The salesman, Gideon Bessemer (sp) which I later found out was fired from Pete Mankins went to work at Toyota of Waco sold me a used lemon!!! Gideon stated this car went through 180 point check?? Less than six months later: I have a huge bill of $1200 for this 2020 Lexus NX300!!! In less than six months the rear brakes that were down to 20 percent had to be replaced, an air filter, and a battery. Unbelievable!!!! When I asked Gideon to pay for it, his response was wear and tire!!! Really ???? Everyone!!!! Watch Out!!!! These guys tried swindling me on a used vehicle. I asked specifically if there was any damage to the vehicle or any issues mechanically, so they took a few pictures of the outside where there was some damage. Well I drove over 2 hours to negotiate a deal. Then I discover by going to an independent mechanic, that there are codes for lean fuel system and several sensors that are not working as well as the expensive sonar system is not working, and brakes pulsing, tires out of balance, and here is the big kicker... The front end had been damaged and repaired incompletely and incompetently so the paint wasn't complete and several parts were missing/broken and including the grill. To even the untrained eye, the front end had been hacked back together. When I brought these issues up, the sales manager decided to point out that my car that I drove there wasn't perfect either and that he was "offended" that I was pointing out the imperfections of this used vehicle. I offered him a price that was book minus the cost of me repairing the damages and taking a risk on the fuel and occupancy sensors. He said he was offended at my offer as well. And wouldn't meet in the middle either. Amazingly, he inaccurately accused me of only wanting to buy and flip this vehicle. If you're looking for used cars and want to avoid being manipulated, steer clear of these guys. To his credit, the initial salesman was fair and easy to work with, though he didn't know much about the vehicle even when I showed up to look 5 hours after starting the conversation. I hope they have the integrity to contact me and offer an explanation for this behavior, but that is very unlikely. My review is based on a one time experience with the service department. I was driving through on a road trip and my car was doing some strange things so I decided to get it checked out. They told me that the problem was caused by differences in my tread depth. They showed me how one tread is at 5 and the other is 8. It took them no time at all to tell me that my problem was with the tread on my tires. They charged me $155 to check my tread depth! They also did not have tires to match the ones on my car so they couldn't even fix the problem. The only reason I am not giving them a one star is because the lady who waited on me was trying very hard to be nice even though her hands were tied by her manager, who insisted that she charge me the diagnostic fee. I saw their ad for a 2025 frontier about $6k discounted sale price. so I called and drove 1 hr went there the next day. salesman tried to say the price was without the $6k rebate discount and asked me for proof of it so then I had to show him a pic I took of their saleprice. finally after bk and forth hassle to a mgr I got the price they asvertised. paid 21k cash and about 8500 with a check. they failed to inform me they hold checks for 15 days. omg! otherwise I would've paid all in cash! so I called yesterday telling them I'd be there at 9 to get my title so today I went to get my title so I could go to Ar dmv and pay taxes. but I arrived at 9 am and the bs office door locked and when they opened it they said that Mgr won't get here till 10:30 (?!)and she's the only one that has the safe combination to get my title out so I asked them to text her and tell her I'm from outta town would she come?now but she texted bk no 10:30 why isn't she at work at 9am?! so I had to go and come back and kill about an hr and half very unprofessional treatment to a cash paying customer! read more

The service manager was so nice and extremely helpful. She coordinated my service with my warranty company and it yielded great results. The mechanic was extremely knowledgeable and skillful. Two mechanics couldn't find the cause of a wheel noise I was having. He found a floating tire weight inside the wheel and also removed the brake squeal others couldn't. They will be my lifelong maintenance and car dealership!!! read more

I said I was going to take my review down after they fixed a problem they created. I went and got my windows tinted...I paid $428. The tint looks good, but when I first picked up my car my door panel wasn't working. Window on the driver side wouldn't roll down, motorized nirrors weren't operating, and the locks were stuck. After 3 times of dropping my car off it was finally fixed back to functioning. But, the lady at the front desk of the service department was RUDE AF. Not Kristy, the other lady. I thought I was happy after they fixed the problem , but no. Botched up my door...this wasn't cracked up like that. I just got my car of the dealership lot 2 weeks prior. So, no it wasn't like that until I took it here to get my windows done. Smh read more

