We got married at Tivoli in Fallbrook, CA this past March. Pete was beyond anything we could have ever expected. He is unlike any other DJ, Emcee, in that he offers live music throughout the entire event (even if you have requests he has never performed) AND you review the entire wedding itinerary with Pete multiple times leading up to the event. This service is not a "one and done", even before we booked Pete, and just requested a consult, he was informative, knowledgeable, and shared all the "best practices" from the hundreds of weddings he's performed at! I even requested a special voice recording of a letter I wrote to my dad for my father/daughter dance and Pete made my idea actually come to life. I didn't have to lift a finger. We attended a wedding in November of 2025 where Pete was the musician. He did it all- ceremony, ambient dinner music, and then a rocking reception. When we planned a sit down 50th anniversary dinner for dear friends, we wanted the evening to be special, so we opted to include live music. Pete Goslow was our first and ONLY choice. We knew he would add so much and boy did he. From our initial conversation through a detailed planning process through the evening itself, everything was so complete, smooth, and professional. We knew it was going to be a smash. And it was. Pete provided a fantastic selection of ambient music with vocals from the cocktail hour through dinner and beyond. He pulled from music over the last 50 years so our guests were thrilled to have music from their earlier days. It was often heard - "I love this song. I have not heard it in forever." The highlight of the evening? A suprise laser show that Pete accompanied with a phenomenal, flawless rendition of "Fly Me to the Moon". It was so incredible some guests were moved to tears. My now wife and I had such a great experience from start to finish with Pete. From the beginning Pete was responsive and open to all of our requests, which were many. He stayed responsive and prompt throughout the entire planning process--something we can not say about a majority of the other vendors we hired. The predominant request was not to play the same old tired wedding songs (Shout! YMCA! Don't Stop Believin', Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas, etc.), and stick to a pre-made list of songs. My wife had four separate playlists of 50s-60s for dinner, 70s rock for cocktail and then 80s, 90s, and 2000s for the third hour and current songs for the last hour. These were each also 4 hours long as she has trouble narrowing down her choices (except who she wants tO marry thankfully ;) ). We sent these to Pete along with a "must play" list of songs from each of these but then gave him free discretion to play songs from our ready made lists based on the dance floor mood. He did great by every measure. We were married at The Havens in Vista, CA. For those not familiar, the ceremony takes place outside and requires an escort by golf cart as absolutely no walking is allowed. Although we had a string quartet for the ceremony, Pete still happily set up all the microphones and speakers for the ceremony. He even mic'd the string quartet (his suggestion as we did not know it would be needed). He then performed acoustic guitar and sang beautifully on the patio outside the reception hall during cocktail hour. Finally, his third setup was indoors for the dinner and dancing portion. Pete arrived right on time and we observed him hustling and sweating to move all of the equipment. There were never any issues with delays or setup. The other big request was that a certain family member not ever get a microphone. Not to try and sing during cocktail hour and not to make a speech during dinner. Neither of these happened thankfully and the family member was an issue as our coordinator dropped the ball completely on keeping her out of the bridal suite. We ultimately found Pete through our venue from their preferred vendor list. I always wanted to have a DJ who could not only DJ but also play an instrument. My dream was to have both a DJ and a band but we quickly learned that was not in our budget. However, when we came across Pete, we were ecstatic to learn that he played guitar! This was something that was SO important for my husband. Pete delivered. We hired Pete Goslow to be the emcee (entertainer), musician, and DJ at our wedding. He was HIGHLY recommended to us by a lady at one of the venues we toured. We ultimately decided to get married at one of Trademark's beautiful wedding venues, Twin Oaks Wedding Venue in San Marcos, CA. Bob and I were planning more of a non-traditional wedding and were looking for acoustic vibes with strong vocals, along with someone who had tremendous experience and who could help us bring to life our vision. When we heard the amazing things about Pete, we knew we had to book him. He ended up being the first vendor we officially booked. When first reaching out to Pete, he was super friendly and very informative, which made us feel relaxed and excited! After filling out a service survey, looking over pricing, and seeing if our date was available, he sent us a very detailed contract, outlining everything in a super clear manner. We were given access to a his website (WHICH HAS TONS OF HIS MUSIC SAMPLES) where we could select our music and make playlists. Then, we were able to make our custom timeline together and schedule an informational phone meeting where we went over all our questions, our timeline, our song ideas, and every other little detail. Pete was by far one of the best vendor choices for our wedding. I can say without any hesitation that were it not for Pete, our wedding would have been a disaster. First, Pete composed an amazing timeline that we were able to rely on for the event in general. It was so thorough, I sent out that timeline to everyone--photographers, venue, bridal party. It was amazing; everything was planned right down to the minute. Second, he coordinated amazingly well with the venue and other vendors. He did a walk-through of our venue a couple of weeks before the wedding, and was so kind to the venue