 3 cans of food. However, the store was out of stock, but instead of having a replacement delivered to my home, I was forced to take a refund which means I must order from another store and drive to pick it up. The staff have always been helpful if I needed help finding anything.