On July 27, 2020 I began the process of buying a 2019 Nissan Titan SV with approximately 4,302 miles, from Pete Mankins Nissan, this was an online purchase. I was told by the salesman, Jonathan Webb, via text that it has a clean Carfax report, which it does. There was a trade in for my 2010 Subaru Forester for $3,000 included in this transaction. The truck was delivered on or about July 28th. There was no apparent body damage, the truck drove as a new truck with 4,000 miles on it should drive. Everything was as it should be. On October 25th my wife hauled no more than 6,000 pounds of horses out of town. When she returned I brought my truck to the car wash and immediately noticed two very distinct paint chips along the back area of the cab, as well as chips on the bed of the truck, indicating that they bed flexed into the cab and caused damage. I asked my wife what had happened and she was entirely unaware that she had done anything wrong. She drove to the horse show with a client and her daughter in the truck, and drove home. She did nothing else. I then take the truck in for an At-Fault insurance claim to repair the paint. Upon review of the truck, the shop measures the frame is entirely bent out of shape, the passenger door has been repainted, along with bondo body repair work. He informs me that multiple gaps lines throughout the front passenger side of the vehicle are off, but it is not something that a consumer would notice unless they have previous knowledge of body work. They tell me there is a concern that my insurance will not cover the extensive damage to the vehicle because it is highly unlikely that we caused it simply by hauling a 6,000 pound trailer. On December 16th I called Mankins Nissan service and requested the service records for the vehicle, I spoke to Kriste Marlin. I was put on hold after providing the VIN, after a 7 minute hold I was told she would have to get back to me because she didn't have access to them but would try to find them and call me back. I also asked what type of inspection they do on used cars before selling them. Kristie told me if the mileage is low enough they don't do an inspection. I asked "So you did not do an inspection on my used vehicle before selling to make sure it was safe?" I was told she would look that up and let me know when she called me back. I have not yet received a call back. On a separate call the same day I spoke to Lance Russell, General Manager, briefly going over the issue. He immediately told me that I need to take this up with Carfax and ended the call. On December 17th I called McGavock Nissan (1st owner) and requested the service records for the vehicle. I was put on hold for a few minutes, then told by Jeri Putman that she would call me back. About an hour later she called me back and told me her "higher ups" would not allow her to give me that information. I called Nissan at 1-800-647-7261 on December 21st to begin the claim with them. Shaden took my statement and provided me with a case number and forwarded it up the chain to a case officer who she said would contact me within 2 days. I called Nissan on two more occasions between December 21st and January 25th to continue with this claim, each time we "restarted" the claim I was told I would receive a call back from the dealer w/in 2 business days. This never happened. January 25, 2021 I called Pete Mankins to discuss this claim and was told that there is nothing they can do and I am expected to make informed decisions before purchasing a vehicle. I reiterated that the damage was underbody and frame damage, "Am I expected to go to those lengths?" She told I need make an informed decision before buying a vehicle. September 1st, 2021 Missouri Attorney Generals Office informs me that Pete Mankins will not respond to their request for information and I can take this matter to small claims court as there is nothing more they can do if there is no response. And no pressure in adding things I didn't want as far as service extras. I actually had to ask for the gap plan insurance. I will be purchasing from them again. Bought a 2018 Toyota 86 online and paid a total of over $28000.including tax. Pictures and videos were sent and few minor damages were pointed out which i was aware of.. after the transcation the vehicle was transported to the Houston area and before it was unloaded from the trailer I saw that the left side of the front bumper was damaged and split from the bottom..I was not made aware of this damage and the delivery guy said he saw the damage before he loaded the vehicle from the dealersgip. I went ahead and accepted the vehicle in the hopes that it was not an intentional deception just an oversight. I spoke with a used car sales manager and without knowing the extent of the situation blamed me stating I should have looked at the pictures closely and insulted me by offering a $200 AMEX gift card for a damage that will cost me over $1000.00. Not once did the salesman disclose the damage to the front bumper during our several conversations and texts exchanged. I spoke with the salesman and showed him the damage while the vehicle was still on the trailer and he stated that he must have overlooked the damage or he would have mentioned it to me before the sale. It is unfortunate that someone is taken advantage of the way that I was when I went to Pete Mankins Nissan in Texarkana TX. I went to the dealership to see about refinancing my 2021 Nissan Murano SL, I had a small loan on it and I was pressured into trading my 2021 Nissan Murano SL that I absolutely loved for a 2021 Nissan Rogue, half the value of my vehicle, I was left with a car payment on a vehicle I do not like at all, then I'm told that I could trade the Rogue in for a stripped down Murano and but my car payment would double. I was given $27,000 trade in on a $39,000 vehicle I had just purchased in February 2021, I asked if we could just cancel the deal the day after and get my Murano back but I was told NO. They have my vehicle on the used car lot listed for $40,000. I asked if they would buy back my Rogue, I paid $28,000 and they said they could offer me $20,000 one day after the transaction. It is so sad that I was taken advantage of in this situation and I lost so much money due to this and I'm stuck with a vehicle that is very undesirable to say the least. Then to make matters worse, when I did show up to the dealership to discuss this situation, the finance manager walks right in front of me as if I didn't exist and was treated very rudely. 1 star is far more than they deserve. One of the worst experinces in my life. The staff has no care for you at all. They will look you in the eyes and lie to your face about everything from the price you pay, to what you are actually getting for that price. The tactic they like to use is, they will make you wait for hours and hours, on the financing side after you drove the car discussed the price and agreed on terms, then finally calling you back to sign the paperwork, this is where you need to make them wait for hours while you pour over every single letter in the contract. This is where they add to the price of the car not just in extras they actually raised the sell price of the car more than 10%. They gave me 50% of what they quoted me on my trade in. They told me I was buying an extended warenty but turns out, I was sold oil changes and tire rotations for another 20% the cost of the vehicle. The whole crew there are nothing but con-men, liars, and cheats. I believe the man who sold me the car was named Steve White. Do not trust him he will lie straight to your face without hesitation. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY NEED TO LEARN A LESSON THAT ONLY YOUR DOLLARS CAN TEACH THEM!!! read more