staff, we received an email from them complimenting him. When there were hitches in event timing (we were very behind due to late relatives that got lost), Pete helped make adjustments that kept the event alive. Were we listening solely to our other vendors, we might have inadvertently killed the event early. But Pete, with his years of experience and expertise, knew exactly how to best keep the party alive. He got so many people on the dance floor! I don't think I've been to a wedding that had that many people dancing! Third, Pete ensured that we approved each specific track (multiple times). After we selected a track (by name), he would put the song in a file so that we could double-check that he had the correct version. This process of drafting and approving was done multiple times, until we reached a finalized setlist. This level of detail and professionalism was impressive at first, but then proved to be even more impressive later when at the wedding, someone tried to get Pete to change the song mid-play, saying that he was playing the wrong song. Other DJs may have folded under that kind of pressure, but not Pete. He politely told our guest that the music was correct and kept cool and focused. Fourth, Pete is the best bang for your buck. Between his expertise, his experience, his flexibility, his DJ AND guitar playing skills, he is probably one of the best choices we made for our wedding. This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married in July 2021. Pete made our wedding phenomenal! We still receive so many compliments about how fun our wedding was and our DJ/music! We have Pete to thank for that. He was very responsive with our emails and answered all of our questions. The portal we had to use online was user-friendly and a huge help when it came to selecting our song choices. The day our wedding rolled around he made each song transition as smooth as can be. I'm sad that I just didn't get the time to meet him in person much, but we had talked to him for several hours prior to the wedding. He is organized and keeps you on schedule (very respectfully) from the beginning of your contract with him. There were so many details that he asked about, that I wouldn't have thought about until the wedding day. These go way beyond "just music", including detailed timelines and special events throughout the night. Having all of these details planned and decided early on is a lot of what I found to be the reason for an almost completely stress-free wedding that I just got to thoroughly enjoy by the time the day came. He helped with advice on suggested music, kept our tastes in mind while ensuring that all of our guests enjoyed their night. He pays such close attention, that songs were changed nearly immediately upon a song leading to less dancing (per one of my ladies- I didn't even notice). We were able to make lists of desired music, which I heard many of and fit perfectly into the rest. No song was unavailable, he made what we wanted happen. In addition to the incredibly helpful organization, easy to work with personality and program, and amazing song lists/banks, my highlight with Pete was his wonderful talent for both the DJ skill and musician aspect. For most of our special songs, we had Pete perform for us. He performed for our ceremony and mother/son and father daughter dances. We got married at the Casino San Clemente in San Clemente, California this spring and Pete was AMAZING- our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him! From our first conversation, we knew we had to look no further. Not only was so professional and knowledgeable, but he right away felt like a friend. Through the whole planning process he was always there for us to answer questions or talk things through, always sharing his ideas and opinions which were so much appreciated. They say wedding planning is stressful, but it wasn't with Pete- he made it so easy! He was so thorough and timely while building our timelines and made everything so easy for us. We even had some last minute changes days before the wedding and Pete took care of it no problem and partnered with our coordinator to make the day go off without a hitch. I've never seen anything like it! This review is long overdue, but my husband and I could not have been more impressed with Pete for our May 2019 wedding. He was such a joy to work with and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Pete is super organized and will give you his input based on his experience, but will respect whatever decision you choose. His website made the planning leading up to the wedding convenient, and he made sure to check in with us periodically to make sure everything was on track. He reached out directly to our vendor to coordinate timelines and really took the pressure off of me to make sure the day would flow. For the wedding day, he and Jeremy were there early and set up on time to play while our guests were arriving. We chose to have him sing and play guitar before and after our ceremony, and he sounded great. Several of our guests commented on how impressed they were with him. Further, he worked with our venue coordinator and photographers to make sure our wedding went smoothly, and improvised when certain events took longer than expected. I valued his opinion so much that I even called him to get his take on decorations one day and he talked through it with me. His whole approach was to make sure we had the night of our lives, and I could not have been happier. He made sure he played the songs we specifically requested, and improvised his playlist for certain songs the guests requested during the reception. He even played one of my favorite songs that I hadn't requested, which was very special to me. It's super important to choose a musician/DJ that is experienced and will keep you calm for your big day; Pete is that guy!! One last thing that stood out to me... when we asked him which meal he preferred, he let me know that Jeremy would be there to help him, and that he would prefer Jeremy received the meal if there was only one for them. We had Pete running the show