Now that it was sold, it has gone downhill. How far downhill? At the bottom of the hill. I was with them up to two years ago. Moved to Florida. returned my plates. I kept one car with them that was my daughters under her address. This past May 2022, I was looking for insurance that would be cheaper than Progressive, who I was with in Florida. Allstate came up. The Call Center sent me back to the Agency I was with on Long Island. I am not an Insurance broker. I do not know the law that you need insurance in the State that your Plates are. And Allstate is a large company. They knew I moved. Maybe they were putting me with a Florida Division but letting the Long Island Agency handle it? They should know. They knew the past. They knew the facts. Two weeks ago, I got pulled over in Florida, and my license plate was taken away because I had a suspended license, which I did not know. I called Allstate Agency, and they tried to resolve it with Corporate. But was unsuccessful. All the time The Allstate Agency knew that that me, having insurance in NY and Florida plates was illegal. Four weeks ago, I sold a car and had them take it off the policy. They knew I had Florida plates. Which should have been the Red Flag. But it wasn't. The agent in the office knew what was going on and it was illegal. That agent NEVER brought it up to Niklolai. So, Nikolai was not aware. When he did become aware, he refused to reimburse me for the plates, fines and cab rides I had to take because I did not have a license for a week. My Reimbursement was $616.00. He refused to pay it. Refused to even discuss it. The buck should stop with him. He is not a standup guy. He did not know what was going on in his office which really disappoints me. He should be aware of everything. We, as consumers have many choices. Choose wisely. Choose a firm that values their customers. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way. After 26 years with the same company. Sad. You work with your customers. You compromise. You make everyone happy. I am not happy. Find another broker. When I sue him (I will), it will cost him more than $616.00!

Which resulted in our policy getting cancelled. I escalated my issue to every senior manager at Geico and no one could reinstate the policy. I called John looking to get a comparable new policy with hours he had my old policy reinstated and was able to tweak the coverage so I was saving $200! He is a kind and considerate person. Liz did much of the "grunt" work in the process of lowering my insurance bill. They looked over my policy with a fine toothed comb and found issues that had me paying too much. As a result, I stayed with the same company but John and Liz saved me $450.00 a year plus got me better coverage. I call the 800# to pay my bill after several frustrating calls to this agency; even the 800service agent called them and said 'I don't know what is going on over there'. To add a renters policy Alan, from Keats, had me jump thru many hoops, including emailing him a photo of my mail box (what?) - Then I never heard from him again. After finding out I was paying $17 a month too much since the 1990s for an extra driver I asked Alliah if I could get retro active payback, Alliah had me send her my 25 year old divorce papers and a letter of confirmation from my ex. Humiliating but I did it. Never heard back from Alahia. Their on-hold message has 'Ron Keats' saying that customers get a policy review every year. I have never gotten that call. At the moment I am waiting one hour + for a call back from a person of authority. I don't think there is one.
