His bedside manner was exceptional: calm, compassionate, and reassuring during one of the most frightening times in our lives. It was immediately clear that he is not only extremely knowledgeable but also truly top-notch in his field. What impressed us most was his expertise and quick thinking during surgery. He had the foresight to take a portion of the biopsy and have it frozen for a preliminary pathology determination. This saved us critical time, and in our case, time mattered--because the final diagnosis of Primary Brain Lymphoma required chemotherapy to begin as quickly as possible. Even after surgery, Dr. Schwartz continued to check in on us, which meant more than words can express. He treated my husband like a person, not just a case, and that kind of care is rare. He is, however, extremely confident, which is reassuring when a patient has exhausted almost all hope for a diagnosis. He has listened to my every single complaint, as major or minor as it may have been, and if he did not have an immediate answer, he was CONFIDENT that A) I would not be ignored and B) the problem will be found and resolved. He has always listened to me very carefully. This man cares in an industry where patients are increasingly treated like cattle. I know he is among the most highly…read morerated orthopedic surgeons in the city and he is the one who did my left hip replacement in February 2021. The operation caused me no pain at any stage (sure the meds helped) and the after care was excellent with the result that after limping for five years before the operation I now walk normally, thank God. His care went beyond fixing my hip because I mentioned a pain in my right hip when I rose in the mornings. He said it was back arthritis, I think, and gave me a simple exercise to strengthen my core which worked extremely well. I feel no pain anymore, my posture has improved and I am conscious of the role of my core as I walk upright and confidently. His staff was polite and professional and at all stages I felt assured that Dr. Moucha wanted to make we well. I return to him 2/23/22 for my final examination full of admiration for a great doctor. Since in most practices whoever is the one on call when you go into labor is the one who will be doing that, I would say the practice is important. So I chose a place which had a strong group of doctors. In this place, I trusted and felt good about every doctor I met there. The front desk made sure to schedule me with all of them throughout the pregnancy so I could meet them. What I liked the most was their evidence-based practice that was updated on all the latest data. This was combined with a warm and attentive manner. They were very responsive through their patient portal. The front desk was wonderful too. In terms of the pandemic response, they were very safe and followed the guidelines. Temperature checks, screening questions, masks, sanitizer. During the height of the pandemic I would be the only one in the whole waiting room and would be taken to the exam room right away. In the end Dr. Elliston was the one who was there for the childbirth even though Dr. Ng was technically the assigned OBGYN in the beginning of the pregnancy, and thus I was glad I really liked them both and trusted them both. So far I have enjoyed the practice and I'm thankful for their care.