from beginning to end and we could not have been happier with the performance he gave for our big day. He was listed as one of our preferred vendors for our venue at Twin Oaks House and Garden Estate so we knew he had to be good to make it on a list like boy did he deliver. He was super responsive when we first reached out and made the whole planning process a breeze. Music was something I was very particular about for our wedding and so it was probably the things that felt the most overwhelming as well. Pete has a great website set up that made the planning process not only soooooo much easier, but it actually made it a really fun experience for my now husband and I. He played acoustically and sang for our ceremony and our cocktail hour which was such an amazing touch and our guests still rant and rave about it to this day. Then he was able to completely switch gears into DJ mode for dinner and dancing and we never had an empty dance floor after that. Overall he was so easy to work with and such a sweet guy. We love his versatility and he was the exact touch we where looking for to make sure the entire ambiance of our big day was always dialed in exactly where we wanted it. One of the best things we did was book Pete for our wedding at Boulder Ridge Golf Course in San Jose. He is exactly what every other review has already stated - EVERY_SINGLE_ONE! After talking to Pete he was the very last thing I had to worry about because I knew he had everything under control and things would turn out fine...and they did! Pete was responsive (and patient) with all my calls and email inquiries. He is truly professional because every other vendor from the coordinator, the officiant, photographer, all said the same thing. Personally I feel Pete could and should charge a lot more for the quality of service you are getting from a single person. He setup EVERYTHING from the ceremony mic, live ceremony and cocktail music, and reception music/lighting. Pete is also super organized beyond words. He helped with our timeline and to keep things on track, as well as other MC duties without skipping a beat. Advice for anyone out there is to pick a few fave songs then let Pete worry about the rest. Although I must admit I picked the BEST dinner songs and live cocktail hour selection in town :) If Pete doesn't think something is "working", he will tell you and adjust the music/timeline to fit the crowd. Our Sunday wedding was more of a classy, long dinner party with great wine and music. We actually expected people to leave early due to their long days, kids activities, and long commutes home. My wife and I married on June 29, 2019, at the Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla, CA. Not only was Pete a spectacular performer, emcee, and DJ on our wedding day, he was vital to our planning process. Pete was very attentive from our first conversation to our last. He made it clear that he was always available to help in any way that he could. It turned out he ended up helping us much more than we could have expected. With 18 days to go before our wedding, we had our venue and all of our vendors booked. We were pretty happy with our planning efforts and figured the rest was going to be a breeze. We were mistaken. Our entire wedding day timeline needed planning. Thankfully, we had hired Pete Goslow. When hiring Pete, we never expected him to play the most significant role in planning our day. In the days leading up to the wedding with friends and family, my wife and I would joke that "the DJ planned the wedding." As silly as the statement seems, it is free of all exaggeration. Pete was indispensable. We started with a blank sheet of paper and over the phone put together our dream wedding timeline. Pete's knowledge and experience were remarkable. He arranged our events, paying particular attention to time buffers to ensure nothing felt rushed or stressful and created detailed timelines for both our ceremony and reception. He helped us fit it all together. All of our vendors on our wedding day were operating off of Pete's timeline, even the coordinators! Everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day. The timeline Pete created was perfect. We are so grateful to him for all the work he put into it! On our wedding day, we had Pete play the acoustic guitar during our ceremony. His acoustic rendition of the song we chose was beautiful and could not have been better. He is a brilliant guitarist. During cocktail hour, we asked Pete to play the acoustic guitar and sing. We left the song choices up to him. There is something classy and beautiful about having live music. Pete's performance made the cocktail hour more memorable and enjoyable for our guests. As the cocktail hour was finishing, many of our guests came over to us and complimented us on both the song choices and the musician. It was a great feeling! We learned the importance of having good music and a good emcee/DJ. Pete kept the day flowing just as planned through gentle announcements and directions to our guests. I have been to events where there is dead time and guests are unsure what is next or what to do. Pete made sure our day flowed like an absolute dream. Music sets the mood. We gave Pete a list of songs from a specific genre to play during dinner. He added to our list with great songs from that genre. As my wife and I went around to various tables to say hello, almost all of our guests complimented the music. We loved the collection Pete put together. While Pete's passion for playing live music is undeniable, he is also a great DJ. During the dancing portion of the evening, Pete kept the dance floor going. DJ Pete was by far one our our favorite vendors to work with during the wedding planning process. He was extremely responsive and organized. Pete was recommended to us by another highly regarded DJ who was unavailable during our wedding, and it turned out to be an incredible blessing. Good music and having people dancing the whole time was of utmost importance to us. An incredible bonus of having Pete DJ the ceremony was that he is also an incredible classical guitarist.
