He helped me diagnose my food allergies and has been a huge help with any question I've brought him, and he actually listens and remembers his patients. Dr. Charles is also exceptional in that he won't just jump to prescription medicines to fix symptoms; he wants to find the root problem and treat that, instead of symptoms. He will also recommend herbal remedies and dietary changes when he thinks that will work better than prescription drugs, which is rare for western doctors. The whole staff is very kind, and as someone else mentioned, there is never a long wait. My husband and I both recommend Dr. Charles and his nurse practitioner very highly.

stay away from this practice! this practice totally discriminates against against patients with…read moredisabilities. they canceled my appointment because i am a patient who has a mobility scooter. (please see scooter posted). they have an elevator lift and told me that all wheelchairs and scooter patients are accessible to using it. they caed to confirm my appointment for 10/6/22 & i wanted to be reassured that their examination room would accommodate my scooter that is posted .. they didn't really reassure me, but i confirmed my appointment. approximately 2 minutes later the office manager norma calls me back and cancels me back and all of a sudden tells me thst that my scooter is not permitted on the elevator lift. i have to leave my scooter in the driveway. i refused to do so considering i have difficulty walking. my scooter was in their office 1 week prior for my son's appointment and they allowed me to use the lift. bottom line, they considered me and my scooter a nusiance and troublesome and they did not want to treat me and that is discrimination. stay away from that doctor! they told

I discovered it uploaded to my account afterwards so that's how I knew about it. Not okay. Also a year later, still dealing with the same billing problems. Which my insurance covers in full 3 visits. Mind you, I only went once. But they charged me twice for different amounts saying it was for my deductible. Which when I checked, they made not only those mistakes but I constantly had to call from them putting the wrong code and calling my insurance going back and forth for hours. Also hidden fees, lab work contacted me with another bill. Which hopefully doesn't roll into collections! I wasn't told about a lab charge, just said it was all included in a regular checkup appointment. Not only am I waiting for my claims to be disputed, I'm waiting for refunds. I disliked my whole experience there, so already changed PCP's and to those who are thinking of coming here.. Do so at your own peril. Actually, just don't. No one knows what they're doing! She is focused, intelligent, and has a lovely demeanor. I also really appreciate the nursing staff. Whomever greets patients upon entering a doctors office really sets the tone for the rest of the visit. Dr. Cao's staff is courteous, respectful, and pleasant. One last touch that really supports the visit is the relaxing spa-like music in the waiting room. More often than not, we visit doctors when something is going wrong. Setting up a calming waiting environment lends itself to a supportive healing environment. As far as the wait goes, sometimes I wait a bit longer than others but that, in my opinion, is a normal part of any physician's practice. Frankly, I've never waited more than 30 min. and I find that reasonable. When it's my turn, I receive the care and attention that all patients deserve.

I came here due to a change in my medical insurance and from a referral from a friend and have not regretted it. Whether you have a standing appointment or need to come in for immediate care, you will be accommodated and well taken care of. Dr. Kobren and the group here are part of NYU Langone Medical and they are well equipped to handle your PCP needs. They also do great with cardiac care. Their equipment is top notch and most of the testing you need for basic, non-emergency care can be handled right on the building. They share the floor with dentists Drs. Lawrence Kobren and Michael Greenbaum and the shared waiting area has been completely renovated and remodeled not too long ago. It is very attractive and clean and can accommodate plenty of patients. You can also watch a little TV to make your wait time pass a little quicker and more enjoyably.