I bought a 2016 Maxima SR from this dealership in September 2015 only because I really liked the car. The salesman was not at all helpful, could not answer my questions, even told me he couldn't connect my iPhone to the system because they were android based. They told me to go to the website and give a good review and I would get a free oil change and detail. I did and never got that. They insisted I needed the extended warranty and assured me that it was refundable if I traded the vehicle, so against my better judgment I paid more than 2000 dollars for it. I traded the car in August 2016. The dealership I used gave me the paperwork to get the pro-rated refund from my extended warranty. I took it to Pete Mankins and gave it to a woman that was less than pleasant and waited for the check. Almost 1 year later now (June 2017) and I'M STILL WAITING! The latest reason I've been given for the wait was "Oh here it is. I must have forgotten to send that in." REALLY?? I consider myself to be very patient but this is ridiculous. I have obviously made a huge mistake buying from this dealership. I guess I'm going to have to bring in some help to get my money. I bought my vehicle on 3/20 and didn't receive my plates until 6/6. Come to find out (only b/c I called them, they never called me) they did not get my vehicle inspected prior to delivering to me, therefore they couldn't get my registration. I had to pay for my inspection (in additional to already paying the TT&L fees) and send to them so they could apply for registration. I made 2 car payments and paid almost 3 months of insurance before they told me the vehicle hadn't even been transferred to me because of their mistake. Luckily, I live in a smaller town and the shop that inspected it, didn't require me to provide proof of purchase, but did question how it happened. They were quick to make the sale and SLOW to follow through with the remaining process. Also, I bought a 2018 certified pre-owned and I asked 6 times for copies of what is covered under a "certified" vehicle before I received. The sales rep blamed their lack of organization on the building remodel and after calling the manager (that never called me back) and texting, emailing and calling the sales rep multiple times, I finally received. If you are looking for a dealership that can sale you a vehicle and then drop you before they actually finalize it, this is your dealership. If you're looking for a dealership and sales rep that will actually finish the process and finish is in a timely manner, GO SOMEWHERE else. Luckily, I love my car and I live 7 hours from the dealership or I would've been there daily until I got what they promised. Vehicles are an investment, don't settle for a dealership that treats you this way. I definitely wont do it again. By the way, I'm still waiting on copies of the signed contract... read more

I wish I could give this dealership a negative one star, but I had to give it one star to give my opinion. I called the Pete Mankins Nissan service department to check to see how much a full transmission flush would be. I wanted to make sure all of the transmission fluid would be drained and replaced with this service. The reason for this is because I had purchased this vehicle from a private party recently and it had 85k miles on it. I was told by the service employee, "All the transmission fluid was taken out and replaced and the mechanic said the transmission fluid looked like it was never changed." When it was time to pay for the service, I was given a higher price to pay then what I was quoted. At my request, the price was corrected to what I was originally told. I looked at the receipt, and nothing was documented about a full transmission fluid flush being done. I then spoke with a mechanic in the service department who said he didn't even have the capability to do a complete transmission fluid flush. I asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation to him and I said this was my first visit to Pete Mankins Nissan. My experience did not represent this dealership well. As he was walking away from me, he said he apologized, but there was nothing he could do about the situation. read more
